MPD (1) 1 BP, Clarke’s Svendalens Perseverance with
Lentria, exceptionally promising 6 months old. I really wouldn’t want
him any different for age. Lovely head & broad jaws, OK in neck &
front, excellent topline & underline. Tail set & carried perfectly
& he moves very well all ways. JD (2,1a) 1 RCC, Keeves’ Seveek Double Dice, very ragged in
coat & not ‘rugged’ & he smelt a bit. Lovely head & the best of
pigment. Fair front, good body & rear & great temperament. Moves very
well indeed. YD(0). PGD (2) Two not very good Cairns but able to
place them 1 & 2 for several virtues. 1 Brennan’s Cloverbrook I Mean Business at
Milindack, was the right length to height, has a good coat & underline
& reasonable front. A little narrow in head & moves with his backend
tucked under him; 2 Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Limited Edition,
good head & perfect triangle between ears when erect & nose. Very
upright in shoulders & rather boxy in outline. Excellent coat & tail. LD (6,1) Nice class. 1 CC, Shopland’s Hjohho’s A Kind Hjo Can’t Find On
Cherrycrack, super in type & quality, good head & eyes, neat front,
well bodied & a level back, tailset & carried correctly. Excellent
coat & presentation. Well made quarters & he moved smoothly &
with some power but could have put more effort into it; 2 Lamb & Saltmarsh’s Renshaw There And Back
Again, also appealed for proportions, size & balance. His head hair is a
little too soft & he is rather undermuscled but it didn’t affect his
precise movement. In good hard back coat, super legs & feet, overall a
rugged but still smart Cairn male; 3 Bateman & Gompels’ Carradine Terries Tipple. OD (2) 1 Inett, Harrison & Melia’s Can Ch Emjade Jimmy
Hendrix, a big dog, moving very wide going away but super front, bone &
tight feet. OK in head, ears carried a little to the side. Nicely presented
& he has bags of personality; 2 Percy’s Ch Winetta Stand And Deliver, stands with
his feet turned out far too much & moving very close going away. Good
outline, excellent deep pigment, neat ears, strong jaws, reasonable mover in
profile too. GCD (1) 1 Lamb & Saltmarsh’s Birselaw
Fable. MPB (2) Two
exuberant babies. 1 Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Fortune Teller, I liked
her head & correct placement & carriage of ears. Fair front, good
bone, well bodied & deep enough for age. Very profuse coat. Difficult to
assess movement on either baby; 2 Lomax’s Birselaw Heart Of Glass at Quickmere, not so
developed in body & depth of chest as 1. She moved quite well in
snatches. Ears set a bit too close together. Lovely almond to oval shape of
eye. Feet a bit thin. PB (2,1) 1 Osborn’s Tweslam Born To Bewitch, promising puppy, a
little in between stages on the day. Very true & precise moving. Deep
pigment, strong foreface, good bone for size which was plenty big enough for
a puppy bitch. Nicely angulated quarters, well set tail. JB (4) 1 Waites’ Seveek Snow Angel with Svendalens, lovely
proportions & is of correct size, powerful construction, good head,
immaculate front, good forechest & upper arm shape, the whole front end
well put together. OK in quarters but can still widen a little more going
away. Excellent coat coming & a lovely quality prospect; 2 Brennan’s Milindack Maid To Measure, needs a better lay
of shoulder & shoulder blades set up her neck so the neck joining her
back is very abrupt. Moved better in rear than 1 but overall make & shape
not quite up to 1; 3 Felters & Rumens’ Tweedisle Playing With Fire at
Landbuck. YB (3,1) 1 Owen’s Caldwall Carefree, lovely head & expressive
eyes, neat small ears set well. OK in front & rear movement but in
profile it shows she slopes off in croup. Good proportions of height to
length & a great temperament; 2 Percy’s Winetta Duchess Dora, bigger bitch & running
up in topline & straighter behind than she should be. Good forehand,
wonderful coat with that slightly greasy (but clean) feel that is so
weatherproof. Shows beautifully & is an attractive exhibit. PGB (5,1) 1 Melia’s Carradine Minnies Magic, looks a little too heavy
in body but it is a very thick coat. Liked her head, not too large & in
proportion to her body. Good front, bone & feet, moved well & carried
her tail nicely, good size & shows well; 2 Marshall & Gavaghan’s Doonrae Million Dollar Baby,
not the hindquarters of 1 & she looks rather leggy & out of balance
just at this stage of development. Promising & pleasing to go over. Well
ribbed & a good level back. Needs time I thought; 3 Purvis’ Svendalens Memoire Cherie. LB (5,2) 1 RCC, Petts’ Doonrae Lexicon Of Love, lovely bitch. I was
very taken with her. Good size, head of good shape & strength, eyes could
be a little less round maybe. Sound front, well ribbed, powerful quarters
& superbly muscled up, tail carried out well. In good rugged coat &
lovely body condition. Moved nicely & smoothly covering the ground with
ease; 2 Carter’s Brenndarcy Dizzie Lizzie at Carernwll, also
very well conditioned & beautiful quarters with well developed second
thighs. Good head & eyes, just not moving as well in front as 1 but her
equal in body, quarters & coat texture; 3 Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Dizzee Rascal. OB (7,1) A
good class. 1 CC & BOB, Osborn’s Tweslam Thistle Be Magic, a mite
too square maybe but her head, eyes & neat ears were super. Very true
front & rear, rugged coat, excellent tail, great personality, shows
superbly & is great in side action for ground coverage & smoothness.
Outmoved the DCC for BOB. A quality bitch of workmanlike appearance; 2 Bateman & Inett’s Carradine In Love With Amy, just a
little bolder in eye & a wee bit too close going away. Slightly better in
length of body than 1. Also admired her neck, front, bone & topline. Well
set & carried tail & well bent stifles; 3 Keeves’ Ch Seveek Living The Dream. GCB (2) 1 Ch S Living The Dream, up from 3rd in OB, a lovely
bitch, just on the big side but super to go over, great side action & in
smashing coat, body & muscletone; 2 Purvis’ Svendalens Memoire Cherie, a little more
‘ragged’ than ‘rugged’ & slightly heavy in body. Good for size & proportions
of height to length, shows well & was enjoying herself. Zena Thorne-Andrews |
