Championship Show Friday 22nd
May 2015 Cairn Terriers – Judge
Mrs Julie Petts MPD (1) 1st DOLAN’S
Glenrood Spycatcher grey brindle puppy of just
6 months old, very much a baby & a bit overcome by the noises but a
nicely balanced boy with dark mask and correct ear set, big teeth, level
topline and correct tail set, short tight coat of correct texture, just needs
time. PD (2) 1st WEINBERGERS
Correnie No No Romeo (BPD) Red brindle dog puppy,
coming up to 10 months old, good stop, large teeth, bit rangy at present and
needs to fill out & mature, but he has plenty of time, good double coat
of correct texture, level topline and good tail set. Showed & moved
steadily 2nd HACKER’S
Teddeana Mr Jinks Copper Brindle, slightly
older and more mature than 1, masculine head, good stop, big teeth, quality
double coat, level topline, his movement was much better when shown on a
loose lead, not responding very well to his handler today. JD (4) 1st THOMPSON’S
Castleline Barn Dance Wheaten dog, with desired
dark points, good stop, correct ear placement, big teeth, good length of neck
flowing into correct shoulders, this dog impressed me with his balanced
outline and good movement, he moved with drive from behind and good reach in
front, harsh coat with dense soft undercoat. Correct tailset and level
topline, a very promising young dog, his handler just needs to learn how to
keep his interest for longer. 2nd INETT,
HARRISON, KING & LEIGHTON ‘s Carradine George Flies With Harkinleigh Grey brindle dog, with a
very mature masculine head, dark mask, big teeth and good stop, good eye
shape and colour. His coat was profuse and of correct texture with good
quality undercoat, moved well with level topline and excellent tailset, for
me he was carrying a bit of weight today, never the less another promising
young dog. 3rd
WEINBERGER’S Correnie Hurricane Fly ND no entries PGD (4) 1 absent 1st PERCY’S
Winetta Sir Ivor (RDCC) Striking dark brindle dog
with dark mask, very masculine with good ear placement, large teeth and
correct stop, shown in top quality coat, level topline and good tail set,
well sprung ribs, muscled rear quarters,
excellent movement, with drive from the rear and reaching out in
front, he just seemed to lose his spark a bit in the challenge. 2nd KINCHIN’S Pennidazzle All Spruced Up Grey brindle dog,
masculine head, big teeth, good stop, good quality coat, level topline, good
bone. A nice dog, who moves well, just seemed to lack a bit of enthusiasm
today. 3rd PEERS’
Tweedisle Relight My Fire LD (4) 1st WAUGH’S
Tribannon War Dance Light Wheaten dog, with
the excellent head proportions, good stop and big teeth, well placed ears,
dark points. Profuse coat of correct harsh texture and with dense undercoat,
good topline and tailset, up to size, excellent movement & I really liked him, but today his
coat was at different stages and in the line-up he was distracted so didn’t
show at his best. 2nd DREW’s
Tycadno Thriller at L’Artiste Wheaten Brindle boy, dark
mask, no mistaking he is a male, excels in head, with big teeth, good stop
and correct ear set. Correct texture double coat in good condition, correct
