Many
thanks for the entry, the Limit & Open classes in both sexes were strong
and separating them was quite difficult.
M/P/D
1st
FYFES ANDRUM HAWKEYE, a good coated wheaten youngster, masculine head, level
topline & correct tailset, good bend of stifle, moved well in profile once
settled.
2nd
NEWTONS STRATHINVER SPECIFICATION, not dissimilar from the winner, good overall
balance, did not have the head furnishings of 1.
3rd
BYRNE & INETTS CARRADINE BRIAN THE LION
P/D
1st
PEERS TWEEDISLE SEA SCOUT, a wheaten brindle one with dark points, has a
correct harsh coat but it was just going passed its best, typical dark eye,
good mouth, nice topline & tailset, moved well behind but needs tighten in
front.
J/D
1st
TEMPLETONS LARCHLEA I WANT TO BRAKE FREE, a dark brindle dog with lots of
quality, has a lovely head & expression, pleasing in outline, correct
front, good spring of rib, well presented harsh coat, moved well both ways,
showed to adavantage.
2nd
BRAYBROOKS CLOVERBROOK CODEBREAKER, an appealing wheaten brindle dog, liked his
outline, typical in head & expression, fair reach of neck, good shoulders,
not the showman of the winner.
3rd
SHORTS GLENCHESS GOPHER
P/G/D
1st
INETT & BAMBRIDGES CARRADINES CRACKAWAY JACK, masculine in outline &
stance, good harsh red brindle coat, liked his head & with an alert
expression, big spring of rib, strong quarters which he used on the move,
handled & showed well.
2nd
BRENNANS MILINDACK WHAT NEWS WATSON, a wheaten dog with a nice head &
expression, level topline and correct tailset, good quarters, unfortunately
just would not co-operate with his handler on the move.
3rd
DAVIES TWEEDISLE STARGAZER
L/D
1st
FELTERS & RUMENS LANDBUCK TILLISCH, a red quality dog in excellent coat and
condition, loved his head & expression, good front & feet, well made
body with balance, strong developed quarters, not always showing off his
virtues to the best advantage but did enough to win this class and eventually
the CC, moved freely & with drive, to be hyper critical, I would prefer a
touch more of him, however today he overcame some strong opposition and he
couldn’t be denied the top spot.
2nd
SHANNON & STORRS BRENNDARCY TROUBLE AT MILL, when entering the ring I
thought this dark brindle one would be my winner, impressive outline, has a
masculine head with a keen expression, beautiful in make & shape, he also
is a good moving dog, just lacked the condition of those placed above him but
given time I’m sure he’ll gain his title and trouble the best.
3rd
KING & LEIGHTONS CARRADINE NIGHT LISTENER AT HARKINLEIGH
O/D
1st
SHOPELANDS CHERRYCRACK BLACKADDER, a dark brindle dog that appealed for balance
& outline, good head & expression, fair reach of neck, well laid
shoulders, level topline & correct tailset, moved steadily, in good coat.
Reserve CC.
2nd
SMITHS CH ROCASOVALE RAZZLE DAZZLE, a masculine grey brindle dog with
substance, typical head with good overall balance & stance, has correct
double coat, moved well, although, at times a touch close behind, a close
decision.
3rd
WEINBERGERS LARCHLEA COME FLY WITH ME TO CORRENIE
G/C/D
1st
KEEVES SEVEEK WHO DARES WINS, a brindle dog with the correct coat texture, nice
in outline, good mouth, well placed ears, moved with drive, needs to tighten in
front, showed well.
2nd
PARKINS ROACHDEE MYSTERY OF THE FULL MOON, typical head, carrying too much
weight, which made him appear square in shape, well developed quarters.
M/P/B
1st
KINCHIN CARRADINE RUBY TUESDAY AT PENNIDAZZLE, an attractive wheaten bitch with
a good coat, obviously very much a baby and in need of more head furnishings,
well balanced and good in outline, sound mover.
P/B
1st
YATES & JOHNSONS PENDLEY PLAYAWAY, another wheaten one with the desired
dark points, very interesting future prospect, pleasing feminine head and
expression, good front & feet, nicely proportioned outline, liked her coat
& condition, moved & showed well for one so young, more mature &
finished than the others, Best Puppy
2nd
DAYS TREKHILLI BEANIE BABY, a well balanced red brindle youngster, who was most
appealing, nice head, level topline, made a pleasing picture when moving in
profile, not the coat of the winner.
3rd
PEERS TWEEDISLE SISTER SARAH
J/B
1st
INETT, HARRISON & CLAYTONS CARRADINE TIME TO SHINE, a smart dark brindle
bitch of good type & size, feminine in head & expression, typical
front, pleasing in body, moved with purpose, well presented, showed to
advantage.
2nd
WEINBERGERS CORRENIE I DO BUT I DON’T, another one with promise, she too has
all the essentials but lacked the verve of the winner.
3rd
WARNES CLOVERBROOK CAROUSEL AT SPIREBROOKE
P/G
/B
1st
FIRTHS CAIRNGOLD KIA, an attractive red brindle bitch, loved her keen alert
expression, feminine stance, good level topline with big spring of rib, strong
quarters, in lovely condition, moved freely once she decided to co-operate with
her handler.
2nd
ROBERTS CANNWOOD ONE MOMENT IN TIME, a wheaten bitch of good type & size,
nice head with a typical expression, I would like her to have a touch more neck
to give her better balance, correct level topline with a good tailset, moved
well.
3rd
BRENNANS MILINDACK MISS MARPLE
L/B
1st
HARDINGS CANNWOOD REMEMBER HOLLY, a well conditioned wheaten bitch, has a
lovely head with a feminine expression, excellent in body & outline, her
movement was true, front & back, showed extremely well for her handler to
overcome some stiff opposition, pleased to learn that it was her 3rd
CC, had plenty of ring presence & attitude to win Best of Breed.
2nd
OWENS HONEYHALL HANDFUL AT CALDWALL, a dark brindle one that also scores in
outline, good type & size, pleasing head with keen expression, moved well,
today she could match the winner in showmanship, but one that can never be over
looked
3rd
YATES & JOHNSONS BIRESLAW ONLY MAKE BELIEVE TO PENDLEY
O/B
1st
SHEARSMITHS CLOVERBROOK CREAM O’THE CROP AT EBORVALE,
a very shapely cream bitch, liked her
proportions & balance, typical head with a wicked expression, fair reach
of neck, well laid shoulders, good
topline & tailset, a free easy mover with good stride, it really was a case
of splitting hairs when challenging for the CC, Reserve CC.
2nd
SHORTS CH GLENCHESS CUT THE MUSTARD, a pleasure to judge this classy red bitch,
super outline with many admirable qualities, certainly not disgraced standing 2nd
to the winner or in this class, moved & showed well.
