Scottish Breeds Cairn Terriers Thank you to everyone who
was sporting enough to enter under me.
Overall coats were in good condition and I only found one bad mouth. I
didn't find any light eyes but a few Cairns lacked adequate brisket. On the whole rear movement was good. Veteran Dog (1) 1st - Parkin's Roachdee
Mystery of The Full Moon Nice clear red in harsh
coat, good pigmentation with dark eye.
Overall conformation correct, level topline, tail well placed, neither
high nor low set. Moved well with drive from the rear and was a lively but
steady showman. Presented nicely. Puppy Dog (2) 1st - Confue &
Pavlova's Anjofra Roulette Russe Nice type. Wheaten, attractive head, correct
mouth. Good length of neck flowing
into sloping shoulders. Coat not in
the best of condition today. Moved
soundly both front and back 2nd - Marshall's
Brenndarcy Lord Marmaduke avec Strathgarten Clear wheaten, beautiful
head with typical dark ears. Good
mouth. Conformation OK. In profuse coat of good quality. Preferred front movement of winner on the
day. Junior Dog (3) 1st - Hogarty's Cadagio
Don't Stop Me Now Rich red brindle, stood
four square, and well forward on forepaws.
Adequate length of neck. Typical
Cairny head with nice dark ears. Good mouth, excellent quality coat just
coming in. Well up to size. Moved OK, very showy. 2nd - Catto's
Nordcairn's Once Upon a Time at Birselaw Dark brindle boy in
excellent quality profuse coat. Correct
size for the standard but his profuse coat made him look a little low to
ground. Lovely head, good mouth,
level topline, adequate length of neck, balanced with correct tailset. Showed and moved well. Unfortunate to meet winner today. 3rd - Lamb &
Saltmarsh's Birselaw Dark Charmer Novice Dog (1) 1st - Birselaw Dark
Charmer Balanced light grey
brindle, nothing wrong with make and
shape. Attractive head, good mouth,
used his ears well. Sound, moved very well. Coat not in condition today. Post Graduate Dog (4) 1st - Percy's Winetta
Sir Ivor Dark red brindle, a
quality Cairn. Most expressive head with definite stop, strong jaw, dark
hazel eye of correct shape. Balanced
with adequate length of neck and leg.
Moved freely, drove from the rear, true front movement. Harsh coat, presented well but not
overdone. Alert and responded well to
handler. One to watch for the future.
RCC 2nd - Parkin's
Carradine My Mate Matthew Wheaten brindle with a
pleasing head. Dark ears, used well, correct mouth. Balanced throughout with a level topline,
kept on the move. Tailset good and
tail carried correctly. Moved OK,
showed steadily for handler. 3rd - Miller's Cornton
Dark Corrie Res - Fortune's Eglish
Spitting Image with Essdeeeff Limit Dog - (4) 1st - Inett &
Engerbretsen's Carradine Dexter Dark red brindle, very
alert and confident. A balanced Cairn
who had a very profuse coat on the day.
Although I found a good length of neck this was obscured somewhat due
to his copious coat. Pleasing head,
broad skull, definite stop, well furnished.
Correct mouth. Level
topline, showing very well. Moved
with ease around the ring with plenty of rear drive. 2nd - Lamb &
Saltmarsh's Renshaw There and Back Again under Macmoon ShCm Dark brindle, nice
type. Broad skull, expressive eyes.
Strong male, well muscled with excellent coat in good condition. Very showy. 3rd - Miller's Cornton
Coulter Res - Fortune's Willies
Wee Man with Essdeeeff Open Dog (4) 1st - Waites'
Svendalens Snow Knight Upstanding wheaten brindle
male, a strong Cairn. Powerful
muzzle, strong jaw, good stop, dark ears.
Lovely big teeth. Lovely flow of neck, no stuffiness. Good bone,
smooth, sloping shoulders, strong hindquarters with good bend of stifle. Level topline kept on the move. Moved freely and easily. Harshest of coats. Responded well to
owner. CC & BOB 2nd - Shaw's Ch
Honeyhall Headboy Grey brindle, nice type,
well balanced. Pleasing head, deep
stop, nice dark eye. Adequate flow of
neck, correct front construction, level topline. True mover in front and
drove from the rear. Showed very well
indeed but preferred coat condition of winner. 3rd - Shannon, Storr &
Kaplan's Am GCH Brenndarcy Borgen (Re-Imp) Res - Lamb &
Saltmarsh's Birselaw Fable of Macmoon ShCm Junior Bitch (2) 1st - Osborn's Tweslam
Born To Bewitch Light red, very feminine
head and expression. Good mouth with
correct bite. Small ears, used
well. Clean shoulders, level topline,
good spring of rib. Correct
tailset. Lively showgirl. True front
movement. 2nd - Dawson's Sybster
Saffron Another light red,
preferred length of back and leg of winner.
Kept her handler on her toes! Novice Bitch (1) 1st - Sybster Saffron Post Graduate Bitch (8,
1 ab) 1st - McGrath's
Brenndarcy Cinnamon Girl Bright red bitch in
excellent double coat and hard condition.
Well balanced and feminine with the best of heads, good mouth. Good length of neck into sloping
shoulders, kept her level topline on the move. Nice bend of stifle.
Moved really soundly. Handler needs to keep her on the move to get the
best out of her. 2nd - Felters &
Rumens' Tweedisle Playing with Fire at Landbuck Bright red, a nice quality
bitch. Sound and nicely balanced.
Good bone. Level topline. Excelled in showmanship and moved freely
around the ring. Just preferred the
length of neck of winner but a close decision. 3rd - Waites' Seveek Snow
Angel with Svendalens Res - Marshall &
Gavaghan's Doonrae Million Dollar Baby VHC - Berrecloth's Sybster

Lexicon of Love Took my eye as soon as she
entered the ring. Very smart,
feminine wheaten brindle with a lovely head.
Deep stop, dark hazel eye, strong jaw, correct length of muzzle. Good flow of neck into clean sloping
shoulders. Straight front, level topline, strong in rear with good bend of
stifle. In excellent coat and
condition, presented to perfection, showed steadily and a really sound
mover. CC 2nd - Hogarty's Cadagio
Dressed to Impress Similar type to
winner. Good head and eye, broad
skull, well defined stop. Sound with enough bone. Front and rear assembly OK.
Level topline, kept on the move.
Correct tailset. Moved freely but didn't quite have the showmanship of
winner. 3rd - Shannon &
Storr's Brenndarcy Dizzee Rascal Res - Confue's Anjofra
Mymble Open Bitch (5, 1 ab) 1st - Felters &
Rumens' Ch Landbuck Zanthe Feminine cream with dark
points. Correct size. Attractive head
with lovely dark eye and ears.
Adequate flow of neck, clean shoulders. Straight front, level topline, good bend of stifle, well
muscled. A very animated showgirl in excellent profuse coat. Movement very
true and steady. RCC 2nd - Bateman &
Inett's Carradine In Love with Amy Grey brindle bitch with
typical dark points. Sound and well
made throughout with well sprung deep ribs.
Typical head and expression, good mouth. Straight front and slim shoulders. Strong and well muscled rear which provided good drive. Lovely harsh coat, well presented.
Energetic showgirl who moved steadily. Very close decision. 3rd - Hogarty's Ir Ch
