National Terrier Club 2015 Critique for Cairn Terriers I would like to thank all the exhibitors for a
fantastic entry – both in quantity and quality. It was a privilege to go over
so many lovely Cairns. The relaxed and sociable atmosphere certainly seemed
to be enjoyed by all –and I
appreciated the sporting way in which you all accepted my decisions. I would also like thank my stewards for
doing such a sterling job- and thank you for the Easter eggs! I thoroughly
enjoyed my day. My main winners were: B.O.B and D.C.C Currie’s Stirlingview Superhero RDCC Drew’s Tycadno Thriller at L’Artiste BCC Hughes’ and Hooton’s Gyncairn Believe in Magic RBCC Dolan’s Ch.Glenrood Magic Spell BP Thompson’s Castleline Barn Dance Minor Puppy Dog (3) Three promising puppies. 1)
Weinberger’s Correnie No No Romeo. 8 months old red
brindle. Nice size, pleasing head with a good stop and keen expression. Good neck and shoulders, nicely
constructed throughout. Lovely body shape with good turn of stifle and
correct tail set. Showing and moving well. 2)
Shopland’s Cherrycrack Red October. 8 months old cream.
Nice head and expression. Excellent mouth. Correct body shape and size, good
neck and shoulders, nicely balanced body with correct hindquarters. Tail set
correct and moved well behind. Shown in good coat and condition. 3)
Saich’s Seveek Man About Town for Lindcoly. Puppy Dog (3) 1)
Thompson’s Castleline Barn Dance. 11 months old cream.
Lovely cream dog, good head, stop, eye and expression. Correct teeth. Loved
his overall balance, reach of neck flowing into good shoulders, level topline
and correct tail set. Moved with drive. A quality puppy coat. Very
promising.BPIB 2)
Peers’ Performing the Dream for Tweedisle. 10 months old
cream. Lovely balance with pleasing head and expression. Nicely constructed
body and well made with good bone and correct tail set. Unfortunately today
carrying a little too much weight. 3)
Saich’s Seveek Man About Town for Lindcoly Junior Dog (4) A lovely class of youngsters. 1)
Weinberger’s Correnie Hurricane Fly. 14 months red with good head , dark eye
and good expression. Correct mouth, good neck and shoulders, nice front and
well balanced body with good length of leg. Tail set correct. Exhibitor had
problems settling him on the move, however once settled he moved well in both
directions. 2)
Confue F,C,S and Pavlova’s Anjofra Roulette Russe.
Wheaten brindle with dark points with excellent head and expression. Good
mouth, well made body and balanced throughout. Shown in nice coat and
condition. 3)
Currie’s Stirlingview Play the Dice Graduate Dog (4, 1a) 1)
Kinton’s Woodthorpe I Know the Code. 14 months old
wheaten brindle. A confident showman with good mouth, excellent head and
expression. Good front, well sprung ribs and strong hindquarters. Good tail
set. Moved with drive and well handled. One to watch. 2)
Parker Tucker’s
Uniquecottage Winsford. Another nice male. Good head, keen expression, well
bodied. Shown in excellent coat and
condition. Moved well once settled. 3)
Paige’s Glenrood Trojan Prince Post Graduate dog (6) 1)
Drew’s Tycadno Thriller at L’Artiste. Wheaten brindle,
masculine head and expression, well bodied throughout with good spring of
rib. Correct topline and good tail set. Good turn of stifle. Moved with
drive. Nicely presented in excellent jacket. Showed and handled well. RDCC 2)
Hughes’ and Hooton’s Gyncairn Magical Mystery. 21 months
old cream. Lovely head and expression. Good neck and shoulders, correct
topline. Showed and moved well once settled.
In excellent coat and condition. Handled well. 3)
Brennan’s Milindack Master Class Limit dog (8,1a) 1)
Currie’s Stirlingview Superhero . Cream of correct size and shape. All male,
excellent head and expression. Correct eye, mouth,ear set and well defined
stop. Good length of neck which blends into his well angulated shoulders.
Good depth of rib, level topline and tail set. Good turn of stifle. Well made
hindquarters. Moved well both ways, covering the ground. Shown in excellent
coat and condition to gain him DCC and BOB. 2)
Mears’ Glenmear Magee. Wheaten brindle. Masculine head,
good stop, good mouth and keen expression. Good neck and shoulders. Nicely
balanced body with good bone, correct tail set
and in excellent coat and condition. 3)
Shopland’s Hjohoo’s A Kind Hjo Can’t Find On Cherrycrack.
Open dog (4) 1) Thomas’s
Ch. Tycadno I Spy. All male with excellent head, dark eye, small ears and
correct stop. Well placed shoulders, well bodied with good spring of rib and
correct tail set. Shown in excellent
coat and condition. Played his handler up a bit but moved soundly when settled. Litter brother of RDCC winner.
2) Shaw’s
Ch.Honeyhall Headboy. Eyecatching dog with good head, lots to like, correct
neck running into well placed shoulders, well bodied with good spring of rib.
Shown in correct jacket and handled well. A close decision between two worthy
champions. 3) Saich’s Lindcoly I Believe I
Can Fly Minor Puppy bitch (3) 1)
Keeves’ Midnight Dreams Among Seveek. 8 month old wheaten brindle. Still quite
raw at present . Feminine head and nice outline. Needs to be more positive in
front and needs time to mature. 2)
Saich’s Lindcoly Golden Dream Red 7 months old baby with
dark points. Nice coat and condition. Couldn’t assess movement today. Would
benefit from more ring training. 3)
Saich’s Lindcoly Waffly Versatile Puppy bitch (5) 1)
Day’s Trekhilli Pickled Peppa 11 month old grey brindle.
Feminine head and in excellent coat and condition. Moved and showed very well
and well handled.BPB 2)
Thompson’s Castleline Shouldn’t Do That. 11 months old cream. Litter sister to
BPIB. Not the head of 1) Would have liked a little more neck for balance. In
nice coat and condition. Steady mover. 3)
Melia’s Carradine Miranda All Heart Junior bitch (9) 1)
Robinson’s Cruzo Capriole. Excellent class. Lovely
feminine wheaten with good head, lovely balance and outline with good tail
set. Good length of neck with correct
shoulder angulation. Well made hind quarters and a positive mover both ways.
Just needs more coat to complete the overall picture. Considered her for the
RCC. One to watch. 2)
Thomas’s Tycadno Morning Star. 14 months old. Lovely
balanced outline. Feminine head and expression. Good length of neck with
correct shoulder angulation. Correct
conformation throughout. In good coat and condition. Moved well. Two
excellent bitches. 3)
Dolan’s Glenrood Scheherazade Graduate bitch (4,1a) 1)
Thomas’s Tycadno Miss Moneypenny. Litter sister to 2nd
in junior and sharing many of her attributes. Two sisters who will change
places many times. Another lovely exhibit from this kennel. 2)
Berrecloth’s Sybster Sanderoma. Grey brindle. A lovely
feminine head with dark mask. Good conformation throughout, holding her
topline on the move. Shown in the correct jacket. Moved and handled well. 3)
Waugh’s Tribannon Minuet Post Graduate bitch (7,2a) 1)
Hughes and Hooton’s Gyncairn Believe in Magic. A lovely
feminine cream bitch with desirable dark points. Dark eye, good expression,
good in neck, shoulders and front. Well balanced body with correct outline
and good tailset. Well made hindquarters, good coat and condition. Positive
mover both ways. Handled very well to gain her CC. 2)
Brennan’s Milindack Maid to Measure. Red. Very feminine head with dark points.
Excellent mouth. Good neck, shoulders, nice front and really well balanced
body. Good conformation throughout. In excellent coat and condition. Unlucky
to meet 1) on the day. 3)
Confue’s Anjofra Mad About Me Limit Bitch (3) 1)
Yates and Johnson’s Pendley Hester. Feminine dark brindle
with very nice head, dark eye and good expression. Well balanced throughout,
moved well with drive, however her profuse coat detracted from her overall
appearance. Showed and handled well. 2)
Smith’s Glenmear Sproxton Lass of Gethlee. Very nice grey
brindle. Pleasing head and expression. Dark eye and good mouth. Sound
throughout and in excellent coat and condition. A steady showgirl. 3)
Peers’ Tweedisle Carefree Open Bitch (3) 1)
Dolan’s Ch.Glenrood Magic Spell. Dark brindle with
excellent head and keen expression. Dark eye, good mouth, neat ears.
Assertive and confident. Excellent conformation throughout, in tip top
condition, excellent presentation as always from this kennel, moved and handled well.RBCC 2)
Keeves’ Ch. Seveek Living the Dream Shcm. Red . Nice
feminine head. Good front, good neck with good conformation throughout.
Correct tail set and well made hind quarters. Positive mover both ways. Not
overdone in any way. Handled well. 3)
