Thanks to the Chairman,
Officers and Committee of LKA for inviting me to judge, also my stewards for
their diligence, if the group steward was rushing them I was unaware of it.
We were second in the ring and it was
late before I was able to start judging. It was a late start thanks to the exhibitors for their patience,
and for the opportunity to judge their dogs. I considered there were several promising young dogs, the bitches are numerically stronger but today
quality in the dogs was on a par with the bitches. Movement was generally good, most were clean and just one
incorrect mouth. CC & BOB –

Snow Knight – Soundly made 8 month wheaten, lovely head and eye typical
expression, correct bite, very good bone, well constructed shoulders good
reach of neck, enough forechest
topline and tailset ok good tight feet moved well away and coming, well up to
size 2 Felters &Rumens Landbuck Bytheway A
real baby just 6 ½ months, nice eye and very good mouth, correct expression,
good forechest and clean neck and shoulders topline and tailset ok hard to
assess his movement. PD 1 1 Catto’s Birselaw The
Thrill Of It All - mature 10 months wheaten in full coat,
right for size, most appealing head, good eye and mouth, correct shoulders
good reach of neck, plenty of forechest, stands well forward on tight feet
moved well and never stopped showing RDCC & BP JD 2 1Shannon & Storr’s
Brendarcy Borgen - just into Junior,
light red in good coat, very typical head, nice eye and good mouth, plenty of
forechest, good neck and lay of shoulder, level topline and tailset ok, standing well forward on good tight feet
moved well. 2 Bateman & Gompels
Carradine Terry’s Tipple - very little between these two boys! Expressive head, correct bite, good neck
and shoulders, good forechest, tight feet level topline tailset ok bigger
than 1 but not too big, preferred movement of Borgen PGD 2 (1) 1 Bradshaw &
Shannon’s Newfield Harvest Moon Over Brendarcy - Typy workmanlike red in hard condition , lovely head , nice
eye, correct bite, plenty of bone, tight feet, standing well forward, good
neck and shoulders, topline and tailset ok good turn of stifle moved with plenty of drive, didn’t move as
well in the challenge LD 6(1) 1Roberts Cannwood Cut
Above – 2 y/o wheaten in good coat, expressive head, nice eye, correct bite,
big teeth, well laid shoulders, good forechest, level topline tailset ok,
moved well and put down to perfection 2 Thompson’s Castleline
Bang On Time – Red Brindle with correct head and expression, big teeth, good
neck and shoulders, moved soundly would like more of him. 3 Parker Tucker’s
Uniquecottage Rayleigh OD 5(1) 1 Inett & Bambridge’s
Ch Carradine Crackaway Jack – very
sound dark brindle put down to perfection, intense keen expression, moved
with drive never stopped showing, has real presence in the ring – didn’t put
a foot wrong CC 2 Felters & Rumens Ch Landbuck Tillisch
- a sound red dog with a wonderful
head and expression, so good for type moved soundly today he was not in the
mood! 3 Confues Anjofra I’m Not Going JW GCD 1 Lamb Saltmarsh’s Birselaw Fable Sh CM – Nicely presented
and moved well very sound dog, tail spoils him. MPB 6(2) 1 Confue’s Anjofra
Mymble - Confident nearly 9 month red
brindle, lovely head, correct eye, good bite big teeth, well developed
forechest, good neck and shoulders, level topline and tailset ok, good turn
of stifle, moved well, balanced 2 Downie’s Tycadno Dare To Dream although
slightly older than Mymble she didn’t have the same confidence, very pretty
head, nice eye, correct bite, good neck and shoulders level topline tailset
ok, developed forechest, moved
soundly coat needs attention. 3 Hacker’s Teddeanna Diamond Jubilee PB 1 1 Keeves Seveek Living
The Dream – clear red in very good coat, appealing expression, large teeth
correct bite, plenty of forechest, good neck set on clean shoulders, stands
well forward on tight feet, level topline tailset ok, good turn of stifle
moved soundly BPB JB 4(2) 1 Osborns Tweslam Thistle Be Magic – red
brindle in hard condition, expressive head, nice eye, good bite & big
teeth, soundly constructed and standing well foreward good forechest, level
topline and tailset ok needs to body up 2 Bateman & Inetts Carradine In Love
With Amy – very similar to 1, lovely head keen expression, good neck and
shoulders, standing correctly, good forechest, tight feet topline &
tailset ok didn’t move away as well as 1 PGB 10 (2) 1 Inett Harrison King & Leighton;s
Carradine I am Florence With Harkinleigh – she has inherited her Sire’s many
virtues, typy red brindle in hard condition , keen expression, correct bite
soundly constructed standing correctly good topline & tailset moved with
ease and drive 2 Shannon & Storr’s Brendarcy
Snedronningen – very showy light red, beautiful head, nice eye and correct
bite, good neck and shoulders plenty of forechest , topline and tailset ok
good bone and tight feet moved well, would prefer a shade bigger 3 Parker Tuckers
Uniquecottage Snowy Egret LB 9 (1) 1 Parker Tuckers Uniquecottage Sea Breeze –
dark brindle, classic expressive head, correct bite, good neck and shoulders,
developed forechest, level topline and tailset ok, moved soundly, nicely
balanced a lovely cairn BCC 2 Dolan’s Castleline Peggy Sue – very showy
light red with a new coat coming, good head with correct bite, neck and
shoulders good, enough forechest
level topline and tailset ok moved well RBCC 3 Hewitt’s Littleacorn
