Cairn Terriers

MPD (3)

1 Bateman & Gompels’ Carradine Terries Tipple, 8 months wheaten/br, very much a youngster but coming on well. Lovely expressive head, well furnished, correct bite, ideal body, balance & outline for age, showed well & with confidence;

2 Brown’s Bencana Cockney Rebel, 7 months dark gr/br, pleasing head, desired dark eye. A bit short on furnishings & needs to tighten up in front but has plenty of time. Similar body lines to 1, good showman;

3 Keeves’ Seveek Dare To Be Red.

PD (3)

1 Currie’s Stirlingview Stunning, very showy 9 months dark gr/br, liked his conformation, length & balanced outline, a nice picture in profile. Scores in head, eye & ear, nicely turned quarters. Promising;

2 Bradshaw & Shannon’s Newfield Harvest Moon over Brenndarcy, wheaten/br, promising head, well defined stop, correct eye placement. Needed more head furnishing to give a truer expression. Well angulated shoulders, nicely balanced body, in pleasing coat & condition. Preferred movement of 1;

3 Coffell’s Cloverbrook Crusader at Ometto.

JD (2) A.

PGD (3)

1 Bryne & Inett’s Carradine Brian The Lion, smart looking gr/br male exemplifying good type, well proportioned masculine head, dark expressive eyes, nicely constructed in body, correct angulation giving good overall balance, developing well in quarters, moved with drive, in good coat;

2 Lamb & Saltmarsh’s Renshaw There And Back Again, dark gr/br, good yearling male of nice type. Liked his head & expression, well laid shoulders, good topline & tailset, nicely angulated quarters, once settled fluent & sound in movement, showing well. Close decision;

3 Carter’s Carradine Alfie The Great at Carernwil.

LD (6)

1 Warne’s Spirebrooke Dawn Raider, dark gr/br, expressive head, neat ears & dark eye, nicely angulated to forehand, good conformation & balance, level topline, well made quarters, moved with a steady sound gait, shows very well;

2 Lamb & Saltmarsh’s Birselaw Fable, light gr/br, lovely masculine head that fits the Standard in detail, good body for depth & ribs, shows well enough. A touch too gay with tail at times. Preferred shoulder placement & movement of 1;

3 Lattimer’s Birselaw Sir Bobby.

OD (2)

1 Felters & Rumen’s Ch Landbuck Tillisch, red, in prime condition, beautiful well furnished masculine head & lovely true expression, neat well set ears, dark eye, correct length & width of muzzle, excellent neck & layback of shoulder, pleasing body shape & outline, correct tailset & well turned quarters, free agile & assertive movement. CC;

2 Braybrook’s Ch Cloverbrook’s Codebreaker, dark gr/br, quality male of correct type & size, lovely well furnished balanced head, nicely angulated to forehand, liked his height to length ratio, mature body, nicely ribbed with enough depth, shapely quarters, hocks well let down. Unfortunately did not fully cooperate with his handler on the move due to smells in the grass but nevertheless a worthy ch. RCC.

MPB (9)

Three lovely puppies.

1 Petts’ Doonrae Lexicon Of Love, 8 months eyecatching light gr/br puppy, progressing along the right lines. Ultra feminine throughout, really pleasing head & expression enhanced with a dark mask, lovely outline & general balance, moves really well, delightful show personality. BP;

2 Keeves’ Seveek Living The Dream, 6½ months light red, still very much a pup. Promising head. A little short of furnishing as yet. Ideal body, ribs & topline for age, should make into a nice one with maturity, quite a showgirl;

3 Melia’s Carradine Minnies Magic.

PB (2)

1 Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Bit Of Bother, 10½ months light grey, full of animation, lovely showgirl, completely feminine, appealing expression, sufficient body development with balance, all you would expect at this age. Preferred her rear movement to front;

2 Peers’ Tweedisle Paper Moon, almost 11 months, pretty feminine head & expression. I liked her overall make & shape but unfortunately she was upset by the noise of the loudspeaker which was quite loud. What a shame, promising youngster.

JB (3)

1 Shaw’s Honeyhall Hearsay, wheaten/br, most appealing head, true Cairn expression, good ear placement, dark eye & right amount of furnishings, good general outline, liked her shoulder placement, body shape & hindquarters, moved out with ease;

2 Inett, Harrison, King & Leighton’s Carradine I Am Florence with Harkinleigh, much the same age as 1, lovely feminine head, excels in neck & shoulder, body developing nicely, good length & enough depth of ribs, topline carried well on the move. Touch short of head furnishings.

PGB (7)

1 Kinton’s Woodthorpe Maybe This Thyme, gr/br of nice type, attractive feminine head, neat well set ears & dark eye, lovely true expression, excellent body lines, ribs nicely sprung, pleasing front & quarters, moves out well, a real showgirl;

2 Inett, Harrison & Clayton’s Carradine Time To Shine, showy dark gr/br, I liked her size & balance, lovely reach of neck, nicely constructed in body, clean in outline, good topline & tailset. Would have liked a little more head furnishings to complete the picture;

3 Berrecloth’s Sybster Sunday Best.

LB (4)

1 Cameron’s Stryveling Sweet Caroline, very assertive, conforms well to the Standard for type, lovely expressive head, nicely angulated to forehand, good legs & feet. I was impressed with her overall balanced outline, moved & showed well, level topline both standing & moving. Strong contender for RCC. Unfortunately coat not in best order;

2 Warne’s Cloverbrook Carousel at Spirebrooke, very feminine dark gr/br bitch, lovely temperament, exquisite head of correct proportions, nicely constructed, good rib, topline, length of body & tailset. Movement could have been a little more positive;

3 Kinton’s Woodthorpe Playin For Thyme.

OB (7)

1 Shaw’s Honeyhall High ‘N’ Dry, light wheaten/br, excellent type, scores in conformation & balance, beautiful well furnished feminine head, true proportions & desired expression, neat well placed ears, attractive dark shaded mask, sound quarters & hocks, good angulation, covered the ground well. CC & BOB. Well worthy of her crown, hope she doesn’t have to wait too long;

2 Inett’s Carradine Come On Irene, lovely example of the breed, mature dark gr/br of type, in first class coat & condition, attractive head, eyecatching expression, good depth & spring of rib, firmly muscled quarters, moved with drive. RCC;

3 Owen’s Honeyhall Handful at Caldwall.

VB (1)

1 Coffell’s Vanajam Dream Catcher at Ometto, wheaten, lovely balanced head, totally feminine throughout, good neck & mature body, correct tailset, nicely made quarters which she knows how to use. Moves with a fluent driving action, enjoying her day. Breeder Braybrook, good looking team of similar make & shape, all so very typy & with lovely temperaments.
