I wish to thank the committee for their kind invitation to
judge their Spring Open Show, and the wonderful hospitality I received.
I enjoyed my day,
even though there were a couple of issues which made it testing at times.
Thanks to the stewards and especially nice to see a new face giving
stewarding a try, well done on a good job! Thanks also to the exhibitors for the wonderful entry, even
though some left me frustrated, especially when I was unable to ascertain if
they could move, which in turn affected my placing’s. Maybe for some dogs the
ring size made moving challenging? Shame that on such a lovely warm spring
day the show couldn’t have taken place out on the grass, where I am sure the
dogs would have been far happier.

CH Glenrood Magic Solitaire J.W –
Lovely to see this 11 ½ year old who was acting more like a 5 year old!
Lovely head and expression, correct length of neck, good lay of shoulder, still
strides out well, holds a level topline on the move. Can still see why she is
a champion.
2nd – Weinberger’s
CH Correnie Crazy for You -
Another champion but younger as only 7 ½ years old. Sweet head and
expression, with lovely dark eye. Nice length of neck, good length of
ribcage. Nice straight front, moves well.
3rd – Parkin’s

1st – Parker-Tucker’s
Uniquecottage Winsford – Suspect will take a while for this boy to
mature! Red Brindle, with an abundance of coat. Pleasing masculine head, good
stop and dentition. Length of neck good;
and pleasing angulations both at front and rear. When he settles, movement is
good, but can play his handler up!

1st –Inett
& Engebretsen’s Carradine
Dexter – Dark Brindle, with pleasing head, good stop and eye shape. Body
in proportion, but would like to see a touch more length of leg. Correct
ribcage and tail set. Good rear angulations gave him drive from rear. Awarded
BD
2nd –
Robert’s Cannwood Call of Duty – Larger than 1; wheaten Brindle who is
still immature. Masculine head with
lovely dark eye, and nice stop. Good length of neck, flows onto good lay of
shoulders. Would like more positive drive in rear on move.
3rd – Paige’s

Tribannon War Dance – Wheaten with
masculine head and expression, with correct bite. Correct neck sat on good
shoulders, straight front, level topline, and movement was good. Nice
tailset.
2nd –Shopland’s
Hjohoo’s a Kind Hjo Can’t Find on
Cherrycrack (IMP SWE) – another nice boy. Brindle, loved his outline,
Head and expression good, with neat ears. All in proportion, front movement
not as tight as I would like, but held a nice topline and the tail set
finished him nicely.
3rd – Day’s

1st – Parker-Tucker’s
Uniquecottage Raleigh – Brindle.
A more pleasing size than 2nd. Good neck, nice angulations to both shoulders and rear.
Movement good, rear with drive. Not the expression I look for.
2nd – Mears’
Glenmear Magee - Much larger than 1, with a masculine
head, nice length of neck placed onto
good shoulders, good length of loin,
tail well set. Would prefer
more space at rear on move, and didn’t have the drive 1.
3rd –Bateman

1st – Dolan’s
Glenrood Scheherazade – Wheaten,
whose pretty head has a good stop and sweet, cheeky expression, eyes of
correct, colour & shape. Good neck, good lay of shoulder, nice straight
front, correct rib, length of loin in proportion. Tail set good, moved very well
with correct space at rear, and held a level topline on the move. I will
enjoy watching her develop, can see a bright future. Happy to award BPIS.
2nd –Robert’s
Cannwood Special Moment – Another lovely puppy, more mature than 1. Good
head, with nice dark points. Could repeat most of what I said about 1st
place. Good angulations gave good rear drive on move, however front still a
little loose at the moment, compared with 1. Another one I will enjoy
watching develop.
3rd – Osborn’s

1st –Hughes
& Hooton’s Gyncairn Believe in Magic – Wheaten with dark points,
Immature head furnishings at the moment, but has correct stop and nice dark
eye. Good angulations, nice straight front, length of rib and loin in
proportion to height, had drive in rear.
2nd – Brenndarcy Tommelise – Like this girl,
but wouldn’t behave for her handler. Excellent head and cheeky expression,
good stop and eye of correct shape & colour. Length of neck & back
ok, shoulders and rear angulation good. Nice overall size. The abundant coat feels like it will soon be
on the change.
3rd – Tribannon on Tip Toes

1st – Dolan’s Glenrood Magic Spell –Dark Brindle, with good stop, correct eye
shape & colour and sweet expression. Good front and rear angulations
which showed in her movement also held her topline on the move. Very nicely
put together, and once she finishes maturing suspect she will have a very
bright future.
2nd – Carradine Secret Snowdrop –Wheaten nicely
proportioned, Head, expression & mouth good. Nice shoulders. Moved well, but not with the drive of 1.
3rd – Doonrae Million Dollar Baby

1st – Owen’s
Caldwall Carefree –Sweet head, with good stop, and nice dark eye. Good
length of neck, shoulder ok. Correct shape ribcage, and length of loin. Would
like a little more of her, but moved and showed well.
2nd – Coates’
Penticharm Starlight – Grey brindle, pretty head and expression, not
quite as balanced as 1, but more of her. Moved well.
3rd – Tweslam Mystery of Magic

It was a hard decision between the first two placings, as
there are good points in both.
1st – Hughes
& Hooton’s Penticharm Wishing on a Star – Cheeky expression, nice
stop and bite. Good length of neck. In proportion height to length, which
gave a lovely outline. Moved well.
2nd – Wragg’s
Cloverbrook Wot a Surprise. Brindle girl. Pretty head with strong muzzle, correct bite, good
stop. Angulations front and rear correct, held level topline on move, if I am
being fussy would like touch more length of loin.
3rd – Inett’s
Carradine Lady Lola
Open Bitch (9,5abs)
1st –Bateman
& Inett’s Carradine In Love with Amy –Pretty head and expression, with good stop, dark eye of lovely shape, and
correct dentition & bite. Good length of neck set on good lay of
shoulder. Ribcage, correct shape, and nice length of loin. Holds a level
topline on the move, tail well set. Good bend of stifle. Moves with drive,
straight front and space at the rear. Pleased to award Best Bitch & BIS.
2nd – Keeves’
Seveek Living the Dream JW ShCM – Red in shorter coat than 1 which gave
her a “leggy look”, but a lot to like about her. Correct angulations front and rear, good length of rib cage,
good tail set. Moved well.
3rd – Dolan’s
