I enjoyed my day’s judging, the last time I judged Cairns at the SKC was 21 yrs ago

Today the overall quality was quite good, but movement still leaves a lot to be desired especially front movement, some exhibits were straight in upper arm and some upright in shoulder

 

MINOR PUPPY DOG [2]

1/ MR&MRS J. A. BERRECLOTH -SYBSTER SCREENPLAY,6 Month old brindle with  a pleasing head nice eye good reach of neck harsh coat

2/ MRS D.E  PURVIS-MOSSPUR LICENSED TOTHRILL, Red another  6 month old nice head and expression good top line

 

JUNIOR DOG [3]

1/ MISS. Y. CATTO- BIRSELAW DAYDREAM BELIEVER, Red with an excellent   proportioned head good stop correct balance throughout shoulders well laid ,ribs well sprung correct bend of stifle tail on top shown in full coat of good texture moved ok behind, front movement not precise RCC

2/ MR&MRS C STEPHINSON - TWOHOOTS BARNABAS, Wheaten with an attractive head and expression good overall balance top line and tail set nice bend of stifle moved better behind than in front

3/ MISS J M SMITH  - STRATHINVIEW COUNTRY SQUIRE.

 

YEARLIN DOG [1]

1/ MRS J SMITH- ROCASOVALE RAZZLE DAZZEL, Brindle nice head with a good stop scissor bite with big teeth, level top line and tail set, well let down behind harsh jacket .

 

POST GRADUATE [2]

1/ MRS J, PERCY- JIMMY MACK, Brindle with a masculine head strong muzzle straight front , ribs well sprung good tail set and bend of stifle looked well in profile

movement precise and true

2/ MRS F,S,CAMERON,- STRYVELING ROBB RUADH, Red with a typical head and expression nice neck and shoulders good top line tail set strong quarters in good coat and condition moved well behind just preferred the overall balance of one

 

LIMIT DOG [4/1]

1/ MISS J,E, HOOTON,-PENTICHARM PARTY KNIGHT, Cream, Excellent type with good overall balance attractive head with an alert expression nice reach of neck shoulders well laid, good depth of brisket correct bend of stifle moved true both ways CC

2/ MISS B & D.SHANNON&STORR,-BRENNDARCY SPELLBINDER .Wheaten.

  Well proportioned head nice eye well placed ears good top line and tail set ribs well sprung strong quarters moved well behind in good coat and condition just preferred the  movement of one

3/ MRS . A.M WAITES –SEVEEK COUNTRY RAMBLER TO SVENDALENS

 

OPEN DOG [2]

1/ MISS J, E, & MRD,A, MR R, HOOTON SHORTER&NUTTALL,-PENTICHARM PRINCE CHARMING. Brindle. Good overall balance with a nice outline straight front shoulders well laid, hocks well let down in good coat and condition moved soundly both ways

2/ MR&MRS J, A. BERRECOTH,- CH SYBSTER SPRING TIME ShCM, Grey nice head and expression good top line and depth of chest good legs and feet harsh coat but not enough of it.

 

MINOR PUPPY BITCH [1]

1/ MRS L, F, HUGHES- GYNCAIRN TOUCH OF VELVET. Feminine  head nice eye, straight front and good reach of neck, top line and tail set.  Well angulated rear moved ok but does not want to grow any more BP

 

PUPPY BITCH [4]

1/MR A,& L,& MISS.A, M,&MRS G, FIRTH& JONES,- CAIRNGOLD AVIN A PADDY Grey brindle nice type with an attractive head well angulated shoulders and upper arm correct balance throughout in good coat and condition moved OK

2/ MISS Y, CATTO BIRSELAW JUST A MONENT. Feminine head straight front level top line nice bend of stifle harsh coat not as mature as one

3/ MR R, MUNDAY- BIRSELAW FIREBIRD OF STRADIVARIUS.

 

JUNIOR BITCH [7/2]

1/ P, A CLARKE – CONUNDRUM SWEETER FOR ME FOR LENTRICA Grey. Showy bitch with an appealing head straight front good neck and shoulders tail on top well let down behind full of confidence moved  straight but a little wide in front

2/ MR A,J, MRS C, STEPHINSON – TWOHOOTS AGNES. Wheaten. Good head top line, spring of rib coupling well let down hocks shown in full harsh coat, preferred the out line of one

3/ MRS E, B,& MRS I, L, SHAW – HONEYHALL HEADSTRONG.

1/MRS J, SMITH – ROCASOVALE IT’S UP TO YOU. Brindle.  Well proportioned head good stop ,top line and tail set nice reach of neck strong hindquarters harsh coat.

 

POST GRADUATE BITCH [3]

1/MRS C, MARSHALL – STRATHGARTEN KENMILFORE LADY MARMALADE Red nice type with a good head and expression correct balance  height to length full of confidence showed and well

2/ MR R, GOUD – BRINDLEOAK BUNDLE AND GO Wheaten pleasing head good top line and tail set nice bend of stifle harsh jacket preferred the overall balance of one

3/MRS D, E, PURVIS – MOSSPUR SOLITAIRE DOT.

 

LIMIT BITCH [7/1]

 1/ MRS J, PERCY – WINETTA WHO’S THAT GIRL, Brindle very stylish standing and on the move good head  nice reach of neck shoulders and upper arm well angulated, well sprung deep ribs, looked well in profile excellent front movement               well  presented RCC

2/ MRS F, S, CAMERON – STRYVELING MEG MERRILIES. Sound moving bitch with good overall balance , feminine head alert expression nice depth of brisket  strong hindquarters shown in full coat

3/ MISS B.&MR D. & MISS M. SHANNON & STORR & CULLIFORD.- BRENNDARCY BE BOP DELUXE.

 

OPEN BITCH [5/2]

1/ MISS J.E. HOOTON-PENTICHARM TIME TO PARTY .Quality brindle bitch with good overall balance first class head well placed ears, shoulders well laid , level top line, nice depth of brisket strong hindquarters  movement both free and  true. CC

2/MRS E.B. & MR ILB.SHAW- HONEYHALL HEAD OVER HEELS . Attractive well constructed wheaten with a feminine head and expression straight front good top line and tail set nice bend of stifle showed well.

3/MRS R. GOUD-WAUCHOPE- BEANOAK DRUNKEN LADY
