CH Show Cairn
Terriers I
would like to thank the officers and committee for this kind invitation to
judge at this well run show and to my two stewards who did a super job
keeping the ring flowing and me in check.
I thought that the males were quite straight forward and was very
happy with my winners, there is also lots of potential in some of the
youngsters and in the future I would not be surprised if some changed places.
I found the bitches to be a real challenge, some who took my eye on the floor
but disappointed on the table, either they were far too heavy, lacked bone
and substance or did not have the head and expressions I was looking for and
this is something I just cannot compromise on. It is a bonus if you get a
good moving well constructed cairn but without the head it’s just another
terrier and as expected temperaments were super, no shy ones and most were of
a happy disposition, thank you for accepting my decisions in a very sporting
like manner. Minor
Puppy Dog (3, 1 absence) 1st
Keeves Seveek I spied
that dream. Red,
Lovely headed youngster, Good neck and shoulders level topline and tailset,
moved soundly when settled good coat qualities very much a baby. 2nd Kippens Carradine Dee Jay R/B more
mature than 1. But not the head, super condition, needs to tighten up in front very
happy showman of a good size. Puppy
Dog (3) 1st
Mears Glenmear McIntyre Very
impressed with this youngster who was a bit unsure of himself in the enclosed surroundings completely
stripped out with nothing to hide, super head and expression very good in
movement when he settled, spot on for body and will only improve with
maturity. Best Puppy dog. 2nd Carradine Deejay 3rd
Alexanders Cloverbrook crack the code Junior Dog (7) 1st Innet, Harris, King & Leighton Carradine George Flies with Harkinleigh Eyecatching
youngster with a good head and expression, a joy to watch moving around the
ring, needs to tighten in front and some road work should help this, shown in
fantastic coat and condition, very happy showman who must have a bright
future when he matures. 2nd Weinberger Correnie Hurricane Fly Very
much the type i like, super head and expression very nice outline and moves
well, needs to body up. Shown in good coat and condition, not quite the
showmanship of 1. With time should make the grade. 3rd Confue & Pavlova Anjofra Roulette Russe Post Grad Dog (6) 1st
Andersons Birselan never say never at kerrykeel Stunning
headed youngster, up to size but so well put together, lovely neck and
shoulders level topline with good tailset, moved true both ways forgave his
lack of coat as the many positives far outweighed a temporary situation. RCC 2nd
Poiles Keduaiy Hogmanay Another
nice dog, put down to perfection, good head and expression, moved well
keeping a level topline, could put a bit more into his showing but is of a
good type 3rd

Thomas CH Tycadno I Spy All male
with a lovely head and expression very well balanced, good neck and shoulders
level topline. Good depth and spring of Rib, moves soundly on good legs and
feet, has a bit of fire in his belly and when sparing tends to shorten his body
length but when relaxed looks the part, very pleased to award him the CC and
B.O.B 2nd Shannon & Storr & Kaplan Am Gr Ch Brenndarcy Borgen Re (Imp) Red.

Puppy Bitch (5) 1st Clarke’s Lentricia Dolly Daydream Lovely
headed cream baby, full of personality, nice neck and shoulders.Good front,
level topline with tail on top liked her bone and she moves very well for one
so young, she had the edge over the dog pup on showmanship and coat ,with
luck should progress to better things. 2nd Millers Cornton
Rosemaree Another
nice baby, similar in type to 1. Just has to settle in movement and come
together, has a nice head and good coat, showed well. 3rd

Keeves Seveek Hopes ‘N’ Dreams Junior Bitch (5) A difficult class to judge as the first three
are lovely cairns of different types and at different stages of maturity but
would not be surprised if they all made the grade. 1st
Day’s Trekhilli pickled peppa JW Up to size but of a lovely type,
feminine head and expression appealing overall outline when moving around the
ring on a loose lead. Nice head and expression and was shown in good coat and
condition moving a little close behind today, but a lovely youngster. 2nd Thomas’s Tycadno Miss money penny Another I liked a lot, lovely head
and expression, moved better behind than 1. But a little slacker in front,
covers the ground well, lovely mischievous nature. Shown in decent coat, very
promising. 3rd
Innett, Harrison and claytons Carradine Connies Kirsty, completed a nice
trio. Post Grad Bitch (4) 1st
Morley’s Cannwood Here’s Hetty Stunning
headed bitch with a super mouth, lovely neck and shoulders, level topline
with good tailset, good depth and spring of rib, excellent legs and feet,
moves well both ways, is of a size I like and showed with personality, a
little more coat and maturity to complete the picture but for me she is real
quality. RCC 2nd Dolans Glenrood
Scheherazade Quality youngster
coming together nicely, moved soundly, lovely outline when standing just
needs to body up and mature, nice type. 3rd

Hughes and Hooton Gyncairns Believe in magic Lovely
bitch of good type, nice head and expression, good neck and shoulders moved
fairly well, feel she just has to body up and mature to complete the picture,
beautifully presented in correct length of coat. 2nd
Smee Malmay sunshine sally Brindle loved
her head and expression, not a big girl but full of substance, in super coat
and condition just not as positive as 1 in movement but she is a nice type of
cairn. 3rd
Goud Vale of atholl’s Bessie McIntyre Open
Bitch (9) Quality Class 1st
Hewitts LittleAcorn Stay in touch Not the
most eye catching bitch when you look at the class, but on the table she
excels. The most beautiful head and varmity expression with a good stop:
Super mouth, lovely clean neck and shoulders, nice front, good depth and spring of rip , level topline with
good tailset, nice bend of stifle with short well let down hocks, she moves
true. I found her balanced and hard to fault although a little more coat
would have completed the picture, she was my bitch CC winner. 2nd Coates Penticharm Starlight Another
lovely type of bitch, with so much going for her, so close up to 1 and the
RCC winner, just not as positive in hind movement, but will be well worthy of
her title which cannot be far away. 3rd Shannon and Storrs Brenndarcy Dizzee Rascal |
