Cairn Terriers

I felt privileged for the opportunity to go over the entry of Cairns. I was disappointed with the lower classes & just wondered where the next generation would be coming from. Heads are still a bit of a worry with some large round eyes & not much stop which does not give the right expression for a Cairn. Mouths on the whole were good, there were some small teeth & a couple that didn’t have the right scissor bite. Most of the coats were double coated & of good quality. Temperaments were good. I found in some cases it was difficult to see movement properly as some of the exhibits were preoccupied with something outside the ring, but what I did see I thought wasn’t as bad as the last time I judged.

MPD (2)

1 Waites’ Svendalens Snow Knight, 7 months wheaten/br, good head, correct mouth, good neck & shoulders, movement was OK;

2 Coffell’s Ometto I Am The One And Only, 7 months wheaten with dark points, good wide head, nice neck & shoulders, good turn of stifle, nicely balanced, moved OK.

PD (4)

1 Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Borgen, 10 months light red, good head with neat ears & dark eye, correct mouth, good front, level topline, in good coat;
