                                                                                              Cairn Terriers                                                                                     Judge;   Ian Kettle

It was a pleasure and honour to judge these exhibits, saying that, many exhibits lacked the correct dentition and were penalised. I found many level bites which are useless in a working terrier (Fit for purpose) and again penalised, many had no muscle tone whatsoever, lack of excercise and poor diet contribute to this deficiency. Weather resistant coats are also a concern, some were between coats, that is fine but some had no undercoat. that of short , soft and close.

MPD (5,2) 1. Keeves’. Seveek Dare Devil. Red Brindle, very promising baby, good mouth with correct bite, correct ear carriage, good length of neck, level topline, correct textured coat, moved with drive.

2. Shannon & Storr’s . Brenndarcy Trouble At Mill. Wheaten Brindle, pleasing head, good neck and shoulders which will tighten with maturity, level topline, nicely bodied, moved well.
