THREE COUNTIES CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW

11TH JUNE 2008

CAIRN TERRIERS

I would like to thank all of the exhibitors for their entry.  The weather was just right for the dogs, although the ring was very uneven and it was difficult to assess movement.

Movement is still a concern, back movement having improved in some dogs but to the detriment of front movement and vice versa.

I was pleased with my line up of both dogs and bitches.

Dog C.C. was Shoplands Cherrycrack Mack the Knife, Bitch C.C. and B.O.B. was Robinson’s Cruzo Cinderella. Both these dogs fit the standard well.

 MINOR PUPPY DOG (2)

1.   Marshall’s Strathgarten Crackerjack, 7 months light red, very confident for his age, correct mouth, straight front, correct tailset, moved and showed well.

2.   Peer’sTweedisle Krazy Koot, a 6 month very attractive wheaten with the desirable dark points, good head and expression, correct mouth with large teeth.  It was difficult to assess his movement as he gave his handler a very hard time.

PUPPY DOG(1)

1.   Peer’s Tweedisle Krazy Koot.

JUNIOR DOG(5)

1.   Rhead’s Copleaze Chesterwoodboy, a lovely red brindle, with an excellent head and expression, good stop and correct mouth, good length of neck flowing into clean shoulders, lovely outline when moving keeping his good topline.  Moved true both ways. Should go a long way.

2.   Pollock’s Larchlea License to Thrill at Standedykes, red brindle with a good outline, lovely straight front with clean shoulders. In between coats at present, moved and showed well.

3.   Moseley & Inett’s Spawyche Elizabethan Onyx.

POST GRADUATE DOG(6)(1 abs)

1.   Waugh’s Tribannon Warlord, dark grey brindle, good head and expression, straight front, correct layback of shoulders flowing into a level topline, good tailset, moved with plenty of drive, just didn’t put all in when in the challenge.

2.   Copley’s Cloverbrook Play The Game, wheaten with dark points, smaller than one but well balanced, excels in head, good level topline which he held when moving, just preferred the size of 1.

3.   Middlehurst’s Zalazar Un Zipped At Starveren.

LIMIT DOG(5) (1 abs)

1.   Cameron’s Stryveling Robb Ruadh, outstanding red that I have watched from the ringside and doesn’t disappoint on the table.  Attractive head with dark points of correct proportions, good eye and deep stop, correct mouth, clean shoulders into a good topline and correct tailset.  Moved true both ways, just did not put all in in the challenge, but pleased to award him Reserve Dog C.C.

2.   Granger’s Devil In Disguise, another red larger than 1, good mouth with large teeth and wide bite, nice strong head, good length of neck. Shown in excellent condition and beautifully groomed, moved well, just needs to mature a little more, but I am sure will do well.

3.   Fairweather’s Ock I Am The Boss.

OPEN DOG(3)(1abs)

1.   Shopland’s Cherrycrack Mack The Knife, dark grey brindle, an upstanding dog with a beautiful outline, attractive head, correct mouth, straight front with a good forechest, good length of neck flowing into clean shoulders, level topline and correct tailset.  Moved effortlessly around the ring and demanded attention. Pleased to award him the Dog C.C.

2.   Percy’s Winetta Jimmy Mack. Another grey brindle, beautiful head and expression, good deep stop, similar points apply as 1 although smaller. These two dogs could change places anytime.

MINOR PUPPY BITCH(8)(3 abs)

1.   Burgin’s Noncom Miss Hat She Chewed. 8 month wheaten brindle, beautifully balanced, excels in head, good dark eye and correct mouth, excellent shoulders with a good layback, good topline and tailset. Moved around the ring effortlessly with plenty of drive. A very confident showgirl for one so young. I will watch her progress with interest. Best Puppy.

2.   Bradshaw’s Newfield Dawn Spirit, very pretty red brindle, very similar to 1, beautifully balanced, good outline, excellent movement, these two puppies could change places another time.

3.   Felter’s & Rumen’s, Landbuck Jazz Hands.

PUPPY BITCH(4)(3abs)

1.   Jane’s Therhyse Olways Moanin, 11 months light red, a confident showgirl, good mouth, level topline.  Coat not at its best and would benefit from a little less weight.

JUNIOR BITCH(6)(1abs)

1.   Confue’s Anjofra Me Me Me, pretty headed bitch with a good expression and correct mouth, good length of neck, excellent movement both ways, good showgirl. Is maturing well.

2.   Felter’s & Rumen’s Landbuck Silver Muse, cream who is very similar in shape to 1. Good level topline and tailset, nice outline, showed well, unlucky to meet 1.

3.   Pettes’ Cairngold Gunning For Gold With Doonrae.

POST GRADUATE BITCH(12)(3 abs)

1.   Smee’s Malmay Sky’s The Limit, pretty headed grey brindle with correct proportions, straight front, good topline and nice tailset which gives her a good outline, excellent showgirl.

2.   Robinson’s Cruzo Bannock Belle, dark red brindle, smaller than 1, good outline with a beautiful head with a deep stop, level topline and excellent tailset, moved true both ways.

3.   Weinberger’s Correnie Crazy For You.

LIMIT BITCH(10)(2abs)

1.   Robinson’s Cruzo Cinderella, lovely silver grey, presented and handled well, good head and expression, good mouth, excellent length of neck flowing into good clean shoulders, level topline and tailset, well let down hocks, showed and moved well. Pleased to award her Bitch C. C. and B.O.B. Learnt that this is her 2nd C.C., hope her 3rd won’t be long as she is worthy of being a champion.

2.   Thompson’s Castleline Tiger Lily, wheaten brindle shown in a fuller coat than 1, pretty head with dark points, good length of neck flowing into good shoulders, moved true both back and front, Reserve Bitch C.C.

3.   Inett’s Curtisey Foreign Account With Carradine.

OPEN BITCH(3)(1abs)

1.   Osborn’s Tweslam Izzy Wizzy Get Bizzy, an upstanding bright red bitch, that I judged when she was a puppy and has matured well.  Good head, beautiful straight front, level topline, good length of leg, moved well, coat a little short at present.

2.   Burgin’s Curtisey Foreign Affair At Carradine, dark grey brindle, smaller than but with a lovely outline, good length of neck and excellent layback of shoulders, coat of a good texture, moved effortlessly around the ring.
