RICHMOND CHAMPIONSHIP
DOG SHOW – Saturday 8th September 2012 CAIRN TERRIERS (54,54) I would like to thank the Richmond Committee for their hospitality and
the exhibitors for their entries. This
was the last year for Cairn CCs at Richmond, sadly another Championship Show
that we have lost in the south. Temperaments were good. Movement
though was very mixed, some excelled with good drive but there were a few
loose fronts which may tighten with the appropriate exercise and a number
with close rear movement and lacking in drive. I was surprised to find
quite a few exhibits with narrow fronts and lacking in spring of rib. VD (1,0) 1. Grainger’s Ch. Devil In
Disguise, masculine seven year old red dog in excellent coat and
condition. Lovely head, good reach of
neck into level topline. Moved Well. MPD (4,0) 1. Waugh’s Tribannon War
Dance, smart cream dog with coat of good texture. Level topline into nice
tail set. Head furnishings still
coming. Good turn of stifle, moved well once settled . 2. Coffell’s Ometto I Am The
One And Only, similar type to one, cream with desirable dark points, lovely furnished
head. Nicely balanced, moved and
showed well. Only just six months,
today lost out to the first on maturity today, one to watch for the future. 3. Keeves Seveek Dare To Be
Red PD (4,1) 1. Currie’s Stirlingview
Stunning, red brindle dog, good length of neck into level topline which he
held well on the move. Good head of
correct proportions and lovely expression.
Good turn of stifle, well muscled and moved with drive. Pleased to
award him BPD & BP. 2. Bateman & Gompels Carradine
Terries Tipple, wheaten brindle, striking head, level topline, good turn of stifle, moved well, just preferred balance
of one. 3. Robinson’s Cuckmere Ma
Tickle JD (1,1) PGD (7,2) 1. Roberts Cannwood Cut
Above, smart cream with the desired dark points. Nicely balanced dog,
good spring of rib, level topline, well presented coat of correct texture,
moved well once settled. 2. Byrne & Inett’s Carradine
Brian The Lion, grey brindled dog, good front and nice spring of rib, moved
ok but preferred balance of one. 3. Lamb & Saltmarsh Renshaw
There And Back Again LD (5,0) 1. Confue’s Anjofra Im Not
Going JW, nicely presented dark brindle, lovely head and expression, good length
of neck into level topline. Decided
he wasn’t going to fully co-operate with his handler today which let him down
in the challenge. 2. Thompson’s Castleline
Bang On Time, red brindle, lovely masculine head with striking dark mask. Super coat of correct texture, moved
well. 3. Morley’s Kedvaiy
Locamotion OD (3,0) Three worthy champions, slightly
different types, each well balanced and each excelling in movement. 1. Braybrook’s Ch.
Cloverbrook Codebreaker, striking grey brindle well balanced dog who exudes breed type. Lovely head and expression, good length of
neck into level topline, good spring of rib.
Moved with drive and showed well.
Pleased to award him DCC & BOB.
2. Robinson’s Ch. Cruzo
Bilbo Baggins, smart cream dog with desirable dark points, not as masculine
in head as one. Good length of neck
flowing into level topline. Moved and showed well. RDCC 3. Felters & Rumens Ch.

In Love With Amy, lovely balanced wheaten brindle bitch with desirable dark
points. Lovely head and expression,

to complete picture. Only a matter of
time, one to watch. 2. Currie’s Stirlingview

decisions and places could change on another day. 1. Yates & Johnson Pendley

on another day could change places. 1. Dolan’s Ch. Glenrood

front, nice spring of rib. Level topline and good tail set. Nicely presented. Moved and showed well, pleased to award
her the BCC. 2. Harding’s Ch. Cannwood
Remember Holly JW, feminine cream bitch, lovely head and expression with
desirable dark points. Good reach of
neck and level topline. Good turn of
stifle, moved and showed well. Coat

little of her renowned sparkle today.
