Crufts - March 2016 I would like to thank
Crufts for inviting me to judge at their 125 year anniversary show and
everyone at home and abroad for their good wishes. Thanks also to my
excellent stewards and all the exhibitors for making my day so enjoyable. Whilst my winners were
very good examples of the breed l do feel that heads need to be of some
concern. Quite a few were not typical and muzzles in some cases are too long
which distracts from the true cairn expression. Mouths are another concern
with narrow jaws and small misplaced teeth. Veteran Dog 9 (2) 1st Smith's CH
Roscovale Razzledazzle - 10 year old dark brindle with good head, level
topline, showed and moved well when settled. 2nd Lamb &
Saltmarsh's Birselaw Fable of Macmoon - 7 year old dark brindle , showed and
moved well, coat not at its best. 3rd Bateman
& Saich's Dandy Boy Spud. 7 year old, showed well in very good coat and
condition. Minor Puppy Dog 1 (0) 1st Goud's Vale
of Atholl's Earl of Mansfield - Wheaten with good mouth and eye, harsh coat
and in good condition. Movement improved when settled. Puppy Dog 6 (2) 1st Yates &
Johnson's Nordcairns Quiero Mucho of Pendley - Red brindle with good head,
level topline, correct tail set. Coat in very good condition. Needs time,
moved well when settled. Best Puppy Dog. 2nd Shopland's
Trekhilli Mister Bean at Cherrycrack - Dark brindle with strong head, dark
eye, level topline. Lost out to 1 on movement. 3rd Felters
& Rumens Landbuck Mister Tom - Wheaten with good mouth and eye, needs to
settle when moving. Junior Dog 6 (1) 1st Catto's
Birselaw Stay With Me - Dark brindle with good head, mouth and eye. In good
coat and condition, moved steadily. 2nd Keeves
Seveek I Spied That Dream - Red with good mouth and eye, level topline. Lost
out to 1 on movement. 3rd Marshall's
Brenndarcy Lord Marmaduke Avec Strathgarten - Wheaten with good head and
level topline moved well in front. Yearling Dog 10 (1) 1st Inett,
Harrison,King & Leighton's Ch Carradine George Flies with Harkinleigh -
Dark brindle with good strong head, correct mouth ,eyes and ears. Good neck
and shoulders, level topline and tail set, Moved well both front and rear. 2nd
Weinberger's Correnie No No Romeo - Red brindle with good head, mouth and
eye. Good shoulders leading to level topline and well set tail. Needs time to
mature to complete the picture. Moved well. 3rd Marshall's
Brenndarcy Lord Marmaduke Avec Strathgarten. Post Graduate Dog 12 (1) 1st
Weinberger's Correnie Hurricane Fly - Red brindle with typical head, good
neck and shoulders, topline and well set tail. Moved and showed well. 2nd Anderson's
Birselaw Never Say Never at Kerrykeel - Dark brindle similar in type and
confirmation to 1. Moved and showed well. 3rd
Smook-VanKoolbergen's Zipcode Cloud of Joy - Light red, with good head and
shoulders, not moving as well as 1 and 2. Limit Dog 9 (0) 1st Hughes
Gyncairn Magical Mystery - Wheaten with good head, eye, ears and neck. Lovely
front, level topline and correct tail set. Moved steadily, well presented. 2nd Kinton's
Woodthorpe I Know the Code - Brindle with good head, level topline and good
tail set. Lost out to 1 on movement to-day. 3rd Day's
Cherrycrack Ludo at Trekhilli - Dark brindle with strong head, correct neck
and topline. Moved OK. Open Dog 13 (0) 1st Shaw's CH
Honeyhall Headboy - Dark brindle with the correct head and wicked expression
with well defined stop. Good neck and shoulders, level topline and well set
tail. Very good coat and condition. Moved round the ring very well. Worthy
champion and delighted to award him best dog and best of breed. 2nd Thomas's CH
Tycando I Spy - Dark brindle in heavy coat and very good condition. Correct
head, neck and topline. Showed and moved well. RCC 3rd Alexander's
CH Stirlingview Shake the Dice - Wheaten with good head,eye.ears,neck and
topline. Moved and showed well. Good Citizen Dog Scheme
-Dog 3 (1) 1st Lamb and
Saltmarsh's Renshaw There and Back Again Under Macmoon - Dark brindle with
good eye and ears. In good condition. 2nd Morley's
Kedvaiy Locomotion - Dark brindle preferred outline of 1. Veteran Bitch 7 (1) 1st Felters and
Rumens CH Landbuck Jazz Hands - 8 year old wheaten with good head and
expression. Moved and showed very well. 2nd King,
Leighton, Inett and Harrison's Curtisey Foreign Account with Carradine - 9
year old dark brindle in good coat and condition, moved well. 3rd Thompson's
CH Castleline Bonnie - Wheaten 9 year old moved and showed well. Minor Puppy Bitch 2 (0) 1st Dolan's
Glenrood Burlesque - Very smart and confident red baby. With good head, dark
eye, level topline and good angulation. In excellent coat and condition.
Moved and showed very well. Best Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy. 2nd Goud's Vale
of Atholl's Bessie Brown - Wheaten with dark points. Good mouth ,eye and
ears. Level topline, in between coats, needs time to complete the picture. Puppy Bitch 4 (1) 1st Parker
Tucker's Uniquecottage Florey - Wheaten brindle with good mouth, head ,neck
and tail set. Moved well when settled. 2nd Thompson's
Castleline Caledonian Lass - Dark brindle with good mouth, dark eyes and
ears. New coat coming through. Moved OK. 3rd Oxman's
Cannwood Contessa - Wheaten showing well in good coat. Junior Bitch 14 (0) 1st Miller's
Cornton RoseMaree - Wheaten brindle in very good coat and condition with nice
dark eye, lovely head, good tail set. Moved and showed well. Promising. 2nd Inett,
Harrison and Clayton's Carradine Madam Molly - Brindle similar to 1, moved
and showed well. 3rd Keeves
Seveek Hopes N Dreams - Red just in between coats. Moved and showed steadily. Yearling Bitch 14 (2) 1st Robinson's
Cruzo Corn Bunting - Red in very good coat and condition. Lovely head with
very good expression, mouth ,eye and ears. Lovely neck flowing into good
topline and tail set. Good front and rear angulation. Moved with drive.
Showed all the time and stood out in the challenge for best bitch. Best Bitch
CC. 2nd Keeves
Seveek Hopes N Dreams 3rd Inett,
Harrison and Clayton's Carradine Connies Kirsty - Brindle in good coat and
condition not using her ears today. Moved positively. Post Graduate Bitch 15 (3) 1st Robinson's
Cruzo Capriole - Silver brindle with lovely head and expression. Good mouth,
dark eye, neck and level topline, very well set tail. Good front and rear
angulation. In very good coat and condition. Showed all out in the challenge
for best bitch. RCC 2nd Thomas's
Tycando Morning Star - Brindle with good mouth, head, topline and tail set.
In good coat and condition. Moved well. 3rd Osborne's
Tweslam Born to Bewitch - Red with good mouth, dark eye, tail set and neat
ears. Level topline. Limit Bitch 13 (3) 1st Owen's
Caldwall Carefree - Brindle with very good head, mouth. Nice neck and
shoulders. In excellent harsh coat and condition. Moved and showed very well. 2nd Hughes and
Hooton's Gyncairn Believe In Magic - Wheaten with good head, correct mouth,
level topline and well set tail. Moved with drive and showed well. 3rd Waugh's
Tribannon Minuet - Wheaten with very good outline , moved well when settled. Open Bitch 15 (3) 1st Hooton's
Penticharm Starlight - Dark brindle with good outline, neck and shoulders.
Moved with drive and showed very well. Very well presented. 2nd Owen's CH
Caldwall Call the Shots - Silver brindle with very good head, correct stop,
neck and shoulders. Just preferred 1 on the day - close decision. 3rd Alexander's
Stirlingview Peggy Sue - Dark brindle with good head and topline. Unlucky to
meet 1 and 2. Good Citizens Dog Scheme
Bitch 4 (0) 1st Keeves Ch
Seevek Living the Dream - Red with good mouth, eye and ears, Level topline. 2nd Byrne's
Little Miss Tonka - Red with good eyes and ears. Not showing all out today. 3rd Dawson's
Sybster Saffron - Red with new coat just coming through, did not settle on
