MIDLAND COUNTIES CH SHOW 2009

A lovely entry, although for obvious reasons I found it sad that there were not many puppies. Movement always seems to be an issue, this can be a reflection of construction & general type. All things that cannot be rectified overnight.

Temperaments were excellent throughout. I found a few mouths that were not quite the true scissor bite. I was pleased with my overall line-ups.

MPD (0).

PD (2) 1 Soper’s Elitecharm Dream Boy, most harsh coated cream pup of 11 months, in good order, well grown & all in proportion, most pleasing dark head, nice shaped eye, moved soundly, showed very well; 2 Weinberger’s Correnie Tornado, 10 months gr/br, attractive head, finely balanced, nice length of leg & level back. Will need a lot of time to mature. Moved freely.

JD (10) 1 Warne’s Spirebrook Dawn Raider, most attractive silver/gr, beautiful shaped head & expression, harsh coat, presented well, overall of nice size, firm body, well constructed hindquarters, very steady movement. RCC; 2 Mear’s Glenmear Marauder, very lively dark grey, full of fun, most mischievous expression, nice reach of neck, well placed shoulders, level topline, free mover, a young dog who I think will improve greatly with time; 3 Saich’s Lindcoly Enterprise.

PGD (5,1a) 1 Felters & Runen’s Landbuck Colour Code, strong looking harsh coated cream in good order, built all in proportion, good reach of neck, well laid shoulders, nice length of leg, neat feet, showed very well & moved freely; 2 Saich’s New Adventure, most attractive & well built r/br, has an abundance of harsh coat, firm body, good bone. Needs a lot of coaxing to bring out the best of himself; 3 Kinchin’s Tyreeces Tricks.

LD (6) 1 Smith’s Rocasovale Razzle Dazzle, most attractive grey, lovely shaped head & expression, good neck & shoulders, level back, of nice size & overall length all in proportion, handles & showed well; 2 Soper’s Uniquecottage Ring Plover, well presented harsh coated dark grey, masculine head, good stop, firm body & hindquarters, neat feet, moves with drive & showed well; 3 Marshall’s Strathgarten Crackerjack.

OD (7,1) 1 Pollock’s Ch Larchlea Licence To Thrill at Stanedykes, in excellent order, coat of correct texture, lovely head, nice eyes & large white teeth, good firm body, nice spring of ribs, level topline, well constructed hindquarters, moved with real drive, showed all out, real masculine quality dog who thoroughly deserved his win. CC; 2 Middlehurst’s Zalazar Un Zipped at Starveren, harsh texture red whose coat is kept short, well shaped head & expression, good neck & shoulders, level topline. To be very critical would prefer fraction longer in back. Very steady mover, never stopped showing; 3 Saich’s Kiataia Masquerade.

MPB (3,1) 1 Pett’s Doonrae Joie De Vivre, most promising & attractive 8 months r/br, good head & dark points, liked her neck & shoulders, good overall length, all in proportion, very smart, moved soundly; 2 Chambers & Exton’s Cairngrove Kinky Boots, most adorable harsh coated cream of just 6 months, excellent temperament, full of confidence & moved very freely, has plenty of time to grow.

PB (6) 1 Osborn’s Tweslam Maid By Magic, 9 months, ultra smart red, most feminine head, nice eyes, liked her overall outline, level back & firm hindquarters, moved very freely. BP; 2 Peer’s Tweedisle Pillow Dream, 10 months, very young looking cream, nice reach of neck, well placed shoulders, has good length of leg, very sound free movement. Nice shaped head that will improve when furnishings grow; 3 Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Virginia Plain.

JB (8,2) 1 Templeton’s Larchlea Can’t Remember, ultra smart, very well presented harsh coated dark grey, typical feminine head, alert expression, good neck, shoulders, level topline, good tailset, moved very soundly, her time will come; 2 Owen’s Honeyhall Handful at Caldwall, just out of puppy, lovely r/br, good head, pleasing expression, liked her overall length & firm hindquarters, showed well with encouragement, in good order; 3 Waite’s Svendalens Crazy Diamond.

PGB (10) 1 Smee’s High Class Baby at Malmay, very attractive red with dark mask, liked her neck & well laid shoulders, level back, firm body, good front on standing, happy showgirl in good order, lots to like about her. RCC; 2 Bradshaw’s Newfield Dawn Spirit, red, very appealing expression, correct body size, liked her overall balance & general construction, moved well. Just preferred body & movement of 1; 3 Roberts’ Cannwood Danish Affair.

LB (8,2) 1 Felters & Rumen’s Landbuck Jazz Hands, ultra smart harsh coated cream, in good order, good head & expression, excellent topline & tailset, most free movement; 2 Robinson’s Cruzo Caitlin, attractive wh/gr/br, appealing expression & well shaped head, overall of nice type & size. Coat not so good as 1. Showed well; 3 Smee’s Malmay Sky’s The Limit.

OB (7,3) 1 Short’s Glenchess Cut The Mustard, immaculately presented red, caught my eye upon entering the ring, real pleasure to go over on the table, lovely head, true expression, well constructed, firm body, lovely front upon standing, soundest of movers, a real joy to watch. CC & BOB; 2 Confue’s Anjofra Me Me Me, well presented light red, nice feminine head, good neck, topline & tailset. Coat could be better. Showed & moved very well; 3 Fielder’s Miradorose Little Gem.
