MIDLAND CAIRN TERRIER CLUB
BREED CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW
Held at Sharley Park Leisure Centre, Claycross, Chesterfield
On Saturday 1st December 2007
It was an honour to be invited to judge the MCTC Championship Show, my thanks go to the Committee for their hospitality and making me feel so welcome. A big thank you also to exhibitors for the wonderful entry of 154 Dogs making an entry of 177, it was a great privilege to handle so many quality exhibits and thanks to the Stewards that did a sterling job. I was pleased with the overall quality of the exhibits, in some classes I could have awarded a first prize to more than one, decisions were very close.
Veteran Dog or Bitch ( 7 years & over) (13, 5 abs)
1. Wall’s Ch. Shearwater Cae de Sonhas WW02, 9 year old dark brindle, strong masculine head, in super coat and condition, still moved with drive, certainly not looking his age. BV
2. Pearson’s Cloverbrook Corona Cracker Sh CM, 8 year old wheaten bitch, lovely head and expression, nicely bodied, moved well, enjoying her day out.
3. Dolan’s Glenrood Magic Pipit
Minor Puppy Dog (9, 2 abs)
1. Pollock’s Larchlea Time to Entertain at Stanedykes, six month silver grey brindle, good head with mischievous expression, nice length of neck into level topline. Well bodied with a good spring of rib. Gave his handler a hard time but moved well once he settled. BPD.
