Midland C.T.C. Cairn Day 2012
13th October 2012
Held at Hasland Village Hall, Hasland,
Derbyshire.
What a
brilliant turnout we had for 2012 MCTC Cairn Day! Both Pet & Show Cairns
and their owners joined in the fun,
making it yet
another very successful and enjoyable day.

|
The first hour of day was all about trimming,
tips and advice on grooming Cairns for both pet and show Cairn owners was
given by Dawn Inett,
Alison Wragg & Pat Clarke |
This was followed by
Monica & Brenda’s Fun Classes.
This year we had splashed out on some
lovely prizes –
Squeaky ducks –furry alligators, very
smart Tartan leads, a bespoke Rosette for the winner + every dog who took part
received a treat.
Class One Best Sausage Catcher -
Monica as usual took charge of throwing
the sausages to the expectant Cairns whilst Brenda gave out the treats to
those eliminated
The 2012 MCTC Sausage Catcher of the year was Henry.. Also last years
winner!!!! .
Handled by Sarah this year. But I think he better look out for next
year as it was a very close thing.
There are some young uns… who with a bit more training could take his
title next year!

Class 3 – Longest Stay -
Last years winner veteran Gemma lost
her title, although she came third.
It was a dead heat between young Lily with her handler Esther &
Josie with Veteran Holly.
Unfortunately there was a bit of
cheating in this class, Dawn Inett decided to put a ringer in the class.
After a stewards enquiry Monica
accidently kicked Dawn’s Oinky over and asked her to leave the ring!

final three Gemma –
