Poor dog - suffering from 'Hands-on'

Sorry Bren - I didn't put it in the bag!

Yes! - we've come well prepared

They are late starting - it's 2 minutes past.

Important - must be - to struggle!

 I'm not a rogue - I'm with the CTC!

Come on - you've got to give a little!

I've got a sweet tooth!

Hiding the sugar - thinks no one will know

Hope the strapping is not too tight

It's my back - I can't move!

The Treasurer is a bit  lax with money!

Carole - Don't believe her!

Lord - give me the strength!

Take two! - I've kept a tin for myself

Cairn Terrier Association Ch Show Nov 6th 2010

I thoroughly enjoyed my day at what was an excellent run show in a new venue, a super entry with some difficult decisions, especially in the bitches having to be made, I was happy with the line ups but the gulf in quality between the sexes was quite evident, in saying that we do have some youngsters coming through of a good standard and that augers well for the future, I thought Junior, limit and open bitch classes very competitive and some places could change on another day, a big thank you to my two stewards who were on the ball at all times and like the cairns were of a friendly disposition.

MPD (5,3a)

1.Templeton’s Larchlea I Want To Break Free- brindle very much a baby. Nice type of head good mouth, level topline, tail on top. Lovely outgoing temperament. Hope he grows on and settles in movement.

2. Saich’s Lindcoly Red Adventure. - Rangy pup who was in good coat, moved well behind, very immature in head and not quite the showmanship of 1.

PD (5,2a)

  1. Braybrook’s Cloverbrook Codebreaker.- lots to like here, nice head and expression, good neck, topline and tailset. I don’t know if he was unsettled but I couldn’t get him to move properly, hopefully he will settle down.
  2. Keeves Seveek Who Dares Wins Lovely headed dog of a nice size, level topline, drives from behind but was rather erratic in front, shown in good coat.
  3. Currie’s Stirlingview Sensation

JD (5)

  1. Felters and Rumens’ Landbuck Tillisch – Not the biggest but is nicely balanced and can move very well with drive, nice head and expression, good depth and spring of rib. Level topline and tailset, needs time to mature and should do well, very promising.
  2. Thompson’s Castleline Bang On Time. - Another youngster who show promise very similar remarks apply here as Tillisch, not quite as positive in front but a nice type.
  3. Bambridge’s Carradine Crackaway Jack (taf)

ND (2,1a)

  1. Innet & HeiDecker – Hydecastle Reg The Rocket – Wheaten nice head and expression, moved ok front and aft. Loved his happy outgoing personality. Well presented.

GD (2,1a)

  1. Purvis’ Mosspur Licensed To Thrill- Lovely headed dog who showed in good coat of quality. Today he was moving rather wide in front, yet again full of personality.]

PGD (6,3a)

  1. Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Trouble At Mill - I was rather taken by this R/B Youngster, lovely head and expression, good neck & shoulders straight front, level topline, good tailset. Moved well behind with drive and looked the part moving around the ring. A little bit more maturity and should gain his title. RCC
  2. Inett’s Hydcastle Norman Nice type of dog, on his toes and a real showman, masculine in head with a good mouth. Not quite as positive in movement as 1,but still has lots to like.
  3. Kinchin’s Tyreeces Tricks At Pennidazzle

LD (11.3a ) Nice class

  1. Weinberger’s Larchlea Come Fly With Me To Correnie. – Upstanding brindle who was on top form, presents a balanced picture, very masculine head with super mouth, nice neck and shoulders, moves very well, shown in lovely coat and condition, pleased to award him DCC & BOS.
  2. Shopland’s Cherrycrack Blackadder – Very similar type to 1, not quite as mature or finished. Jus starting to fill his frame, but lots to like, moves very well with drive and again in good coat and lovely condition.
  3. Mears’ Glenmear Marauder

OD (3,1abs)

  1. Smth’s Ch. Rocasovale Razzle Dazzle – R/B with a lovely head & expression, very well put together. He can move when settled but would prefer to carry on. In good coat & condition. A Quality dog.
  2. Wards Ch Vanajam Pop Idol.  Another lovely dog with a super head and expression. Very showy nice balance. Moves with drive. Needs a new jacket and I would prefer a bit more width throughout.

SBD. 2

  1. Mosspur Licensed to Thrill
  2. Tyreeces Tricks at Pennydazzle.

V D/B (8,1a) lovely Class.

  1. Dolan’s Ch Glenrood Magic Solitaire. –What a lovely head and expression, very well balanced moved and showed like a youngster, I liked her a lot, full of personality/
  2. Ehrenbergs Ch Carradine Master Tigger – Another smashing dog on his toes. All male, super head, moves very well, Pity I only had one first prize here.
  3. Robinson’s Cruzo Bold Bretta

MPB  (10,2a)

  1. Mears Glenmear May Queen, very nice pup shows promise, nice head & expression, good neck and shoulders, level topline with good tailset. Moved well once settled, lovely outgoing personality.
  2. Clarke’s Cloverbrook Precious Gift at Lentrica. Again a lovely head & Expression, not as mature as 1 but with time and luck could turn out to be a nice bitch, lots of personality, promising.
  3. Culliford’s Brenndarcy Maid In Heaven

PB (6) Nice class

  1. Warne’s Cloverbrook Carousel. – Very much my type of cairn, super head, well balanced, moved very well and a good show girl. A bright future lies ahead if kept in good coat and is not allowed to get overweight. Delighted to make her \my \best Puppy.
  2. Inett & Harrison’s Carradine Time To Shine – Another smashing youngster very close up to Carousel, and I suspect they will change places throughout their careers. Just needs to settle in movement. Very promising.
  3. Weinberger’s Correnie I Do But I Don’t

JB (15,3a) Super class, all placed were quality.

  1. Cato’s Birselaw Any Dream Will Do. – I he final three fro the CC, A classy bitch with stunning head, well put together, but just has to fill out her frame and settle in front. I have no doubt we have a star of the future here, lovely.
  2. Dolan’s Glenrood Masquerade. – Another cracking youngster, splitting hairs with one who edged it slightly in head and was in better coat, but I think this young lady will give her owner a lot of fun in the ring, very promising.
  3. Felters & Rumens’ Landbuck Scrumptious

MB (4,1a)

1.      Saich’s Lindcoly golden Duchess. - Red baby nice type in head moved well and was in good coat & condition.

2.      Peers’ Tweedisle Tansy. – brindle just coming into coat, smaller type and not as confident as 1, nice temperament.

3.      Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Pocahontas.

NB ( )

  1. Shopland’s Cherrycrack Blue Moon. – I liked this bitch, nice head and expression. Moved well and was shown in good coat. Maturing well , nice type.
  2. Waugh’s Tribannon Dance To The Beat. – Lovely head and expression, again lots to like, moves well once settled. Some ring training would be an adavantage as she has obvious potential.
  3. Peers Tweedisle Fancyfree

UGB (2)

  1. Millers Cornton Reay - Brindle nice type, shown in a proper length of coat of good quality, nice head & expression. Moved and showed very well.
  2. Burgin’s Noncom Lucy Locket –Wheaten who wasn’t really in the mood today. Pity as she has a lot going for her, type, movement, temperament but lacked enthusiasm.

GB (6)

  1. Petts’ Doonrae Joie De Vivre – Very showy red/brindle, feminine head, good neck and shoulders, depth and spring of rib. Moved well coming into good. Well handled.
  2. Hooton’s Penticharm Over The Rainbow. – Nice type, slightly larger than one but feminine, in full coat, moves with purpose on good legs and feet, close up.
  3. Osborn’s Tweslam Winter Magic

PGB (9,5a)

  1. Yates’ Birselaw Only Make Believe To Pendley. Super head & expression, lots to like, would like her a shade longer in back for better balance, could lose some weight to advantage but has may virtues and moves true fore and aft.
  2. Dolan’s Glenrood Warrior Princess. – Brindle in super coat and condition, very feminine, not quiye the head of one. Looked nice in profile and showed very well.
  3. Osborn’s Tweslam Maid By Magic.

LB. (7,1a) Lovely class full of quality.

  1. Thomas’ Tycadno Starlet. Lovely head with a wicked expression, nice front, good neck & shoulders, level topline, tail on top, good depth & spring of rib. Moved with drive. I only wish she would use her ears more. Shown in full coat. Presented and moved as one with her handler RCC. & RBIS
  2. Harding’s Cannwood Remember Holly. Red with a nice head and expression, very well put together, and she moved true, not the maturity of Starlet but has time on her side and should get her title as there is very little wrong here.
  3. Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Button It Jw.

OB (9,2a)

  1. Robinson’s Cruzo Caitlin.- I cannot argue she is up to size, but she is all Cairn, a head and expression to die for. She is balanced, sound movement, in super body condition and presented in first class coat. On the day never put a foot  wrong. BCC & BOB
  2. Hughes and Hooton’s Gyncairn Royal Velvet at Penticharm. - Lovely type, feminine throughout, moves well on good legs and feet. Presented in a good coat of quality, handled to perfection.
  3. Shearsmith’s Cloverbrook Cream O’the Crop at Eborvale.

SBB (4)

  1. Bradshaw’s Newfield Dawn Spirit. I have studied this bitch for some time as she has always taken my eye for type and balance. She has so much going for her, but alas she is overweight and sluggish, such a pity as she has a real quality and of the type I love.
  2. Waites’ Svendalens Crazy Diamond. Another who could lose some weight to advantage, very showy with a good head and expression. Could be more positive in movement but typy.
  3. Byrne’s Little Miss Tonka
