CAIRN TERIER ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW NOVEMBER 13th

The C.T.A. held its Championship Show at Winsford, Cheshire, thanks to the Committee for the warm welcome, thanks also to my excellent stewards, Ruth and Kelvin. 1 really enjoyed my day judging such a quality entry, thank you all very much. I did however find some less than perfect mouths which affected my placings on some occasions Although movement 'coming towards and going away' has improved I noticed on moving the dogs around the ring many were lacking real drive from behind. There were very few upright shoulders and heads were very pleasing

Vet. D or B (3. 1)

1, Jeffreys Sandaig Silent Wings. Very attractive 8 yr. old with lovely head and expression, well balanced with harsh coat. Moved well. 2. Fairweathers, Ock Enchanted Shadow. Another balanced 8yr old bitch, in good coat, pretty head, moving well on sound feet, just preferred spring of rib of 1.

MPD (3.1)

1 Felters & Rumens Landbuck LittleTyke. Extrovert red br., good angulation front and rear giving balanced outline, good feet on which he moved soundly. 2. Wests Junetta Victor. Attractive grey brindle, good head with cairny expression, neck and topline. Moved freely. 3. Weavers Cloverbrook Hedgehunter for Copleaze.

Lacking hair on his back legs which detracted from his otherwise good outline.

Typical head with wicked expression, good mouth and feet, moved smartly. 2. Smiths Rocasovale Good Luck Charm. Very mature, well proportioned br. Well angulated front and rear which was reflected in his driving movement. Just preferred overall size of 1. 3 Middlehursts Cannwood As If By Magic to Starveren
