CAIRN JUDGE MANCHESTER 16

Cairn Terriers

Thank you for the nice entry & the sporting atmosphere around the ring, overall there was quite a mixture of different types but I was pleased overall with my winners. I was disappointed to find a few exhibits were rather smelly, there really is no excuse not to present a dog in a clean condition!

PD (6,2a)

1 Yates & Johnson’s Nordcairns Quiero Mucho of Pendley, what a professional this young man is with wonderful attitude & real terrier expression. Shown in great coat with lovely head & good mouth, well set ears, good reach of neck, front legs well set under, correct body proportions with well sprung ribs, good topline & tailset. Strong hindquarters gave him a lovely stride & super carriage on the move. I really loved him. BP;

2 Felters & Rumens’ Landbuck Mister Tom, really liked the type of this young man with his lovely temperament & good coat. Lovely expression, correct stop, well set ears of nice size, good reach of neck, just needs time to develop a little more ribcage, good topline & tailset, very stylish on the move;

3 Shopland’s Trekhilli Mister Bean at Cherrycrack.

JD (2,1)

1 Keeves’ Seveek I Spied That Dream, mature male with lovely temperament who could be in better coat. Very nice head with broad skull, correct stop & well shaped eyes & well placed ears, good reach of neck, a little short in upper arm & could have better front, well sprung ribs, good topline & strong hindquarters, can move very well when he puts his mind to it but doesn’t always make the most of himself.

PGD (4,1)

1 Waites’ Swendalens Perseverance, well presented with very good coat. Well balanced male with very nice expression, broad skull & correct stop, good mouth & small well placed ears. Good reach of neck, a little short in upper arm, good ribcage & topline, tail set a little high, strong hindquarters, scored in movement & carriage over2

2 Parker-Tucker’s Uniquecottage Winsford, masculine dog in good coat & nice size. Very nice head with correct stop, good mouth & well set ears. Good reach of neck, could have more layback of shoulder & front legs could be set further under the body, well sprung ribs, good topline & tailset, could carry himself better on the move;

3 Confue & Pavlova’s Anjofra Roulette Russe.

LD (9,1)

1 Inett, Harrison, King & Leighton’s Carradine George Flies with Harkinleigh, took my eye at the very start of the class making the most of himself. Nice head with correct stop, well set ears & good mouth. Correct amount of bone, good reach of neck, well sprung ribs, excellent topline & tailset, strong hindquarters which he used to best advantage on the move, very nice carriage & temperament & correct coat. CC & BOB;

2 Bateman & Gompel’s Carradine Terrie Tipple, liked the overall proportions of this dog, but not the maturity of winner. Well balanced head, good mouth, could have smaller ears & they are slightly low set. Correct bone, good reach of neck, front could be more set under him, good topline & tail carriage, very easy mover keeping his nice outline. Correct coat;

3 Day’s Cherrycrack Ludo at Trekhilli.

OD (4,1)

1 Catto’s Once Upon A Time at Birselaw, difficult decision between these three but winner scored on ribcage & overall balance & masculinity. Well balanced head, could have a little more stop & rise of skull. Nice expression, well set ears. Good reach of neck, well laid shoulders, good topline & tailset, carries himself well on the move. RCC;

2 Shopland’s Hjohoo’s A Kind Hjo Can’t Find On Cherrycrack, appealed with his overall attitude & size, very nice head & expression, neat well set ears, good mouth, good reach of neck, needs more layback of shoulder, good body but could have more ribcage & is a little short, good topline & tailset, strong hindquarters, loved the way he carried himself going round the ring;

3 Lamb & Saltmarsh’s Renshaw There And Back Again under Macmoon. VD (2,1) 1 Parkin’s Roachdee Mystery Of The Full Moon, 9 year old still looking like a youngster. Lovely head & expression with correct stop & small neat, well set ears. Could have better mouth. Good reach of neck, a little short in upper arm, well sprung ribs, good topline & tailset, very nice carriage on the move.

PB (10,2)

1 Short’s Splinterhill's Amazing Grace to Glenchess, well presented feminine bitch with excellent coat, nice size & correct bone who scored in her overall maturity & balance. Very nice head, with good mouth, nice expression & well set ears. Good reach of neck, good ribcage, topline & tailset, well let down hocks, moves really well keeping her lovely outline;

2 Dolan’s Glenrood Burlesque, very eyecatching bitch of very nice type. Very nice head & expression, good mouth, ears a little high set, good reach of neck, forelegs set well under, good body & topline and tail set, could be a little shorter in loin, strong hindquarters, lovely free mover with a very nice outline;

3 Oxman’s Cannwood Contessa.

JB (9,1)

1 Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Moonstruck, well balanced feminine bitch of nice size & correct bone. Pleasing head with good mouth & lovely expression, ears a little high set. Liked her length of neck & layback of shoulder, forelegs set well under her, well sprung ribs, good topline & tail carriage, showed & moved well, in good coat, nice free mover;

2 Keeves’ Seveek Hopes N’ Dreams, liked the overall balance of this one & the way she strides round the ring keeping her nice outline. Very nice head with correct stop, good mouth & lovely expression. Good reach of neck, could have a longer upper arm & more layback of shoulder, good ribcage & nice body proportions, good topline & tailset, strong hindquarters which she used to best advantage;

3 Miller’s Cornton Rosemaree.

PGB (6,1)

1 Drew’s Miketos Marvellous Fiona at L’Artiste, outstanding winner in this class. Shown in lovely coat & condition, of nice size & correct bone. Lovely head & expression, with correct stop, broad skull, good mouth & well set ears. Good reach of neck, well laid shoulders with front set well under her, great topline & tailset, strong hindquarters, lovely easy mover with very nice outline. Was a strong contender in the challenge;

2 Tester’s Lindcoly Hint Of Trouble, unplaced in Junior but showing & moving much better in this class. Still quite immature, with well balanced head, nice expression & good mouth, could have neater, better set ears. Good reach of neck could have more layback of shoulder, & more spring of rib, good topline, well let down hocks, just could be a bit more positive on the move;

3 Waites’ Specially Designed at Svendalens.

LD (9)

1 Inett, Harrison & Clayton’s Carradine Connie Kirsty, very close decisions in this class. In the end I liked the overall balance of the winner & her positive movement. Very nice head with correct stop, & good mouth, well set neat ears, could have slightly better expression, good neck & shoulder. Well sprung ribs, good topline & tailset, strong hindquarters, very nice carriage on the move;

2 Dolan’s Glenrood Scheherazade, initially I thought she would be my winner with her lovely femininity, nice size & correct bone, charming head & expression, good mouth, well set ears, really keen expression. Good reach of neck, could have a little more length of upper arm, good body & topline, well let down hocks, just needs to be a little more positive on the move;

3 Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Fortune Teller.

OB (8,2)

A difficult class.

1 Confue’s Anjofra Mad About Me, I loved the femininity of the winner, her lovely attitude & nice size. Lovely head & expression with neat well placed ears & correct stop. Scored in front with her good neck & well laid shoulders, front set well under her, good topline & tailset, well let down hocks, wish she would carry herself just that little bit better on the move but as the class went on she got better & better. CC;

2 Owens’ Caldwell Carefree, I liked the overall type of this feminine bitch of correct size with nice head & expression, good mouth, good reach of neck excellent body proportions, correct tailset, strong hindquarters. Carries herself well on the move, just could be a little better in front. Very close decision. RCC;

3 Felters & Rumens’ Ch Landbuck Xanthe.

VB (2,1)

1 Byrne’s Little Miss Tonka, youthful 8 years old still moving really well. Lovely head & expression with correct stop, good mouth & well set ears. Good reach of neck, could have more layback of shoulder, well sprung ribs, good topline & hindquarters, moved & showed really well. BV.
