A warm thank you for inviting me to judge your cairns. It is a big honour. I am glad that there were so many of you in the Open Show held April, 13th in Peopleton. I bought my first cairn in 1980 (Its sire was Uniquecottage Red Laird). He became top cairn in Finland. Now, 27 years later, I was honoured to have Judy in the ring. It feels like a circle has closed.
In my view, the quality of your cairns varied. However, most cairns were typical and shown in good coat; they moved well and had a attractive heads and expressions. Only one cairn had an incorrect bite and one had too light eyes. Most striking were the lovely small ears most of your cairns had. They are extremely beautiful, much too infrequently seen in Nordic and other European countries. Thank you to my skillful ring stewards and the members of the committee for the hospitality and friendliness I received

Veteran Dog or Bitch
1. Glenrood Magic Pipit . Lovely balanced veteran with an attractive expression. Good head, neat small ears, good bite. A little bit wide in front. Moves soundly with parallel movements. Good overall balance.
2. Kinkim Orin Printas. Very big dog. Good proportions. Good neck and topline. Good harsh coat. Movements could be better in the rear. Good showman.
Minor Puppy Dog
1. Uniquecottage Gold Barra. A wonderful puppy. Super head. Alert. Excellent topline, well angulated in front and rear. Moves a little bit narrow in front, rear ok. Coat could be a little bit harsher. A puppy who really has real cairn type. I fell in love with this puppy.
Puppy Dog
1. Uniquecottage Gold Barra. See above.
2. Spawyche Elizabethan Onyx. Excellent puppy with a lovely head. Good neck and topline. Good straight front legs. Could have more forechest. Excellent harsh coat and presentation. Movements a little bit narrow behind.

2. Glenrood Stormkeeper At Liffycairn. Nicely balanced dog. Head could be more masculine. Could have more bones. Moves soundly with parallel movements in rear, loosen in front. Good showman, well shown.
Limited Dog
1. Glenchess All In The Stars. Lovely, masculine, grey dog. Beautiful head and expression. Lovely neat ears and dark eyes. Excellent front. Good neck, topline, tailset. Good bones, good ribcage. Good harsh coat in very good show condition. Moves really soundly.

Special Beginners Dog
Minor Puppy Bitch
1. Glenchess Bombshell. Still very baby yet big in size. Nice head but the ears are still very soft. Good proportions. Good bones, neck and topline. Needs time to mature. I hope she’ll not grow any more.
2.Seveek Field Of Dreams. Nice puppy but the bones and muzzle are light. Lovely head and feminine expression. Movements ok in rear, not good in front. Needs more time to mature.
Puppy Bitch
2. Carradine Between Friends. Nice type. Beautiful feminine expression. Looks a little long-bodied and low-legged to me. Moves from sides with good drive, front movement needs to improve. Good neck but topline could be better.
Junior Bitch
Maiden Bitch
2. Tweedisle Town Topper. Nice bitch who is too big for me. High-legged. Attractive feminine head. Small neat ears. A little bit wide ear placement. Could be more angulated and could have more spirit. Needs more coat. Shown well.
Novice Bitch
2. Beranburh Tigress. Nicely balanced bitch. Good expression but stop could be better. Good bones and proportions.Nice topline. Tailset a little bit low. Moves with good drive. Happy showgirl.
Post Graduate Bitch
Limited Bitch
2. Castleline Tiger Lily. Excellent bitch. Super head and lovely expression with which I fell in love. Good neck, topline and tailset. Good proportions. Good harsh coat in excellent show condition. Moves soundly behind and side but she turned her front legs in the move, which dropped her to second place in this class. A difficult decision for me. I really loved this bitch.
Open Bitch
2. Uniquecottage Speciosa. Well balanced nice bitch who could be more feminine. Good bones. Lovely neck and topline. Moves soundly when she wants. Well angulated.
