I know we are going through difficult time, but the overall lack of quality, especially in males, and the low number of entries must be a serious concern for the breed
MPD (4,1A)
1st: Downie & Tate’s Jaeva Face The Music Taf. Quality grey, 8 months, excellent type, in good coat, lovely head, good stop, clean shoulders, straight front, shade close behind, real showman and a good prospect. Well handled and presented.
2nd: Matthews’ Sharpamatt Prince Of Joy.
Sevenmonth
old wheaten lacking the confidence of 1. Well furnished masculine head, good
coat and presentation. Sound rearmovement,
good bend of stifle, needs to settle in front movement. 3rd: Peers’ Tweedisle
Stargazer
PD (3) Two nice youngsters –
1st: Thomas’ Tycadno Starman. 10 month old,
mature for age, wheaten with dark mask. Excellent showman, good head, masculine
all through, good topline and tailset, excellent presentation and quality coat,
moved with drive good straight front.
2nd: Inett & Harrison’s Noncom Inett Tu Winnit With Carradine. Liked
him for size, sound and moved well, wheaten with dark mask, good coat and
presentation, lost out on showmanship to 1.
3rd: Marshall’s Strathgarten Crackerjack
JD (2) Litter mates, 13 month old wheatens. –
1st: King & Leighton’s Carradine Night Listener At Harkinleigh. Very good type, in excellent coat, expressive head, plenty big enough for me. Sound mover, preferred him on presentation and showmanship.
2nd: King & Leighton’s Carradine May Be The
Moon At Harkinleigh. Liked him for size, same nice head as his brother, moved
well in both directions. Could have been tidier and not as confident as 1.
GD (1)
1st: Mara’s Tanteazle Tailor Cut. Dark grey, plenty big enough. Profuse wavy
coat, strong head, needed trimming, showed all out, ok in front, moving close
behind.
PGD (2,1A)
1st: Smee’s Malmay King Of The Road. Pleasing 13 month old, in excellent coat
and well presented, mature and finished for his age. Real showmam, excellent
head, liked his size, good neck and shoulders, sound topline, good balance, and
a very sound mover.
LD (5)
1st: Cameron’s Stryveling Robb Ruadh. R.C.C. Fits the standard so well.
Agile, alert and workmanlike. Red in excellent coat and presentation, very good
head, showed so well, ultra sound mover, straight front good reach, parallel
hocks, easy free flowing driving action.
2nd: Ward’s Vanajam Pop Idol. Liked him so much for type, excellent harsh cream
coat, lovely head good earset, dark eye. Sound mover and showed all out, for me
needed more belly coat to complete the picture.
3rd: Dolan & Inett’s Glenrood Ice Man Jw
OD (2)
1st: Hooton, Shorter & Nuttall’s Penticharm Prince Charming. C.C.
Mature and finished wheaten brindle, in lovely coat and presentation, looked
the part, excellent balance, head and outline, good topline and tailset, never
stopped showing and moved so well in both directions. Stood out in today’s male
entry. I gather this is the kennels 34th champion. My
congratulations.
2nd: Brown’s Cruzo Gold Charmer. 5 year old wheaten in good coat and
presentation, excellent type, very good head, good bend of stifle, moved well.
MPB (7,2A) Nice Class
1st: Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Button It. B.P. Quality,
impressive 7 month old wheaten, lovely coat, feminine, good balance, sound
mover gave her handler a hard time. Good steady mover, showed very well, a very
nice prospect.
2nd: Ward’s Vanajam Disco Diva. Aptly named, certainly personality plus, out
and out showgirl, lacking the maturity of 1. Excellent coat, lovely head and
sound, has all the essentials, just needs time.
3rd: Cameron’s Stryveling Seun Sealbhach
PB (5,1A)
1st: Burgin’s Noncom Miss Hat He Chewed. 10 month old very feminine grey, nice
type, in good coat, very good head, mature for age, good balance and sound on
the move, showed well.
2nd: Ward’s Vanajam Leading Lady. Litter mate to 2 in previous class, just
shade bigger than her sister, same remarks, sound, lovely harsh cream coat,
good head, clean neck and shoulders, moved well, just not maturity of 1
3rd: Powell’s Noncom Mad Madam Mimm At Rosenez
JB (3,2A)
1st: Soper’s Elitecharm Only Girl. Alone but deserved her placing, very
feminine, nice size wheaten with dark mask, coat could be harsher, dark eye,
good well carried ears, good bite, feminine expressive head. Good topline,
tailset, well sprung rib, and moved ok.
GB (2) Two very nice bitches.
1st: Shaw’s Honeyhall Hide'n Seek. Beautiful headed cream, just out of junior,
feminine sound, balanced in excellent coat showed all out, very sound mover,
good neck, clean shoulder sound topline, close up in the challenge, just needs
more maturity.
2nd: Dolan’s Glenrood Forever Popsy. Well balanced wheaten, just preferred the
head of 1, lovely size, feminine in excellent coat and presentation, sound
mover.
PGB (8,1A) Quality class of nice bitches, splitting hairs.
1st: Munday’s Birselaw Firebird Of Stradivarius Bitch C.C. + B.O.B..
Immediately appealed on the table and in no way disappointed on the move, Ultra
sound and totally feminine, balanced throughout. Good head and expression, dark mask cleanneck and shoulder, sound
topline, oozing breed type, free and powerful mover. Pleased to hear she was
shortlisted in a very strong group.
2nd: Weinberger’s Correnie Crazy For You. Quality wheaten brindle who certainly
looked the part, in excellent coat and presentation, same sire as 1. Another
excellent bitch, beautiful head, sound confident mover, who showed extremely
well. A very close decision.
3rd: Thompson’s Castleline Bonnie Jw
LB (9,2A) More lovely bitches.
1st: Firth & Jones’ Cairngold Avin A Paddy R.C.C. harsh dark grey,
utterly feminine, very clean outline, correct size, quality coat, good clean
neck and shoulder, good tailset. Easy free movement with plenty of drive, good
straight front. Showed all out and never put a foot wrong.
2nd: Robinson’s Cruzo Cinderella. Quality grey of excellent type, sound,
balanced throughout, in lovely coat and well presented, liked her very much and
a difficult decision.
3rd: Thompson’s Castleline Tiger Lily
OB (5)
1st: Shaw’s Honeyhall Headstrong. Quality dark grey of excellent type, liked
her and still appeals for size, type and her extrovert personality. An
excellent beautiful head, moved and showed well.
2nd: Lindborg & Nordstrand’s Su (U) Ch Rasken's Rich Grey Lark. Dark
grey, bigger cast bitch, but remains feminine. In lovely coat and presented to
perfection, moved well in both directions and showed well.
3rd: Harrison, Inett, & Clayton, Carradine Magic Star
