Midland C.T.C. Cairn Day 2011
15th October 2011
Held at Hasland Village Hall, Hasland,
Derbyshire.
This years MCTC
Cairn Day was again very well supported by a good mixture of Pet & Show
Cairns,
making it yet
another very successful and enjoyable day.

|
As usual the day started with our trimmers Dawn Inett, Julie Petts, Alison Wragg &
Maud Hawkes, who gave practical trimming tips and advice
on grooming Cairns for both pet and show Cairn owners |
This was followed by
Monica & Brenda’s Fun Classes.
As last year Monica was the main
judge. (She’s stricter than me and stands no nonsense from Naughty Cairns or
owners!)
Class one – Musical Mats
Now called “whistle mats” (A
loud whistle is the only sound to be heard over noisy & excited Cairns)

to me!) After either a “wait” or
“stay” Command Cairns had to sit on a mat on a loose lead – if the stepped off they were eliminated. The Nail biting final |
“You lot might as well give up now – Cos
I’m staying put!” |
