THE CAIRN TERRIER CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW SUNDAY 29th
March 2015 In the past I found heads
to be a problem with fine muzzles coming into the Breed, glad to say this was
not so today, I thought most heads and expressions were good. A few exhibits lack depth
in chest, I found coats on the
whole harsh and of good texture
although one or two had a softer coat than I would expect on a Cairn. Movement was fine in most
exhibits. Dog CC and BOB Shaw’s CH. HONEYHALL HEADBOY A quality Champion shown in
good coat and condition, nice dog to go over on the table, strong masculine
head with good expression, good stop, correct bite and large teeth, good
front, enough neck going into correct shoulders, level topline which he kept
on the move, good bone and muscular rear quarters, moved well round the ring,
has a balanced outline when standing, pleased to award him the CC and BOB Res Dog CC Catto’s
CH. BIRSELAW THE THRILL OF IT ALL Nothing I can add to my
critique that has not already been said about this well known Champion, he
has everything you would want in a Cairn, typical head and expression which
we have come to expect from this kennel, shown in full coat of correct
texture he has balance, good bone, spring of rib, muscular thighs which enables
him to move with ease round the ring. Unfortunately today he had other things
on his mind after getting the scent of a bitch in season. Res CC A worthy Champion Bitch CC Bateman & Inett CARRADINE IN LOVE WITH AMY This bitch has a beautiful
head with dark points that enhances her very feminine expression, a favourite of
mine, I gave her Best Puppy in Breed when I last judged, pleased to see she has
matured into a lovely bitch, she is sound and has good bone, correct mouth, neck and
shoulders, a level topline which is held on the move, well muscled quarters,
shown in good coat and condition. I was pleased to award her the CC. her 3rd
I was told, well done. A quality bitch. Res Bitch CC Pett’s
DOONRAE LEXICON OF LOVE A lot to like about this
bitch, correct head proportions that give her that attractive feminine
expression, she has a lovely outline when standing and strong hindquarters which enable her to move
with ease keeping her topline as she goes, she has a good mouth with correct
bite, nice front, neck and shoulders, good coat and condition, pleased to
award her the Res CC, a nice bitch. Best Puppy in Breed Confue & Pavlova ANJOFRA ROULETTE RUSSE Confident Wheaten with dark
points giving him a nice head and expression, mouth and teeth good, balanced
outline, good length of leg, in good coat and condition moved well. Special Veteran D/B 4-1 1 Parkin’s ROACHDEE MYSTERY OF THE FULL MOON 8 year old red with dark points in very good coat and
condition, nice head and expression, good mouth, topline and tailset, moved
and showed well. 2 Berrecloth’s SYBSTER
SHIRAZ SH CM Another dog with dark points that enhance his good head and
expression, nice balanced dog in good coat, moved and showed well. 3 Dawson’s SYBSTER
SAUVIGNON Special Vintage D/B 2-0 1 Berrecloth’s CH SYBSTER SPRING TIME SH. CM 12 year old grey brindle in good coat and condition, still
enjoying the show ring, well muscled, good head and expression, moved and

ONCE UPON A TIME AT BIRSELAW ( IMP DNK) Lovely balanced dog shown in full harsh coat of correct
texture, strong masculine head with nice expression, good mouth with big
teeth, nice neck going into correct shoulders, good front, ribs, topline and
tailset, has a lovely outline when standing and moves well round the ring,
never lost focus, I like him a lot and I am sure he will be taking top

DON’T STOP ME NOW Nice head and expression,correct bite and good teeth, nice
neck and shoulders, level topline and good tailset, in good coat and condition,

CORRIE Dark brindle with nice head and expression, well bodied dog

NICODEMUS Red dog with harsh coat, nice ear set, level topline, would
like a more masculine head, feel more face and head furnishings would help. 2 Lamb & Saltmarsh’s
BIRSELAW DARK CHARMER Just out of puppy, nice head, level topline, moved and
showed well, needs time, coat a bit soft at present. Graduate Dog 1-0 1 Parkin’s CARRADINE MY
MATE MATTHEW Stood alone but deserved his win Red brindle with a very
nice head and expression, good mouth with big teeth, good front, nice neck
flowing into good shoulders, level topline and good tailset, in very good
coat and condition, moved and showed well.

liked his balance and nice outline when standing, he has a good mouth, nice
front, correct shoulders,good spring of rib, and was shown in good coat of
correct texture. I liked this dog and
