CAIRN TERRIER REPORT

Saturday 18th June 2005

 

 

MPD - Entry 1

1st Mrs P Jeffrey - Sandaig Shearer – 7month old            wheaten brindle. Stood alone. Lovely head dark eye, good mouth. Moved well once he had settled. BP.

 

PD –No entries.

 

JD. Entry1

1st Messrs A & R A Felters & Rumens, Landbuck Little Tyke. 14 months old red brindle. Excellent confirmation, good head, correct eye & good mouth. Nice reach of neck, level top line and good tail set. Moved well. I gave serious consideration to awarding this dog. RCC but decided he is not quite mature enough.. Will surely do well in future.

 

ND 1 (A 1)

 

PGD. Entry 7 (Abs 1).

1st Mr & Mrs J Berecloth – Sybster Spring Time. Grey brindle with a dark mask. Good head with dark eye. Upstanding dog of pleasing confirmation and true terrier spirit. Good coat. RCC

2nd. Mr & Mrs C Chambers - Cairngrove Red Rascal. Similar in confirmation to 1st. A Red with a superb head, good top line and tail set. Very alert. Two excellent dogs.

3rd Mrs J Smith – Rocasovale Good Luck Charm.

 

LD. Ent 6 (Abs 1).

1st Mrs K L Evans Birselaw Billy the Kid of Kapplegill.

Grey Brindle of pleasing conformation. Excellent head with dark mask. Good top line and tail set. Profuse ,quality coat.

2nd       Mr & Mrs A Stephinson Twohoots Arthur. I have admired this dog from the ringside for some time. Red with dark points, good top line and tail set. Another with an excellent head. V.Heavy coat

3rd Mrs J G Parker-Tucker’s Uniquecottasge Chipmunk

 

OD. Ent 3.

1st.Mrs E B & Mr I L B Shaw’s Honeyhall Helluvaguy

Wheaten with v nice head and dark points & mask, Nice length of neck, good top line and tail set. Moved & showed well and fully deserved his win.  CC & BOB

2nd Mrs C Templeton Larchlea if Looks Could Kill. A dark Brindle of very pleasing conformation. Good head. Similar to 1 but a little longer in back. Two excellent dogs

3rd Mrs S Treglown  - Brenndarcy Danger Mouse.

 

 

MPB Ent 5 (Abs 2).

1st Mr & Mrs B E Mears  Glenmear Marcuelle.

Grey Brindle with nice head. Good topline & tailset. Rather overawed by the occasion. Move well when she settled.

2nd Mr & Mrs G S Peers – Tweedisle Solitare

Red brindle. Very similar to 1. Good conformation, top line & tail set.

3rd Mr & Mrs Dowling – Black Rod Bo Peep.

JB Ent 4 (Abs 1)

1st Mrs F S Cameron Styveling Meg Merrilies. Has a beautiful head. Dark points and mask. Good conformation. Good angulation. Quality coat.

2nd Miss Y Catto Birslaw It’s My Moment. Very similar to 1 but a size bigger with a longer back.. Just lost out on coat quality. Two excellent examples of the breed.

3rd. Miss J Watt Birselaw Starlet to Jancairn.

 

NB Ent 3. (Abs 1).

1st. Mr M & Mrs B Watts Sarachelle Billie Holliday Wheaten with good conformation. Won on showmanship.

2nd. .Mr & Mrs C J Butterfield. Camasmor Credence. A lovely sound wheaten who seemed to insist on doing what she wanted. Requires firm, sympathetic and encouraging handling.

 

PGB. Ent 7. (Abs 2).

1st. Mrs C Templeton Larchlea Remember Remember.`Dark Brindle with splendid head. Good length of neck. Level top and Good tail set. Good angulation. Moved well. Deserved winner.

2nd. Mrs J Smith –Rocasovale All That Jazz.

Another Brindle. Very similar colour to 1. Would have liked to see proper use of ears. Two very good examples of the breed which were outstanding in this class.

3rd. Miss Y Catto – Cairness’s Nordic Princess at Birselaw (Imp).

 

LB Ent 2.

1st. Miss Y Catto – Birselaw Special Moment. Red with dark points & mask. Would have liked to see longer neck but conformation good otherwise. Very sound. Very alert. Worthy winner of class.

2nd. Mrs I M Bratley. Amberhill Dancing Queen. Grey brindle. Showy. Sound on the move.

 

OB. Ent 5

By far the best quality class of the day. My 1st & 2nd well deserve the honours they have won at various shows.

1st. Mrs J G Parker-Tucker – Uniquecottage Glengettie. Red Brindle of superb quality and spirit. Good head and length of neck. Dark points & mask Excellent top line & tail set. Coat of good quality. Moved with drive and enthusiasm. A beautiful bitch. CC.

2nd. Mrs E B & Mr I L B Shaw – Ch Honeyhall Hijinx. .Brindle with lovely head. Good reach of neck. Level top and good tail set. Soundly built. Showed all out. RCC.

3rd. Mrs C Templeton – Larchlea Let Me Entertain U.
