SOUTHERN COUNTIES CANINE ASSOCIATION 2013

Cairn Terriers

Many Thanks to the exhibitors for giving me a very good entry and allowing me the pleasure to go over such a variety of Cairns! It was however a somewhat emotional day, because Fiona Cameron, who originally had been contracted to judge the show, had sadly passed away earlier in the year. Fiona worked hard and with great dedication for this, her beloved, breed. She was loved by so many and is very much missed. We did hold a minute of silence, remembering this truly lovely lady.

Sincere apologies for belated report, the reasons for which are too plentiful to explain here.

MPD (3;0)

2  Brennan’s Cloverbrook I Mean Business At Milindack.  Another promising puppy of good balance with nice head, good expression and correct earset. Presented in quality coat but did not move out quite as  well as 1.

Nice reach of neck into level back and good tailset and carriage.  Excellent angulations fore and aft, good bone and strong feet. Good depth and spring of rib and strong loin.  Excellent coat and condition and showed very well. CC; BOS.

1 Braybrook’s Cloverbrook Copyright.  This little girl is a real eye catcher, so on her toes and full of ‘look at me’. Loveliest head with correct bite, good stop, neat ears and dark eyes with cheeky expression .Very well balanced with excellent front, neck and topline plus correct tail. Presented in quality coat in best order and showed non-stop to full advantage. Should have a bright future. BPB; BPIB.

PB (2;0)

1  Smee’s Malmay Sunshine Sally.  Very dark little girl with such an appealing expression and feminine head. Still very much a baby, but well balanced and with a good outline. Nice harsh quality jacket well on way. Enjoyed showing both standing and moving.

2  Hacker’s Teddeana Diamond Jubilee. Smaller than 1 but well bodied. Wheaten coat of good quality and nice head with attractive, dark points. Not quite so steady on the move and happy in the show ring yet.

JB (4;1)

1  Felters & Rumens’ Landbuck Xanthe. This young bitch really ticks the boxes for me. Very much a case of the apple not falling far from the tree, because she is so like her Dam, who I also rated very highly in the past. Lovely, feminine head with good stop, correct bite, dark eyes with that wicked expression and neat, dark ears. Very well made throughout with great balance. Excellent angulations, nice reach of neck into level back over deep ribs and with super outline and tail. Well presented in excellent coat. Moved soundly and freely with drive and never stopped showing herself off to best advantage. Will watch her progress with interest. ResCC.

2  Keeves’ Seveek Living The Dream.  Another lovely, well balanced young bitch to watch for the future. Beautiful head and expression, nice flow of neck into level topline with correct tail. Good angulations for and aft. Very good jacket, showed so well and moved with drive.

3  Hewitt’s Littleacorn Aliye.

1  Dolan’s CH Glenrood Masquerade.  What a superb girl this is! Best of heads and eyes so full of expression. She is well made throughout and of great balance. Beautiful outline and in excellent condition. Very well presented with quality coat in best order. Never stopped showing and moved soundly with great confidence and style. A worthy winner of  CC and BOB.

2  Waugh & Carlton-Smith’s CH Tribannon Guardian Angel. This is another quality bitch with many attributes similar to those of 1.  These two bitches could easily change place on another day, but the winner did perform and move better today. Well balanced with beautiful head and expression. Excellent quarters, topline and condition. Well presented in good jacket.

3  Harrison’s Carradine Eva Either.
