“Spot Brenda’s Petticoat Competition”

Morning of the show I couldn’t find my underskirt, we searched in, under, behind the beds and cupboards but no sign of it. So I got dressed to take Daz out and guess what he was sleeping on?   It must have been hanging out of my overnight bag and he’d pulled it through his crate!   Brenda

Cairn Terriers

I enjoyed my day – Temperaments were good but some Cairns were affected by the heat and not showing with their usual enthusiasm.

I had a few incorrect mouths & heads that are narrow, long muzzles and lacking stop.

A Cairn really free moving round the ring is a joy to see. My main winners excelled in this respect.

MPD (3)
1st: Poile’s Kedvaiy Masquerade. Red brindle who moved out well in good harsh coat. Good head & eye, he was well balanced with a good length of neck into a level topline.
2nd: Peers’ Tweedisle Trouble Maker. Up to size cream brindle. Moving freely, much to like, good head & length of neck into clean shoulders, hope he matures well.
3rd: Weinberger’s Correnie Mister Bojangles

PD (4)
1st: Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Spellbinder. Mature cream with a good masculine head, in correct coat, well made which reflected in his movement. Promising.
2nd: Parker-Tucker’s Uniquecottage Sooty Bear. Nice size gr/br. who moved out well in good full coat. Good neck & shoulders. Head needs to mature.
3rd: Lifton’s Glenrood Stormkeeper At Liffycairn Taf

 JD (6,1a)
1st: Thomas & Hooton’s Rasken's Romping Playboy (Imp) Very promising gr/br. In good coat & condition. Lovely head & expression. Good neck & clean shoulder, moved & showed well.
2nd: Peers’ Tweedisle Sweet Talking Guy. Rangy gr/br. Loved his outline, good length of neck into level topline, correct tailset, strode out well around the ring. One to watch.
3rd: Weaver’s Copseleaze Corn Cracker

PGD (5,1a)
1st: Poile’s Kedvaiy Harlequin. Up to size r/br. I really fell for this boy, rangy as yet, but with a lovely overall outline. Masculine head, good length of neck into clean shoulders, well boned legs. Moved well and showed all out RCC.
2nd:Hooton, Shorter & Nuttall’s Penticharm Prince Charming. Another nice boy with a lovely head & expression, really typy & well constructed which showed in his good movement. It was a close decision but Harllequin’s showmanship won the day.
3rd: Penticharm Black Jack

 LD (7,2a)

1st: Ehrenberg’s Carradine Master Tigger. R/br. That I liked very much as a puppy – good to see how well he’s turned out. Good head, neck & shoulders, loved his overall make & shape. In full coat, really moved out round the ring, not an easy one to handle – so well done. Pleased to awarded him his 3rd CC & BOB
2nd: Brown’s Cruzo Gold Charmer. Upstanding light red, masculine head, in good coat & condition. Well balanced fore & aft. Good legs & feet. Moved ok just lacked sparkle compared to one.
3rd: Fairweather’s Ock Ross I'm The Boss

OD (3,1a)
1st: Karlsen’s Nord Int Ch Kramer's Night Rider. Cream in good harsh coat. Nice head & neck really strong forehand. Liked his shape & balance, tail well set on. Really strode out around the ring & showed very steadily
2nd:Middlehurst’s Ch Cannwood As If By Magic To Starveren JW. Lovely gr/br, good to go over, put down to the minute. Liked his head, good neck & shoulder. Correct topline & tailset. Just lacked a little sparkle on the move today.

VD/B (2,1a)
1st: Short’s Ch Glenchess Night Owl. Dk gr/br. Bitch really enjoying her day out, in great coat & condition & showing us how a Cairn should move! Powered around the ring & showed herself off in the challenge – still deserves a second look.

MPB (4,1a)

1st: Weinberger’s Correnie Show Time. Cr/br, lovely baby in good coat who moved well when settled. Nice forehead, neck & shoulder, good overall balance & outline.
2nd: Confue’s Anjofra Tango Charlie. Typy red, well put down, liked her make & shape, good neck & shoulder, moved o.k. just needs to settle in topline.
3rd: Roberts’ Crianclaryn Cosmopolitan

PB (8,3a)
1st: Bradshaw’s Newfield Heather Magic. Shapely r/br, liked her outline, good neck, clean shoulder, level topline & well set tail, balance just right. Moved well & showed steadily, real little star!  Best Puppy.
2nd:Shannon, Storr, & Culliford’s Brenndarcy Be Bop Deluxe. Cream in need of a new jacket, but I liked her head & expression, overall construction good, nice length of neck, moved & showed well.
3rd: Parker-Tucker’s Uniquecottage Goldilocks

JB (10,2a)
1st: Thomas’ Tycadno Wishing On A Star. I really liked this gr/br. she moved & showed very well. Has a lovely head & expression, well presented in good coat, good front assembly, one to watch.
2nd: Roberts’ Cannwood Camilla. Typy gr/br, unfortunately feeling the heat today. Nice head & expression, lovely outline, well balanced bitch who moved out well, just lacked sparkle.
3rd: Catto’s Birselaw Now Is The Moment

PGB (16,2a) I was pleased with my line up in this class
1st: Hooton’s Penticharm Caribbean Queen.  Lovely cream who never stopped showing. Put down in good coat & condition. Liked her head & expression, good strong front. Moved very well.
2nd: Ward’s Vanajam Hokcus Pokcus. Cream, similar type to one & another who moved & showed all out – I was splitting hairs between them. Flowing outline, good neck into level topline, well set tail, lovely head & expression
3rd: Dolan’s Glenrood Mateus Rose

LB (13,2a)
1st: Catto’s Birselaw It's My Moment. R/br. Typical head & expression, good neck, clean shoulder, straight front, well balanced both ends. Good topline well carried on the move, which she did with verve, showy. Headed a good class to win R.C.C.
2nd:Osborn’s Tweslam Izzy Wizzy Get Bizzy. Striking red who never put a foot wrong. Good length of leg, strong hindquarters, well muscled which reflected in her movement. Kept her good topline & tailset. Very good head & expression. Close decision with one.
3rd: Kinton’s Woodthorpe Luck Be A Lady

OB (8,2a)
1st: Smee’s Oudenarde Belle Amour.Dk/gr/br., an old favorite of mine, so full of Joie de Vivre! She never stops showing, not an easy one to handle, moved really well when settled! She has a lovely head with wicked expression, good neck & shoulder, best of legs & feet. Pleased to award her the C.C.
2nd:Ward’s Vanajam Piewaket. Gr/br. In hard coat & condition. She has a typical head & impresses with her lovely outline, so full of quality. Moved & showed very steadily.
3rd: Parker-Tucker’s Ch Uniquecottage Glengettie
