Three Counties Cairn Terriers Thank you to all who
were sporting enough to enter under me and who braved the winter weather
dressed only for a really hot day which didn't arrive until after judging was
completed. Mpd (7,0a) A good class with some
lovely puppies, perhaps things are looking up. Close decision between first 2 who could change places another
day. Very showy brindle in very tight coat, small ears
used well, eye shape & colour good.
Correct topline and tailset, moved steadily & showed well 2nd: Currie's Stirlingview Superhero Smart wheaten with
dark points, nice type. All comments
for 1st apply to this exhibit. Won
over 3rd on coat. 3rd: Mears' Glenmear
Magee Wheaten in very
profuse coat which made him look a little short in neck. movement a little erratic at first but
moved soundly when settled. Jd (2,0a) Very well presented wheaten in good coat
of correct texture. Clean lines with
a decent length of neck, carried his head well. Head typical with a good dark eye for one so light. Alert and steady showman. Liked him a lot. Similar type
to winner but not so steady in movement.
Strong upstanding Cairn with an attractive male head. Dark brindle, a balanced Cairn, all
male. Good head, topline, front &
tailset. In profuse coat, moved
steadily and soundly. Smart wheaten who showed very well for his
handler. A balanced cairn but
slightly smaller overall than winner.
In good coat and condition, moved soundly with drive. Lovely type of Cairn, good size. Dark red brindle, very showy with typical
head & expression. Moved particularly well. 2nd: Lamb
& Saltmarsh's Renshaw There And Back Again Sh.Cm Stood and
showed very well for his handler. A
balanced dark grey brindle, a lovely strong male head but attractive with a
good deep stop and broad skull. Moved steadily. 3rd:
Goldfinch's Kanawha Whatathriller Grey brindle in hard condition and correct
coat. All male with a beautiful Cairn
head, correct eye & good mouth.
Well balanced, clean shoulders, level topline and correct tailset.
Strong hindquarters. Moved with drive. 2nd: Roberts'
Cannwood Cut Above - RCC Wheaten male with dark points. Smart and
well balanced, well muscled. Medium
throughout and sound. Very attentive
to handler, showed well, moved with drive. Two lovely Cairns in 1st and 2nd,
a close decision. Mpb (3,0a) Wheaten in
tight coat. A very smart pup who showed particularly well for one so
young. Feminine throughout with a
lovely flow of neck, she moved very soundly indeed, both front and rear. Wheaten with
dark points and a lovely head. In very profuse coat.
Difficult to assess movement, needs some training on the move! Dark brindle
pup, full of mischief. Natural show
stance. Balanced with an attractive
head, medium length of neck and level
topline. Alert showgirl and moved
steadily. 2nd: 1237
Smith's Gethlee Star Appeal Nice headed pup with good expression.
Correct front, neck and shoulders.
Not in as good coat as winner and not so steady on the move. Ultra smart light red, very, very
showy. So attentive to handler.
Feminine head and expression, nicely made throughout, well balanced. Good coat of correct texture. One to watch for the future. Wheaten
brindle with a gorgeous head. She has
a lovely dark muzzle which adds so much to her expression. Good length of neck into a level topline
which she kept on the move. Correct
tailset. Another excellent showgirl,
moved steadily. Brindle in
profuse coat, level topline, good tailset.
Preferred length of back of winner.
Moved soundly in front and with drive in rear. 3rd: Osborn's
Tweslam Thistle Be Magic Red brindle
with a most atttractive head, dark eye, nice expression. Nice size, sound throughout, level
topline. Correct texture coat. Moved OK 2nd: Carter’s Brenndarcy Dizzie Lizzie At
Carernwil Wheaten of nice type. Lovely head and expresssion. Nicely made throughout with level back and
strong hindquarters. Lost out to
winner on coat, new jacket just coming through. Dark brindle with an absolutely lovely
head, one of the best about. Good
length of neck, level topline, kept on the move. Straight front, good bone. Tail bang on top. She moved around
the ring as though she owned it with a lovely free flowing stride, going
soundly both ways. Very attentive to handler. Brindle, well
balanced and bodied. Attractive head
with lovely Cairn expression. Nice length of neck flowing into clean
shoulders. Strong in rear. Unlucky to
meet winner in such excellent coat. Moved with drive from rear, alert showgirl.
