Three Counties Canine Society

10 June 2017

Cairn Terriers

Many thanks to the exhibitors for their entries and distances travelled.  Thanks also to the society for the invitation and to my 2 stewards who kept things running smoothly.  I found mouths on the whole were good as were coats and presentation.  Temperaments were also good.

Minor Puppy Dog (2, 1abs)

1       Mansell’s Bailey Bill. A confident red brindle youngster with a level topline and good tailset. Needs to settle in rear movement.

Puppy Dog (no entries)

Junior Dog (2)

1       Ball’s Lentrica Let’s Dance At Calamondin. Lots to like about this wheaten brindle who has a masculine head with desirable dark points.  He has a good reach of neck with well laid shoulders and level topline.  Moved well both ways.  Will watch his progress with interest.

2       Day’s Trekhilli Pepparazzi. Well presented dark brindle with a good head and earset.  Moved okay, but preferred rear movement of 1.

Post Graduate Dog (5, 1abs)

1       Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Tinsoldat. Nicely balanced red with a masculine head.  Liked his overall construction. Moved and showed well.  Presented in a full coat of good texture.

2       Day’s Trekhilli Pepparazzi

3       Parker-Tucker’s Uniquecottage Silver Askin

Limit Dog (7, 2abs)

1       Mears’ Glenmear Mcintyre. RCC. Liked the size and overall balance of this red brindle who has a typical head/expression – no mistaking he is a male.  He is well put together and strode around the ring showing his good movement. Full of animation.

2       Waugh’s Tribuns Licorice Coin at Tribannon(Imp). Up to size lively dark brindle with a masculine head and good coat.  Moved well both ways.

3       Keeves’ Seveek I Spied That Dream

Open Dog (4)

1       Kinton’s Ch Woodthorpe I Know The Code. CC/BOB.  Handsome grey brindle with a good layback of shoulder, level topline, good tailset and well muscled quarters.  Moved true both ways and covered the ground well.  Well presented in a jacket of good texture.  In excellent overall condition and on top form.  Pleased to award him the CC and BOB.  Delighted to hear later he was shortlisted in the group.

2       Inett, Harrison King & Leighton’s Ch Carradine George Flies with Harkinleigh JW.  Nicely presented red brindle shown in good coat.  He has a good head and good overall balance.  Covered the ground well.
