Bath Championship Show 2011
Thank you to the Committee of Bath Championship show, for giving me this opportunity of judging Cairn's. I was disappointed to find three level bites and small teeth this is not what the standard asks for. I hear so much being said that Cairns must move well in profile going around the ring, and yes they should. But let’s not forget coming and going, this leaves a lot to be desired, with legs crossing over in front, moving too close behind with hooking in behind. These dogs were meant too work, with this movement many would struggle to do the job they were bred for. The best were in the higher classes. Most coats on the whole were good.
I would like to thank my Steward for his help keeping me on time, and for the hot cup of tea too keeping me going on this exceptional cold day for May.
MPD. (1,1st) Lamb & Saltmarch's Renshaw There And Back Again. Good bite, dark eye, neat ears. In full coat, Showed well, needs too settle in front on the move.
PD(2,2a)..
JD (1,).. 1st Keeve's Seveek Who Dare's Wins. Pleasing head good stop, could do with a better lay back of shoulder. Found him out at elbow making him wayward on the move, In good coat, needs too drop in Rib, showed well.
