CAIRN TERRIER ASSOCIATION LIMITED SHOW
HELD ON SUNDAY 4th OCTOBER 2009 AT
PEOPLETON VILLAGE HALL, WORCS.
JUDGE MR RAY SMALLWOOD
I
was impressed with the quality and overall appearance of the bitches which in
my opinion was outstanding. Mouths were
good, the majority moved with drive and determination and others I have seen
move better in the past. Generally
coats were good and well presented.
It
was a lovely day and my thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge, it
was much appreciated.
Veteran Dog/Bitch 4 (2)
1. Jennings Doonrae Virtuoso – 13 year old dark
brindle dog with grey muzzle. Last time
I went over this dog, a decade ago I gave him best of breed. He moved and showed well for an old timer.
Coat just coming in, but will be just right for the winter! Best Veteran
2. Jennings Doonrae Youthfulness – 10 year old
dark brindle, son of the winner. A
happy little dog, like his father moved and showed well, a credit to his owner.

Puppy Dog 1
1. Sopers Elitecharm Dream Boy – 11 month old
male who was a pleasure to go over. Lovely masculine head with good bite,
lovely front, well sprung ribs, level top line, strong hindquarters. Good looking dog liked his outline and
confirmation.
Junior
Dog 3 (1)
1. Peers Tweedisle That Lone Guy – 14 month old
wheaten dog, handsome looking head, correct ear placement. Good front, well
sprung ribs, level top line, nicely
developed hindquarters. Moved well.
2. Kinchin’s Tryreece’s Tricks – 15 month old
wheaten with a good coat, nice head, correct bite, level top line.
Novice Dog 3 (1)
1. Tutchings Tribannon Gypsy King at Crowneast
– A well made wheaten with correct ear
placement, good length of neck flowing into well laid back shoulders. Well sprung ribs, moved parallel, in good
condition.
2. Heidecker & Inett’s Hydecker Norman –
Brindle dog with good head, nice front and hindquarters, level top line. Moved
well.
Post Graduate Dog 4 (2)
1. Marshall’s Strathgarten Cracker Jack –
Nearly two year old red dog. Good head and neck flowing into well laid back
shoulders. Well sprung ribs, good level
top line, strong hindquarters. Well presented, moved well.
2. Peers Tweedisle Krazy Koot – Very well
turned out 2 year old wheaten dog. Good
mouth with plenty of width, good correct bite, good head, good hindquarters.
Liked his overall appearance.
Good
class.
Open Dog 2
1. Moseley’s Elizabethan Onyx – Two and a half
year old wheaten dog. Well constructed, muscular but not overly so. Super head, well laid back shoulders with
well sprung ribs. Nicely muscled
hindquarters. Good tail set – very
neat.
Proved
to be a handful for his handler, but did enough to be awarded Best Dog.
2. Sopers Uniquecottage Ring Plover – Nice dog,
moved well. Construction of this dog
not as good as 1. Well presented.

1. Kinchins Tyreece’s Tricks
Minor Puppy Bitch 2
1. Osborn’s Tweslam Winter Magic – A well
presented 8 month old red bitch. Good front nice head and expression, nice top
line and tail set, liked her outline, super coat, looked good, moved well. Res.
Best Bitch & Best Puppy in Show.
2. Pett’s Doonrae Joie De Vivre – 7 month old
red. Close decision with 1, both were outstanding youngsters.
Puppy Bitch 2
1. Soper’s Elitecharm Brindle Beauty – Another
good class. 11 month old wheaten
brindle. Liked her front, good mouth, good head. Nicely sprung ribs, correct
top line, good hindquarters, lovely bitch.
2. Owen’s Honeyhall Handful at Caldwall - Wheaten brindle nearly a year old. Feminine
head and expression, good top line, well sprung rib, well muscled hindquarters.
A well proportioned bitch, only just lost out to 1. Good class.
Novice Bitch 6 (2)
1. Osborn’s Tweslam Maid By Magic – Another
good class. A red with good head, mouth and bite. Correct front and top line,
strong hindquarters, good coat, moved well, lovely bitch.
2. Peers Tweedisle Silver Lady - 14 month old wheaten, good head, good
front, level top line, good hindquarters. Moved well.
Post Graduate Bitch 5 (1)
1. Osborn’s Tweslam Serendipity – Good head,
well defined stop, correct bite. Well sprung ribs, good strong hindquarters.
Alert and wanting to show off.
2. Confue’s
Anjofra Welcome to La La Land – Good bitch with good head, eyes and
mouth. Correct ear placement. Well
sprung ribs, strong hindquarters.
Another good class.
Open Bitch 7 (3)
1. Pett’s Cairngold Gunning for Gold – A very
well presented wheaten in top form. Beautiful feminine head and expression.
Liked her overall conformation and ring presence. Nothing overly exaggerated on
this very promising bitch. B.O.B.
2. Moseley’s Carradine Sapphire at Spawyche –
Feminine expression, lovely bitch in good coat and condition just missed out to
1 on the day.
Special Beginners Bitch 2
1. Byrne’s Little Miss Tonka – Almost 2 years
old wheaten bitch, nice honest bitch, well presented moved well, very attentive
show girl, keep at it.
2. Melia’s Roachdee Sweet Dreams – Good front
and moved with drive.
