Cairn Terrier
Association
Open
Show, Peopleton, 15th April 2012
A well organised and well run Show
with the true Club atmosphere, w3hich seemed to be enjoyed and shared by all. A
thank you to my Ring Steward, Peter Owen who managed to couple this with his role
as Club Chairman.
Vet D/B (3.2) 1. Dolan’s Glenrood
Magic Pipit. 13 yr old bitch, but you would not know this from appearance and
attitude, as retaining playful and outgoing characteristics, good head with
well defined stop, liked neck and shoulders, not always holding topline on the
move, but good rear driving movement.
MPD (1.1) Abs.
PD (0)
JD (1) Roberts’ Cannwood Cut
Above. Alone but worthy winner, one I
liked a lot, up to size but all male, keen and alerts expression coming from
good head and dark points, clean straight front, good reach of neck, well
bodied, coat in good order, moved parallel both ways. Res Best Dog.
MD (0)
ND (1) Kintin’s Tyreece Tricks at
Pennidazzle. Would prefer more strength of muzzle, nice size, in good coat but
not putting it all in when moving.
PGD (5.1) Inett’s Hydecastle Reg the
Rocket. Nicely presented, good head, neck and shoulders, level topline, in
super harsh coat, not always moving to best advantage. Best Dog. 2. Tutchings’
Tribannon Gypsy King at Crowneast. Coming together well, nice coat, still a
little playful on the move. 3. Keeves & Bennett’s Seveek Who Dares Wins.
LD (3) 1. Bateman’s Dandi Boy Spud.
Neat outline and appearance, although not always showing himself off to
advantage, liked overall balance, moved true. 2. Reeves’ Seveek Dare Devil.
Nice overall shape, but inbetween coats today. 3. Fyfe’s Andrum Hawkeye.
OD (1) 1. Warne’s Spirebrooke Dawn
Raider. Would have benefited by showing against another dog, good basic type,
nice head, good length of body, well ribbed.
MPB (8.4) 1. Shannon’s Brendarcy Bit
of a Bother. Nice overall shape and developing well for age, liked outgoing
attitude and alertness, should develop well. BP. 2. Tutching’s Crowneast
Midsomer Flory. Not as forward as 1, more furnishings with age will improve the
picture. 3. Peers’ Tweedisle Party Girl.
PB (2.1) 1. Peer’s Tweedisle Paper
Moon. 7 mths with lots of development to come, body coming on well, plenty
behind the tail, carried head and tail well on the move. Res BP.
JB (3) 1. Roberts’ Cannwood Continue
The Dream. Nicely made throughout, balance and femininity, Good head, eye and
ears, presenting good expression, well bodied with level topline, sound mover.
Res BB and Res BIS. 2. Shannon’s
Brendarcy Snedronningen. Another well balanced bitch, but unlucky to meet 1,
Good head, dark eye, good mouth, good length of back. 3. King & Leighton’s
Carradine I am Florence with Harkinleigh.
MB (0)
NB (3) 1. Ballinger’s Carradine
Minnie The Moocha. Nice size and shape, feminine appearance, neat well set and
carried ears, level topline, true movement. 2. Peers’ Tweedisle Sea Breeze. A
bit flat and not putting it all in, in heavy coat.
PGB (8) 1. Osborn’s Tweslam Winter
Magic. Dark brindle, good appearance, good head and expression, well balanced
and good proportions throughout, best mover in the class. 2. Moseley’s Spawyche
Elizabethan Dream. Attentive and keen, good body, well furnished tail. 3.
Inett, Harrison & Clayton’s Carradine Time To Shine.
LB (6.2) 1. Yates & Johnson’s
Pendley Playaway. Nice outline and overall shape, feminine head, good dark
points, in good coat. 2. Warne’s Cloverbrook Carousel at Spirebrooke. Very nice
type, would prefer to see better blend of coat between neck and body, strong
head. 3. Peers’ Tweedisle Sister Sarah.
OB (9.2) 1. Inett’s Carradine Come
on Irene. Typical from this Kennel, nice overall shape and best of
presentation, good head and shoulders, flowing into level back with well sprung
ribs, tail well set and carried, best of coats. BB and BIS. 2. Braybrook’s
Cloverbrook to Die For, Really nice type with lots of potential, I felt today
she was not in the best of coats. 3. Dolan’s Glenrood Warrior Princess.
SpBegB (6.1) 1. C Minnie The Moocha.
2. Byrne’s Little Miss Tonka. Larger
type than 1, in excellent coat, moved ok with good drive coming from well
muscled hindquarters. 3. Jones’ Strathinver Simply Florrie.
