REPORT OF CAIRN TERRIER JUDGING AT DARLINGTON CH, SHOW 14/9/07.
A nice entry to judge. I was concerned to find such a lot of poor heads in the lower classes - long forefaces, skulls were rather narrow. I found three incorrect mouths - my top winners "fitted the bill" to perfection.
Vet.Dog. (1) FIRST Wall's Ch. Shearwater Cae De Sonhas. 9 yr.old still in excellent condition- Strong and sprightly - can still show the youngsters correct movement and general appearance Was delighted that he went on to be Best Veteran Terrier at the Show.
M-P.D. (3) FIRST Butterfield(s Camasmor Can Do. Well put tog.7 mths. in good condition - excellent mouth good dark eye with a wicked expression - moved with confidence BEST PUPPY. SECOND: Berrecloth’s Sybster Screenplay, Very well constructed 7 mth. Youngster - full of promise - not quite so steady on the move as 1. THIRD Peers Tweedisle Guy Mannering
P.D. (1) FIRST Dolan & Inett’s Glenrood Ice Man. 10 mth. Wheaten a pleasing head and expression. Good dark eye wearing a good coat moved with confidence.
JUNIOR DOG (2) FIRST Smith’s Rocasovale Razzle Dazzle. Promising youngster, very pleasing movement, good front, correct topline good tailset excellent head and expression, covered the ground well. SECOND: Lynch’s Fieldron Call My Bluff Linacrelads. Quality youngster, correctly balanced, good bone structure, very keen expression, uses his ears to advantage, not so steady on the move as 1.
PGD.(5) 1 ab, FIRST Cameron’s Stryveling Robb Ruadh. Quality red of good size and type excellent head and expression, correct mouth - strong teeth - well angulated, correct front in good coat moved well. SECOND Catto’s Birselaw Daydream Believer. Along similar lines as 1 but not so steady on the move. third:Percy's Winetta Jimmy Mack,
LIMIT D.(8) l Ab. FIRST Inett & Harrison’s Glenchess Gabriel over Carradine. Well balanced male, strong head, pleasing length of neck, clean shoulders well muscled, good length of back, correct tail carriage. Coat of correct texture. Moved with great confidence. C.C & B.O.B.
SECOND: Grainger’s Devil in Disguise^ Well presented cairn in good condition. Very typical expression, pleasing length of leg and topline giving good overall balance. Coat in good order. RES.C.C.

OPEN D. (5) FIRST Hooton, Shorter & Nuttall's Penticharm Prince Charming. Presented in superb coat and condition, lovely neck, shoulders, legs and feet. Good head of true
Expression. Covered the ground well.
SECOND Middlehurst's Ch. Cannwood As If By Magic to Starveren Sound cairn of great quality. Well presented but, to-day, not so steady on the move as 1.
THIRD; Berrecloth's Ch. Sybster Spring Time.
MP.B. (4) lAb. FIRST Shaw's Honeyhall Hide'n Seek. Very smart 7 mth. youngster with delightful head and expression. Good body shape excellent turn of stifle, in good coat moved with confidence.
SECOND: Confue’s Anjofra Me Me Me 6 mth. presented in good coat, well put tog. good head and expression, top line and tailset, A close decision with 1.
THIRD Osborn’s Tweslam Scarlet Slippers.
P.B.(2) 1 Ab. FIRST Munday's Birselaw Firebird of Stradivarious 11 mth old in good coat, well put to. Good head and expression nicely set ears, good topline strong quarters. a promising youngster.
J.B. (5) FIRST Clarke's Conundrum Sweeten for me for Lentrica. Youngster of excellent quality. Lovely head, well set ears, good dark eye, correct length of neck flowing into level top line. good front and ribcage, moved with purpose.
SECOND Percy's Winetta 'A' You're Adorable, another promising one along similar lines to 1- Not so steady on the move.
THIRD: Waites’ Svendalens Lucky In Love.
P.G.B.(4) FIRST Osborn’s Tweslam Bonne Annee. Well put to. correct head, good dark eye, excellent mouth. Clean neck and shoulders, good front, Coat of correct texture. Moved freely around the ring.
SECOND: Bradshaw1s Newfield Heather Magic. Showy bitch with correct head and expression, good dark eye» Lovely length of neck, shoulders ok. Movement good.
THIRD; Warnes’ Spirebrooke Lady Jade Enraw,

Open B. 3 (l ab) FIRST SHAW’S Honeyhall Head Over Heels. Another excellent bitch from this kennel. So very typical has all the attributes, delightful head and expression, correct dark eye. Well set neat ears. Good level topline, well set tail. Correct in all departments. C.C. (her third I was later told),
SECOND: Inett’s Carradine Magic Star. Well put together bitch of excellent quality. Liked her head and expression, nice legs and feet. Good outline. Moved correctly.
