CTA Open Show 9th April 2017

I would like to thanks the Officers and Committee for inviting me to judge their spring Open Show, I would also like to thank my stewards for their help making the day run smoothly, and thanks to the exhibitors for their entries. I enjoyed the day and had some lovely dogs to go over. There was however a lack of stop and forechest in some of them which is a must in our bred. I was very happy with my overall winning dogs and was a pleasure to go over them.

Class 1 – Veteran Dog/Bitch – 5 Entries – 1Absent 1st - Osborn's TWESLAM MAID BY MAGIC 8 year old bitch, well balanced with a good stop and forechest. Nice body with a good spring of rib. Good harsh coat and topline. Best Veteran. 2nd – Bateman & Sach's DANDI BOY SPUD Lovely head with a nice dark eye. Good topline and tail set. 3rd - Kinchin's . TYREECE’S TRICKS AT PENNIDAZZLE

Class 2 – Minor Puppy Dog – 2 Entries 1st – Peers’s TWEEDISLE LIVELY LAD Lovely head and expression, with defined stop. Good spring of rib, good bone and feet. Nice coat and tail set. 2nd – Parker-Tucker’s UNIQUECOTTAGE GREY BALM Gorgeous head. Lots to like about this one, a promising puppy just needs time to settle

Class 3 – Puppy Dog – 3 Entries – 1 Absent 1st – Day’s TREKHILLI PEPPERAZZI Beautiful head and expression with good stop, strong jaw, good neck and shoulders. Good forechest, strong feet and well muscled with a good spring of rib, topline and tail set. Excellent movement. Confident dog. Best Puppy Dog. 2nd – Owen’s CADWALL CALL TO ORDER Lovely boy with attractive head, good coat, nicely balanced and moved well.

Class 4 – Junior Dog – 1 Entry 1st – Owen’s CALDWELL ON CALL A very nice boy with a lovely expression, good neck and shoulders. Difficult to judge on the move as to bouncy but managed to settle at the end.

Class 5 – Novice Dog – 1 Entry 1st – Purvis’s MIGHTY REARRANGER WITH MOSSPUR Correct mouth and stop, with nice length of neck and shoulders. Good coat. Didn't show his best today and was a bit stiff on moving more due to an off day. Lovely expression when something caught his eye.

Class 6 – Post Graduate Dog – 6 Entries – 3 Absent 1st - Parker-Tucker’s UNIQUECOTTAGE SILVER ASKIN A lovely dog with his mind on other things. Typical head and good stop. Difficult to settle to go over. Good topline and tail set. 2nd – Peers’s TWEEDISLE TUGMAN Nice head, great coat, topline and tail set. Moved well. 3rd – Kinchin’s PENNIDAZZLE ALL SPRUCED UP

Class 7 – Open Dog – 6 Entries – 2 Absent 1st – Inett, Harrison, King & Leighton's CH. CARRADINE GEORGE FILES WITH HARKINLEIGH J.W A good strong dog of excellent quality. Outstanding masculine head. Great muscle and good bone. Never stopped showing Best Dog. Res BIS. . 2nd – Thompson’s CASTLELINE BARN DANCE Gorgeous head and expression with well defined stop and forechest. Good reach of neck onto good shoulders. Good spring of rib, level topline and correct tail set. Res. Best Dog. 3rd – Waugh’s TRIBUNS LICORICE COIN AT TRIBANN

Class 8 – Special Beginners Dog/Bitch – 3 Entries 1st - Purvis's MIGHTY REARRANGER WITH MOSSPUR 2nd – Davies’s CLOVERBROOK HARRIS TWEED Lovely dog with a good head and balance, move well.

Class 9 – Minor Puppy Bitch – 1 Entry – 1 Absent Class

10 – Puppy Bitch – 4 Entries – 2 Absent 1st – Dolan’s GLENROOD DANCE TO THE SPELL A good feminine head and expression. Good stop and forechest. Good neck and shoulders. Level topline and angulated hind quarters. Showed and moved well. 2nd - Peers's TWEEDISLE BONNIE LASSIE A pretty girl with a stop and forechest. Good topline. Moved well.

Class 11 Junior Bitch – 4 Entries – 3 Absent. 1st – Smith’s CANWOOD MISTY DAWN AT GETLEE Beautiful feminine head with dark points, she caught my eye the moment she walked in the ring. Good stop. Well make front, good forechest and well sprung rib, flowing neck onto correct shoulder placement. Well angulated front and back that showed off in her free flowing movement. Good coat and topline and tail set. A really lovely, lovely girl. BEST BITCH. BEST IN SHOW.

Class 12 – Novice Bitch – 3 Entries 1st – Dolan’s GLENROOD SPELL DANCE Beautiful head with a good stop, a well made front,forechest, neck and shoulders. Beautifully balanced and moved well. 2nd – Thompson’s CASTLELINE CALADONIAN LASS A very pretty girl with good stop and forechest. Good neck and shoulders. Level topline and correct tail set. Moved well. 3rd – McGrath & Inett’s CARRADINE TINKER BELL WITH OWENREAGH ( NAF TAF)

Class 13 – Post Graduate Bitch – 8 Entries – 4 Absent 1st – Parker-Tucker’s UNIQUECOTTAGE FENNEL A very nice girl with lovely head, eye and stop. Good front and feet, moved well front and back. Res. Best Bitch. 2nd – Clayton's CARRADINE HERE COMES DOLLY Smaller than 1st a nice girl with a lovely head, level topline. Moved well but didn't keep her tail up. 3rd - Osborn's GIMME GIMME MAGIC

Class 14 Open Bitch - 10 Entries – 5 Absent 1st - Dolan's GLENROOD SCHEHERAZADE A very feminine girl with a beautiful head and well placed ears. Good stop and eyes. Lovely front and forechest, good neck and shoulders placement. Well sprung ribs, good topline and angulated muscled hindquarters and correct tail set. 2nd – Keeve’s SEVEEK HOPE’S N’DREAMS J.W Sh.Ch. Very good head and expression, good stop, neck and topline. Strong feet. Fantastic harsh coat. Good angulation. Sound on the move. 3rd - Osborn's TWESLAM BORN TO BEWITCH
