DARLINGTON DOG SHOW SOCIETY

Held at Newby Hall, Near Ripon, North Yorkshire

A new venue for this show and whilst in lovely surroundings, the ground was very uneven making it difficult to assess movement and the weather was extremely unkind to.

 

CAIRN TERRIERS

 

Veteran Dog (0)

 

Minor Puppy Dog (2, 1 abs)

1.  Shannon & Storr’s BRENDARCY SUNDANCE KID, wheaten with desirable dark points.  Good length of neck into level top line.  Profuse harsh coat.  Needs to settle on the move. 

 

 

Puppy Dog (1, 0)

1.  Jeffrey’s SANDAIG SHEARER, brindle, masculine head, nicely balanced, good spring of rib.  Moved with drive.  Good texture coat just starting to come. Best Dog Puppy.

 

 

Junior Dog (6, 1 abs)

1.  Braybrook’s CLOVERBROOK PLAY THE GAME, striking wheaten with dark points.  Lovely head, wicked expression.  Good neck, shoulders and level topline.  New coat coming in.   Moved and showed well.

 

2.  Firth’s CAIRNGOLD COSMONAUT, red brindle, good head neck and shoulders, level topline.  Good turn of stifle, lost out to one on maturity, but another good mover.

 

3.  Felters & Rumens LANDBUCK LITTLE TYKE

 

 

Post Grad Dog (8, 3 abs)

1.  Poile’s KEDVAIY HARLEQUIN, lovely red with dark mask, nicely balanced, good neck and shoulders.  Good showman.

 

2.  Smith’s ROCASOVALE GOOD LUCK CHARM, grey brindle, slightly bigger than one.  Lovely head and expression.

 

3.  Chambers CAIRNGROVE RED RASCAL

 

 

 

Limit Dog (5, 2 abs)

1.  Berrecloth’s SYBSTER SPRING TIME, mature silver brindle dog.  One I liked as a puppy.  Lovely head and expression, nice length of neck, level topline.  Coat of good texture and length.  Good turn of stifle, drives well from the rear.  RDCC

 

2.      Dean’s HONEYHALL HAWICK OF ORIOR, brindle, similar type to one.

Good length of neck, moved well.

 

3.      Stephinson’s TWOHOOTS ARTHUR

 

 

 

Open Dog  (3, 0)

1.  Middlehurst’s Ch. Cannwood As If By Magic To Starveren JW, wheaten brindle, coat in excellent condition. Nicely balanced, good spring of rib level topline. Coped with the uneven ground well.  Moved and showed well.  DCC & BOB

 

2.      Templeton’s LARCHLEA IF LOOKS COULD KILL, grey brindle, larger than one.  Matured nicely since I last judged him.  Moved well

 

3.      Weinberger’s CORRENIE ALTISSIMO,

 

 

Veteran Bitch (1, 0)

1.  Bratley & Holmes AMBERHILL ANNIE,   Eleven year old grey brindle, enjoying her day out.  Best Veteran

 

 

Minor Puppy Bitch (1, 0)

1.  Firth’s CAIRNGOLD CHATANOOGA, dark brindle bitch.  Lovely head and mischevious expression.  Carrying profuse coat of good texture.   Movement difficult to assess as she was not cooperating with her handler today.

 

 

Puppy Bitch (4, 0)

1.  Osborn’s TWESLAM AMBER NECTAR, femine red bitch with lovely expression.  Good head, neck and front.  Level topline, good turn of stifle, moved well.    BP

 

2.                Felters & Rumens LANDBUCK MORE INTRIGUE, another femine bitch, lovely head and expression.  Good length of neck.  Moved well.  Needs new jacket to complete the picture.

 

3.      TURNBULL’s BEDRULE TALJA

 

 

 

Junior Bitch (4, 1 abs)

1.   Bristol’s CAMASMOR CAILIN FROM KENROSS, wheaten brindle, nicely balanced bitch.  Good front and drove from behind.  Showed well.

 

2.   Butterfield’s CAMASMOR CREDENCE, similar type to one. Lovely head and

expression, nicely balanced, movement true, but would like to see her moved a little quicker.

 

1.      Collinson’s AM I THE ONE AT CALECAIRN

 

 

Post Grad Bitch (14, 4 abs)

1.  Catto’s BIRSELAW IT’S MY MOMENT, Lovely head and expression, good neck, shoulders and topline.  Good turn of stifle moved and showed well.

 

2.      Braybrook’s CLOVERBROOK CAYOS, animated red bitch, wicked expression.

Good neck, sloping shoulders, nicely bodied.   Moved and showed well.  Close decision.

 

3.      Osborn’s TWESLAM KALAMAZOO

 

Limit Bitch (6, 2 abs)

1.  Braybrook’s CLOVERBROOK WOW, lovely wheaten bitch, good harsh coat coming in.  Good length of neck, level topline and good spring of rib.  Lovely showgirl..

 

2.  Jeffrey’s SANDAIG SUILEAN DUBH, femine brindle bitch.  Good head, neck and shoulders.  Good spring of rib.  Nicely balanced.  Carrying very heavy coat,  Moved well.

 

3.  Smith’s ROCASOVALE ALL THAT JAZZ

 

Open Bitch (5, 1 abs)

1.  Catto’s BIRSELAW SPECIAL MOMENT, red/wheaten bitch, beautiful head with wicked expression, excellent conformation. Good quality coat.  Moved with drive, excellent showgirl.  BCC

 

2.  Templeton’s LARCHLEA LET ME ENTERTAIN U, brindle bitch, good length of neck, good front, level topline.  Moved and showed well. RBCC

 

3.  Smee’s OUDENARDE BELLE AMOUR
