Critique
My thanks to the exhibitors for the wonderful entry. It was
both a pleasure and a privilege to judge the quality dogs here today. I was
impressed with type and the excellent temperament. My main concern was that
some otherwise quality exhibits had heads which although well furnished lacked
stop, which is an essential part of the correct Cairn Head structure.

1st: & (RDCC) Braybrook’s Cloverbrook Loaded Dice. This impressive
young dog fits the standard so well. Dark grey, style and presence combined
with correct type and character. Loved his head, correctly proportioned skull,
eyes full of mischief and excellent dentition. Shown in good coat and
condition. In strong competition for RCC, full of promise, I will watch his
progress with interest.

promising puppy, dark grey brindle. Well balanced, attractive head, good body

balanced and beautiful. This extrovert excels in breed type. Head, typical,
well proportioned, correct eye, neat ears good mouth. Correct body angulation
and bone. I liked her a lot.

OB (5 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: & BCC, Dolan’s Rossarden Glenmoira. Dark and delightful
feminine grey prepared and presented to best advantage. True to type and
fitting the standard so well. Really impressed on the table where I found her
forehand to be close to perfection, strong level back, good rib and hind
quarters. With this superb construction and muscle tone her movement, as I had
expected was a pleasure to watch, free and fluid with good extension to front
and drive from behind. With this construction, combined with attractive head
with that cheeky Cairn “ Yes I’m ready” expression it was a pleasure in very
strong competition to award her the C.C.
2nd: & RBCC, Jones’ Ch Penticharm Celtic Princess. Beautiful
wheaten brindle excels in breed type. Loved her head and expression. So well
constructed, lovely neck, good layback of shoulders, firm level topline, well
angulated hind quarters. Moved and showed with enthusiasm. A worthy champion.
