Friday 22nd May 2015

Cairn Terriers – Judge Mrs Julie Petts

MPD (1)

1st DOLAN’S Glenrood Spycatcher

grey brindle puppy of just 6 months old, very much a baby & a bit overcome by the noises but a nicely balanced boy with dark mask and correct ear set, big teeth, level topline and correct tail set, short tight coat of correct texture, just needs time.

PD (2)

1st WEINBERGERS Correnie  No No Romeo (BPD)

Red brindle dog puppy, coming up to 10 months old, good stop, large teeth, bit rangy at present and needs to fill out & mature, but he has plenty of time, good double coat of correct texture, level topline and good tail set. Showed & moved steadily

2nd HACKER’S Teddeana Mr Jinks

Copper Brindle, slightly older and more mature than 1, masculine head, good stop, big teeth, quality double coat, level topline, his movement was much better when shown on a loose lead, not responding very well to his handler today.

JD (4)

1st THOMPSON’S Castleline Barn Dance

Wheaten dog, with desired dark points, good stop, correct ear placement, big teeth, good length of neck flowing into correct shoulders, this dog impressed me with his balanced outline and good movement, he moved with drive from behind and good reach in front, harsh coat with dense soft undercoat. Correct tailset and level topline, a very promising young dog, his handler just needs to learn how to keep his interest for longer.

2nd INETT, HARRISON, KING & LEIGHTON ‘s Carradine George Flies With Harkinleigh

Grey brindle dog, with a very mature masculine head, dark mask, big teeth and good stop, good eye shape and colour. His coat was profuse and of correct texture with good quality undercoat, moved well with level topline and excellent tailset, for me he was carrying a bit of weight today, never the less another promising young dog.

3rd WEINBERGER’S Correnie Hurricane Fly

ND no entries

PGD (4) 1 absent

1st PERCY’S Winetta Sir Ivor (RDCC)

Striking dark brindle dog with dark mask, very masculine with good ear placement, large teeth and correct stop, shown in top quality coat, level topline and good tail set, well sprung ribs, muscled rear quarters,  excellent movement, with drive from the rear and reaching out in front, he just seemed to lose his spark a bit in the challenge.

2nd  KINCHIN’S Pennidazzle All Spruced Up

Grey brindle dog, masculine head, big teeth, good stop, good quality coat, level topline, good bone. A nice dog, who moves well, just seemed to lack a bit of enthusiasm today.

3rd PEERS’ Tweedisle Relight My Fire

 LD (4)

1st WAUGH’S Tribannon War Dance

Light Wheaten dog, with the excellent head proportions, good stop and big teeth, well placed ears, dark points. Profuse coat of correct harsh texture and with dense undercoat, good topline and tailset, up to size, excellent movement  & I really liked him, but today his coat was at different stages and in the line-up he was distracted so didn’t show at his best.

2nd DREW’s Tycadno Thriller at L’Artiste

Wheaten Brindle boy, dark mask, no mistaking he is a male, excels in head, with big teeth, good stop and correct ear set. Correct texture double coat in good condition, correct tailset, moved and showed very well for his handler.

3rd INETT & ENGEBRETSEN’S Carradine Dexter

OD (4) 1 absent

1st WAITES Svendalens Snow Knight (DCC & BOB)

Grey Brindle boy, dark mask, large teeth, good stop, good length of neck flowing into shoulders, not overdone in any way, he moved around the ring with drive and purpose. Level topline and correct tailset, in very good coat and body condition, he showed all the time and never took his eye off his handler, an excellent showman.

2nd BATEMAN & GOMPELS Carradine Terries Tipple

Cream with some brindling, dark points, large teeth, good stop, excellent topline and tailset, shown in good coat, of correct texture, good bone, moved well but just didn’t seem to have his heart in it today.

3rd LAMB & SALTMARSH’S Birselaw Fable Sh CM

MPB (4)

1st OLDALE’S Tweslam Voodoo Child (BPB & BPIB)

Clear Red bitch puppy, very pretty feminine head, with good stop, neat ears, correct bite, good quality coat, level topline and good tailset. A very confident showgirl, she moved well & never stopped showing, she should have a bright future.

2nd CLARKE’S Lentrica Dolly Daydream

Light wheaten, good stop, correct ear placement, big teeth, needs her furnishings to come, but everything where it should be. Short tight coat of correct texture, topline and tail set bang on, another natural showgirl, who surely has a very promising future.

3rd FIRTH’S Lentrica Carte Blanche

PB (1)

1st KEEVES Midnight Dreams Among Seveek

Light red, feminine head with dark points, good stop, neat ears good length of neck, correct texture coat, level topline, good rear movement but a bit erratic in front, showed well.

JB (4)

1st DAY’S Trekhilli Pickled Peppa

Grey Brindle bitch, feminine, with good stop, big teeth, good length of neck and correct front construction, nicely balanced with level topline and correct tailset. Good quality double coat, presented very well, she flowed round the ring and responded well to her handler.

2nd THOMAS’S Tycadno Morning Star

Wheaten with slight brindling and dark points, this bitch excels in head, with good stop, correct eye shape, good ear placement. Level topline and good tailset, she moved with drive and reached out in front, coat not at its best today which cost her a placing in this strong class.

3rd WAUGH’S Andrum Bright Side

 NB (5) 2 absent

1st INETT, HARRISON & CLAYTON’S Carradine Connie’s Kirsty

Wheaten brindle, feminine head, good stop, correct ear placement, big teeth, well balanced with excellent topline and tailset. Profuse coat of very good texture, flowed round the ring with drive, she never stopped showing.

2nd OSBORN’S Tweslam Born to Bewitch

Smart cream bitch, with good stop, big teeth, correct ear placement good length of neck, level topline & correct tailset, her movement was excellent, a natural showgirl, she flowed around the ring, but her coat is past its best today.

3rd DREW’S Miketos Marvelous Fiona at L’Artiste (imp)

PGB (6)

1st DOLAN’S Glenrood Scheherazade

Feminine cream bitch, gorgeous head, with good stop, neat well placed ears, good length of neck, level topline and correct tailset, well sprung ribs. Shown in excellent condition, good size, quality coat, this bitch was very animated which a Cairn should be.

2nd KEEVES Seveek I Dreamed a Dream

Another very feminine bitch, grey brindle, dark mask, good stop and well placed ears, good quality harsh coat, not a big bitch but a smart little girl, she moved round the ring with drive, and she never stopped showing

3rd WAUGH’S Tribannon Minuet

LB (3)

1st OWEN’S Caldwell Call the Shots (RBCC)

Cream brindle, keen expression with dark points, good stop, big teeth, nice ear placement, good length of neck and correct shoulder, well  muscled quarters, lovely balanced bitch, good topline and tail set. Good coat of correct texture, this bitch showed with enthusiasm and responded well to her handler, she pushed hard in the challenge.

2nd SMEE’S Malmay Sunshine Sally

Dark brindle bitch, very pretty feminine girl, with good proportions to her head, neat ears, good stop, correct topline and tailset, shown in good quality double coat, moved well both ways, another one responding well to her handler, just lacked the extra sparkle of 1

3rd PERCY’S  Winetta Unforgettable

OB (6)

1st DOLAN’S Ch Glenrood Magic Spell (BCC & BOS)

Dark red Brindle bitch, good stop, correct ear placement, nice eye shape and colour, good length of neck and level topline with correct tailset, good quality coat of correct texture, a very balanced & well constructed bitch whose movement was faultless, very attentive to her owner.

2nd OSBORNE’S Ch Tweslam Thistle be Magic

Dark red brindle, similar type to first, with good head, correct ear placement, large teeth, very good quality double coat, level topline and correct tailset, moved very well, driving from the rear, and reaching out in front, another one who is attentive to her owner.

3rd KEEVES Ch Living the Dream JW Sh CM

 Judge – Julie Petts.
