Midland
C.T.C. Cairn Day 2013
12th October 2013
Held at
Hasland Village Hall, Hasland, Derbyshire.
Another brilliant turnout for 2013
MCTC Cairn Day! Both Pet & Show Cairns and their owners joined in the fun,
Making it yet another very successful
and enjoyable day. Although Hasland Hall had undergone a refurbishment
Inside and out since last year, they
and still welcome our canine friends to use their lovely hall situated next to
a park.
A
slight change in format this year, after the welcome coffee and biscuits Alison
Wragg gave a trimming demonstration,
With
questions and answers from the audience as she expertly transformed a Cairn
into a potential Crufts winner!

This was
followed by - Cairn Day Fun Classes.
Chris Marshall ably assisted fun class organiser Brenda.
This year every class winner won a squeaky Hippo, runners up a rubber
hot dog or Burger toy. All
participants received
Doggy treats.
There was also a bespoke
Rosette for the winners.
Class One Best
Sausage Catcher
Chris took charge of throwing the sausages to the expectant Cairns
whilst Brenda gave treats to those eliminated.
This years contest was as hotly contested as ever! The last three looked like they couldn’t
miss.
Eventually we got down to two and decided on a tie before we ran out of
sausages!
