Report from The Midland Cairn Terrier Club Championship Show
Sunday 1st September 2013

Judge: Mr Mats Lindborg, Sweden

I was delighted over being invited to judge this show in conjunction with the Cairn Terrier World Symposium and the fantastic entry of 144 cairns.

I was impressed because I did not see one light eye in all these cairns. Also I found the fronts very good and also mouths were generally good. Too many were lacking in body and several were lacking in stop. The best ones were at an international very high standard.

Minor puppy dog, 8, 2a

1. Carradine Dexter. Promising puppy with very good head, enough neck and excellent body. Still a bit loose in front. Lovely coat. Really good showman.
2. Stirlingview Superhero. Strong boy with a very nice head. Well angulated. Enough body. Moves well coming and going but could have some more drive. Good coat.

3. Marie´s Magic Moonraker.

Puppy dog, 4, 1a

1. Tycadno I Spy. Exc. type and size. Lovely expression, well set ears but could do with some more stop. Very good movement. Short in coat.
2. Tycadno Thriller at L´Artiste. Well up to size. Needs to develop in head. Exc. neck and body. Short in croup and lacking in drive. Very good coat.
3. Cloverbrook Top Of The Bill At Carenwil.

Junior dog, 4, 0a

1. Svendalens Snow Knight. Exc. type and size. Well balanced with good body and bone. Wished he had more stop. Well angulated and moves very

well. In very good coat condition. Good showman.

2. The Prince Of Tats And Tails. A bit heavy in bone but nicely shaped body.A bit proud of his tail. Moves okay. Exc. coat.

3. Glenmear Magee.

Novice dog, 3, 0a

1. Cloverbrook Top Of The Bill At Carenwil. On the heavier side. Nice head and expression. A bit gay tail. Just enough drive in movement. Good coat.

2. Franchaleal Itsallovernow At Kanawha. A smaller dog that could have been a bit more masculine. Nice head and expression. Good tailset and croup.

Could move with some more drive. Short in coat.

3. Cloverbrook Crusader At Ometto.

Graduate dog, 6, 2a

1. Cherrycrack Ludo at Trekhill. Well up to size. Very good head and expression. Exc. neck and shoulder. Good body, croup and tail. Well

angulated. Moves very well. Lovely coat and condition.

2. Carradine Terries Tipple. Well balanced with a nice head. Good neck and shoulder, topline and tailset. Could move with a bit more drive. Exc. coat and condition. Shows well.

3. Brenndarcy Borgen.

Post graduate dog, 4, 2a

1. Charmincairns Wild Bill Hickok. A smaller but well constructed dog. Movesfreely and with drive. Lovely head and expression. Good quality but short in

coat.

2. Cornton Coulter. Big dog with a good head. Wide in ears. Enough body, Needs more angulations. Could have better drive on the move. Good coat.

Limit dog, 12, 0a

1. Birselaw The Thrill Of It All. The best of type. Very well balanced. Exc, head and expression. Exc. neck, shoulder, topline and tailset. Moves correctly

and with drive. Coat in top condition. A very worthy CC and BOB-winner ! Made up as a Champion today. Congratulations !

2. Carradine Brian The Lion. A bigger dog. A shade long in body. Masculine head and expression. Exc. neck, topline and tailset. A bit loose in front but

otherwise a good mover. Very good coat and well presented.

3. Tribuns Earl Grey.

Open dog, 11, 0a

1. Ch Cloverbrook Codebreaker. Exc. in size and proportions. Very good head, neck and shoulder. Good tail. Enough body. Strong mover with a good

coat. RCC

2. Ch Carradine Night Listener At Harkinleigh. A bit long, but strong, in body. Well constructed with very good movements. A bit narrow in head. Exc.

coat.

3. Ch Miketos Spicy Black Eyed Peas.

Veteran Dog or Bitch, (7-10 inclusive), 11, 3a

1. Ch Devil In Disguise. A lovely veteran in best condition. Well balanced and well constructed. Very good mover with an exc. head. Super coat and condition.

2. Curtisey Foreign Account With Carradine. Bitch of a good size with a feminine head and expression. Good neck and shoulder. A bit low in tailset.

Easy mover. Good coat.

3. Malmay Sky´s The Limit.

Vintage Dog or Bitch, (11 & over), 5, 2a

1. Ch Cloverbrook Loaded Dice. 12 years in exc. condition. Exc. in type and size. Just enough substance. Still a good mover. Shows very well.

2. Glenrood Magic Pipit. 15 years old ! of a good size. Lovely head and expression. Moves really good for age.

3. Spawyche Elisabethan Pearl.

Minor Puppy Bitch, 6, 0a

1. Pendley It´s My Party. Lovely proportions. Very good body, bone and feet Well angulated. Moves and shows really good. B Puppy
2. Doonare Million Dollar Baby. Rather big for her age and needs to mature in body. Very good coat. Nice outlines. Ex. head and expression. Moves well.

3. Carradine Secret Snowdrop.

Puppy Bitch, 8, 1a

1. Stirlingview Peggy Sue. Up to size. Lacking in stop. Otherwise good head. Ex.neck, back and tailset. Moves freely. A bit soft in coat.

2. Tweslam Jazzing It Up At Calamondin. Good size. Lacking in bone. Ex expression. A bit low in tailset and tailcarriage. Needs a harsher coat. Moves freely enough.

3. Little Squire Allegra Nott.

Junior Bitch, 6, 2a

1. Tribuns Famous House Of Dagmar. Ex. type and size. Very good feminine head with a good stop. Enough body. Ex. neck, topline and tailset. Moves well. Good coat.
2. Malmay Sunshine Sally. Very good type. Still lacking in body. Lovely head and expression. Moves freely but needs to tighten up in front. Ex. coat.
3. Landbuck Xanthe.

Novice Bitch, 5, 0a

1. Carradine Lady Lola. Well matured for age. Very good head with a correct stop. Enough neck. Strong topline and tail carriage. Ex. body. A good mover.

2. Svendalens Memoire Cherie. Well up to size. Nice outline. Good neck. Could show her tail better. Moves well. A good coat.

3. Brenndarcy Bit Of Bother.

Graduate Bitch, 7, 2a

1. Vale Of Atholl´s Bessie McIntyre. Well bodied bitch with good proportions. Nice head and expression. Good neck and shoulder. A good croup and tailset. Moves well. Harsh coat.

2. Carradine Minnie The Moocha. A bitch in good condition. A bit short in coat today. Free mover with enough body. Good tail carriage.

3. Trekhilli Beanie Baby.

Post Graduate Bitch, 17, 4a

1. Pendley Hester. A real showgirl. Well balanced with a nice head and expression. Well constructed and moves very well. In ex. coat condition. A bit proud of her tail. Really liked this bitch. Delighted to award her the CC !

2. Seveek Living The Dream. Well up to size. Ex. head. Well bodied. Enough angulations. Moves well. A bit low in tailset. Ex. coat and condition.

3. Lentrica Sweet Sensation.

Limit Bitch, 14, 5a

1. Miketos Run For Success. Just a bit long in body. Very good head and expression. Ex. neck, shoulder. Carried her tail very well. Lovely coat. Moves very well. Well presented.

2. Carradine In Love With Amy. Ex type and size. Very good head, neck and strong back. A bit low in tail. Enough angulations. Moves with enough drive. Ex. coat.

3. Castleline Peggy Sue.

Open Bitch, 17, 2a

1. Ch Glenrood Masquerade. Well balanced bitch with a nice head and expression. Good body, bone and feet. Good angulations. Moves well. Ex. coat. RCC

2. Cloverbrook Xtra Factor. Very good type and size. Really nice head. A good body. Moves with drive. Could have a bit better coat today.
