I would like to thank the Committee for the invitation to judge the CTA Open Show 2007, all the exhibitors for their entries and Peter Owen and Linda Hughes for their great assistance as ring stewards. I really enjoyed the day!
VD or VB (7, 2a)
1. Petts’ Doonrae Dragoon. 7 years old dark brindle dog of good size. Nice head and expression. Good bite. Level back and good tail set. Nicely balanced. Moved well and parallel. BV.
2. Oldale’s Ch Tweslam Abracadabra. 8 years old dark brindle bitch of very good confirmation. Nice head and expression. Good bite. Great temperament. Moved well. 3. Birch’s Ch Kinkim Prinzludy.
MPD (4, 1a)
1. Short’s Glenchess All In The Stars. Grey brindle puppy with good temperament. Good bite. Moved well.
2. Peers’ Tweesdisle The Good Guy. Balanced wheaten puppy with good coat and dark points. Moved a bit loose in front.
3. Lee’s Berrybone Cross My Shadow.
PD (5, 2a)
1. Waugh’s Tribannon Warlord. Grey brindle puppy with good head and expression. Level back when moving. Well angulated. Strides out on the move with lots of energy. A handful! BP.
2. Innet & Heidecker’s Hyde Castle Ozzy Oswald. Wheaten puppy with good temperament. Good angulation. Good mover. Slightly lower on the legs than 1.
3. Petts’ Doonrae Ghillie.
JD (6, 2a)
1. Hooton’s Penticharm Party Knight. Wheaten, nice head and expression with good bite, stop, ear set and eye colour. Level back and good tail set. Well-angulated. Moved well and parallel. In excellent condition. Very well presented. BIS.
2. Stephinson’s Twohoots Barnabas. Another wheaten of good confirmation. Nice head. Good bite. Level back on the move. Moved well.
3. Inett & Harrison’s Glenchess Gabriel Over Carradine.
MD (3, 2a)
1. Peers’ Tweesdisle That Special Son. Nice head and dark ears. Good coat. Good angulation behind. Moved well but a bit narrow behind.
ND (2)
1. Parker-Tucker’s Uniquecottage Yessie. Wheaten-red with dark points. Level topline and good tail set. Moved nicely when settled.
2. Peers’ Tweedisle Piper Boy. Wheaten, slightly higher on the legs than 1. Moved okay when settled, should drive more behind.
PGD (7)
1. Saich’s Lindcoly High Flyer. Nice wheaten dog with dark points. Good bite. Level topline on the move. Good front, good tail set. Moved well.
2. Peers’ Tweedisle Sweet Talking Guy. Balanced dark brindle dog. Good bite. Good angulation behind. Good mover.
3. Birch’s Kinkim Kernul.
LD (3, 2a)
1. Firth & Jones’ Cairngold Jackpot. Wheaten dog with good head, good bite and dark ears. Well balanced and good temperament. Good shoulders and back angulation. Moved well. RBD.
OD (2, 1a)
1. Saich’s Lindcoly Golden Legend. Red dog with good head. Good bite. Nice eye colour. Good angulation. Moved with drive.
SBD (2)
1. Frost’s Penticharm Black Jack. Well balanced dark brindle dog with nice head. Well angulated. Good movement.
2. Ough’s Ocedar Zephyr. Red dog. Slightly shorter in neck than 1. Well angulated behind. Moved well.
MPB (10, 3a)
1. Short’s Glenchess Dark Imp. Balanced dark brindle puppy. Good head and expression. Good movement.
2. Waugh’s Tribannion Hermione. A very nice wheaten baby. Nice coat. Lovely temperament. Moved well.
3. Lee’s Berrybone Can’t Come In.
PB (7, 1a)
1. Moseley’s Carradine Sapphire At Spawyche. Wheaten puppy with good overall balance. Nice head with dark points. Good bite. Good forechest. Good angulation. Moved very well.
2. Dolan’s Glenrood Black Diamond. Red grey brindle puppy of similar nice type. Good bite. Moved well but preferred tail set of 1.
3. Waugh’s Tribannon Arabella.
JB (8, 2a)
1. Firth & Jones’ Cairngold Chicory. Well balanced grey brindle bitch. Good head and expression. Good angulation. Bit of a handful but moved well when settled.
2. Stephenson’s Twohoots Agnes. Nice wheaten bitch with dark points. Lovely head. Good angulation and level topline. Moved well.
3. Osborn’s Tweslam Bonne Annee.
MB (6, 2a)
1. Saich’s Lindcoly I Love To Boogie. Dark red brindle bitch with good coat. Nice head and expression. Would prefer more forechest. Level back on the move. Good angulation.
2. Parker-Tucker’s Uniquecottage Silver Trace. Wheaten bitch. It was not her day. Movement unsteady and therefore hard to judge. Finally okay when settled.
3. Brown’s Bencana Tickle Pink.
NB (4, 2a)
1. Dolan’s Glenrood Almondine. Nicely balanced red grey brindle bitch. Good head and expression. Good front and forechest. Good bite. Moved well. BPB.
2. Peers’ Tweedisle Sweet Encounter. Wheaten bitch with lovely head and dark points. Quite nice on the table but did not want to move.
PGB (11, 4a)
1. Oldale’s Cranae New Dawn. Red bitch of excellent confirmation. Not exaggerated in every aspect. Very well balanced. Nice head and expression with dark points. Good stop. Clean neck and shoulders. Good front and forechest. Level topline. Good angulation and tail set. Moved effortlessly; front and back. RBIS & BOS.
2. Hooton’s Penticharm Caribean Queen. Nice wheaten bitch. Good skull and stop. Good bite. Nice coat. Good balance. Moved well; parallel behind but needs to settle in front.
3. Inett’s Carradine Magic Star.
LB (6, 3a)
1. Thomas’ Tycadno Wishing On A Star. Nicely balanced typical grey brindle bitch. Nice head with dark points. Good bite. Well balanced. Lovely temperament. Moved with stride.
2. Osborn’s Tweslam Kalamazoo. Dark red brindle bitch of good size. Nice head and expression. Dark points. Balanced and not exaggerated. Kept level back on the move.
3. Brown’s Bencana Royal Sovereign.
OB (6, 1a)
1. Ward’s Vanajam Hokcus Pokcus. Nice wheaten bitch. Nice head and alert expression. Good bite and stop. Good angulation. Straight front. Level topline and good tail set. Moved well.
2. Osborn’s Tweslam Izzy Wizzy Get Bizzy. Red bitch with nice head and expression. Good stop. Good bite. Balanced angulation. Moved freely but, today, looked a bit shorter in back than 1.
3. Short’s Glenchess Little Black Number.
SBB (3, 1a)
1. Crane’s Mimora Galaxy. Balanced red brindle bitch. Good head and expression. Nice eye colour. Nice mover.
2. Ough’s Ocedar Look At Me. Slightly smaller than 1. Nice harsh coat. Hardy condition. Moved well.
Reinier Goud
After searching through her dog stuff from the show Gill Ward she can’t find her catalogue or her blue pen which had the words “Dog House” and her address printed on the barrel. Can anyone who attended the show have a search through their belongings to check that they haven’t picked up the items by mistake.
