Border Union Championship Show 15 June 2014 CAIRN TERRIERS I would like to thank the Border Union Committee for giving me my first
C.C. appointment in the breed and also to thank the exhibitors for their
entries. PD (2) 1. Catto’s Nordcairn’s Once Upon a Time
At Birselaw (IMP DNK), dark brindle, very mature 8month old puppy, ample
bone, good topline and tailset, correct double coat, moved and showed well. 2. Miller’s Cornton Dark Corrie, dark
brindle dog almost 1 year old, good head, shoulders and body although I would
have preferred a bit less all round, moved ok. JD (1) 1. Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy
Limited Edition, 18month red dog of good size and in full coat, playing up a
bit on the grass today which affected his movement. ND (0) PGD (1) 1. Miller’s Cornton Coulter, red
brindle, a large heavy boned dog, well up to size although overall balanced,
coat was not at its best today, hindquarters are not as strong as fore
quarters and this affected his movement. LD (3) 1. Shaw’s Honeyhall Headboy, wheaten
brindle, lovely head and ear placement, dark eye, good reach of neck on well placed
shoulders, level topline and good tailset, a well balanced dog who looked good
on the table and on the move, very much in tune with his handler. A bit short
of coat today but still deserved his win. DOG C.C. 2. Lamb & Saltmarsh’s Renshaw
There And Back Again Under Macmoon SHCM, grey brindle, good head and ear
placement with correct dark eye, level topline & good tailset, overall
well balanced dog who moved and showed well. 3. Fortune’s Eglish Willies Wee Man
With Essdeeeff. OD (3) 1. Catto’s Ch. Birselaw The Thrill
Of It All, wheaten brindle, typical head and expression, which we have come
to expect from this kennel, good topline and tailset, a well balanced dog in
need of a new coat, a steady mover. Reserve Dog C.C. 2.Percy’s Winetta Stand and Deliver,
dark brindle, good head neck & shoulder placement, new coat growing in
which will enhance his appearance, moved well for his handler. 3. Lamb & Saltmarsh’s Birselaw
Fable of MacMoon SHCM VD (1) 1.Smith’s Ch. Rocasovale Razzle
Dazzle, 8year old dark brindle dog, correct head and ear placement, in good
overall condition, a sound mover who showed well. Best Veteran. PB (3) 1.Firth’s Cairngold Clara, very
attractive 7½ month bitch puppy, red
brindle with a lovely head and sweet expression, very alert and lively, a
well-constructed puppy, I liked everything about her and will watch her
future with interest. Best Puppy 2. Miller’s Cornton Brora, 1year old
dark brindle bitch, good strong bitch in need of a new coat, moved well. 3. Firth’s Cairngold Cliquot JB (2) 1.Klebo’s Cairnstone’s Life On Mars,
a very pretty 15 month old red brindle bitch from Sweden, lovely head and ear
placement, good reach of neck, level topline and good tailset, well balanced,
alert ,very pleasing on the eye, responded well to her handler, moved and
showed very well, pleased to award her Reserve Bitch C.C. 2. Percy’s Winetta Duchess Dora,
18month wheaten brindle bitch who has still to mature, good head and ear
placement, coat not at its best today, a sound mover. NB (0) PGB (3) 1. Bowness’s Birselaw Blithe Spirit,
cream bitch with dark points, nice feminine head, good size, well balanced
body, correct double coat, ok on the move. 2. Berrecloth’s Sybster Sanderoma, wheaten
brindle, feminine head, good dark eye, well placed ears, coat not at its best
today, at times moving a bit close behind. 3. Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy
Dizzee Rascal LB (2) 1. Culliford’s Brenndarcy Maid In
Heaven, cream brindle, lovely head, correct ear placement with good dark eye,
nice fore chest, in good coat & condition, moved well. 2. Smith’s Anjofra Plum Tart At
Rocasovale, dark brindle, nice head and expression, giving her handler a hard
time on the move. OB (2) 1.Felters & Rumens Ch. Landbuck
Xanthe, red bitch with a lovely feminine head, good dark eye, nicely placed
ears, level topline and correct tail carriage, very alert, presented in good
condition, moved and showed well. Bitch C.C. & BOB 2. Clarke’s Lentrica Sweet Sensation,
wheaten brindle, lovely head & expression, good length of leg, moved
freely and attentive to handler, preferred overall presentation of 1. VB (1) 1.Clarke’s Ch. Conundrum Sweeter For
Me For Lentrica JW SHCM, 8 year old dark brindle bitch of good size, with
