CITY OF BIRMINGHAM CHAMPIONSHIP DOG SHOW – Saturday 30th
August 2014 CAIRN TERRIERS I would like to thank the City of Birmingham Committee
for their hospitality and the exhibitors for their entries. Temperaments were very good. Movement though was very mixed, some excelled with good drive from
the rear but I was disappointed to find some almost touching at the rear. VD (1) 1. King & Leighton’s Ch. Carradine Night
Listener At Harkinleigh, dark grey brindle with masculine head, only just
into veteran, covered the ground well holding his topline, showed well. MPD (2) 1. Weinberger’s Correnie Hurricane Fly, red
brindle, good front, nice neck and shoulders and level topline. Furnishings will complete the picture –
moved and showed well. 2. Alexander’s Stirlingview Shake The Dice,
wheaten with desirable black points, lovely head and expression, full of
himself, very showy. PD (2) 1. Catto’s Nordcairn's Once Upon A Time At
Birselaw (Imp), dark brindled full coat, lovely head, nice neck into level
topline, would like to see him moved a little quicker. BPD & BP. Pleased to see he went Terrier
Puppy Group 2 under Puppy Group Judge, Albert Wight. 2. Kinchin’s Pennidazzle All Spruced Up, dark
brindle with good quality coat.
Lovely head and expression but not co-operating with his handler on
the move today. JD (4, 2) 1. Peers & Peers Tweedisle Relight My Fire, red with
desirable dark points, masculine head, good reach of neck
into level topline, nice harsh coat, moved and showed well once he settled, would like
a little more body. 2. Paige’s Glenrood Trojan Prince, dark brindle, masculine head,
good neck and shoulders, well handled. GD (2) 1. Drew’s Tycadno Thriller At L'artiste,
wheaten brindle, lovely head and expression, nicely bodied with a good spring
of rib. Level topline and good tail
set. Moved and showed well. Considered him for RCC. 2. Day’s Cherrycrack Ludo At Trekhilli Jw
Sh.CM, dark brindle, nicely presented, lovely length of neck into level
topline with a good tail set. Showed well. PGD(2, 1) 1.
Brennan Cloverbrook I Mean Business At Milindack,
dark grey with strong head. Nice reach of neck, good topline. Would like a little more body. Good turn of stifle, moved and showed well. LD (6) 1. Pearson’s Cloverbrook Special Effect, dark
brindle, masculine head, dark eye and mischievous expression. Nice length of neck into level topline,
good spring of rib. Good turn of
stifle, moved with drive. RDCC 2. Shaw’s Honeyhall Headboy, wheaten brindle,
strong masculine head, level topline which he kept on the move, showed well.
Today preferred outline of one. 3. Mears Glenmear Magee OD (3) 1. Thomas’s Ch Tycadno I Spy, well balanced wheaten
brindle, typical masculine head, nice front, good spring of rib. Level topline and good tail set, lovely to
go over. Good texture coat. Once settled, moved and showed well. DCC & BOB 2. Catto’s Ch. Birselaw The Thrill Of It All,
grey brindle, good length of neck
into level topline and good tail set. Would like a little more body. Moved and showed well 3. Waites’ Svendalens Snow Knight GCD(2,1) Neck, level
topline. Moved and showed well. VB (1) 1. King, Leighton, Inett, & Harrison’s
Curtisey Foreign Account With Carradine, grey brindle, lovely head and
expression, showed well enjoying her
day out. MPB (3, 1) 1.
Thomas’s
Tycadno Morning Star, good quality cream coat coming in, nicely balanced with a good length of leg. Head furnishings will complete the picture. Moved and showed confidently. BPB 2. Shannon, & Storr Brenndarcy Fortune
Teller, brindle with lovely mischievous expression. Nicely bodied, good reach of neck and level topline. Not co-operating with her handler today. PB (3, 1) 1.

Mr & Mrs A Tweslam Born To Bewitch, cream with desirable dark
points. Feminine head with lovely expression, good
reach of neck into level topline. Showed well. 2.
Kinchin’s
Pennidazzle Tuesdays Child, 9 month grey brindle, nicely bodied, good topline, needs time to mature. JB (5, 2) 1.
Owen
Mr & Mrs P J & J Caldwall Call The Shots, lovely balanced cream bitch
with desirable dark points and mischievous expression. Good length of neck in to level topline,
coat of good texture. Moved and
showed well. A strong contender for
RBCC – one I will watch with interest. 2.

Milindack Maid To Measure, red with striking dark mask. Good spring of Rib, level topline. 3. Peers’ Tweedisle Carefree GB(5) 1. Kinchin’s
Carradine Ruby Tuesday At Pennidazzle, well balanced grey
brindle. Nicely bodied with a good
spring of rib. Moved and showed well. 2. Owens Caldwall Carefree cream bitch, nicely
balanced with a good reach of neck into level topline. Moved well
once she settled. 3. Inett,
Harrison, & Clayton Carradine
Secret Snowdrop PGB (4, 1 ) 1. Tutchings’
Cloverbrook Touch Of Class At Crowneast, dark brindle bitch with
lovely head and expression, nicely balanced.
True front and rear movement, very showy. 2. Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Dizzee
Rascal, red with striking head. Well
balanced, with good spring of rib. Coat
of correct texture. Moved well. 3. Torpey’s Anglyairn The Real Thing LB (4) : 1. Randall’s Cloverbrook Wot A Surprise, well
balanced red brindle with desirable dark points. Good head, lovely reach of neck into level topline with good
tail set. Nicely bodied, good length
of leg. Well presented coat of
correct texture. Moved with drive
once she settled and cooperated with handler. RBCC. 2. Petts’s Doonrae Lexicon Of Love, wheaten
brindle with lovely feminine head and mischievous expression. Nicely balanced although smaller than the first. Showed well. 3. Smith’s Glenmear Sproxton Lass Of Gethlee OB (7, 2 ) 1. Felters & Rumens Ch. Landbuck Xanthe,
lovely feminine cream bitch with desirable dark points. Loved her mischievous expression. Good reach of neck into level topline
which she retained on the move.
Nicely balanced, moved well driving from the rear. Very animated showy bitch. Pleased to award her BCC. 2. Alexander’s Ir. Ch. Stirlingview Peggy Sue,
lovely red brindle bitch with desirable dark points, up to size but balanced,
good topline and tail set. Moved and
showed well. 3. Osborn’s Mr & Mrs A Tweslam Thistle Be
