Dog Tired!
CRITIQUE Twenty-two of the original
23 exhibits were present. As a lad, I met the Redletter Cairns on Betty
Munt's dog bus and judged my first breed classes 35 yrs ago. I attended the
Sth Wales & West of England Club Ch Show to "look and learn" in
2012 and obtained a Jap Credit in 2013 that enables the KC Judges Sub to
discount the 110 hands on requirement to 55. I had 76. I only mention this
for those cynics who assume the likes of me to be 'fast tracked' and lack
interest. MPD (1) 1 Saich's Glendream Hear Me Road For
Lindcoly. 6 mth brindle, quality baby of excellent type and conformation,
good head features, well defined stop, good shape, medium proportions, well
ribbed already, harsh coat, went well, very promising. PD (3) 1 Peers' Tweedisle
Lively Lad. 10 mths, cracking youngster, stood well forward to give
upstanding head carriage and plenty of 'daylight' underneath, correct head
proportions, good eye and ears, truly medium and balanced throughout, level,
strong loin, good angulation without exaggeration, excellent jacket, active,
free, sound mover, struck me as being of CC quality hence awarded not only
BPIB but also Res DCC. 2 Saich's G Hear Me Roar
For L. 3 Parker-Tucker's
Uniquecottage Grey Balm. JD (1) 1 Day's Trekhilli
Pepperazzi. 16 mths dark brindle, superb head and expression with correct
alignment of tip of ear through centre of eye to nose, medium proportions,
can firm at elbow and ran close in rear. PGD (3, 1) 1 Thompson's
Castleline Barn Dance. 3 yrs, combined breed type with soundness and activity,
good eye and ears, correct, balanced angles, medium height and length, harsh
jacket, should readily progress through the ranks to challenge the best. 2 Peers' Tweedisle Tugman.
2 yrs, good slightly rounded skull topped by small, well carried ears, firm front,
level, good overall conformation, touch longer cast even than medium, short
of coat. OD (3) 1 Kinton's Ch
Woodthorpe I Know The Code. 3 yrs, brindle, so much to like, workmanlike,
stands well forward, broad skull, lovely head and eye, strong jaw, medium
length, harshest of jackets, good tail carriage, strong, sound mover, prefer
a touch more length of leg for ideal balance, gave a consistently impressive
performance to well deserve DCC and BOB. 2 Waugh's Tribuns Licorice
Coin At Tribannon (Imp). 20 mths, good type, excellent head and eye, well set
on neck, level, not as clean in front, longer cast, excellent jacket. 3 Saich's Lindcoly Sword
In The Stone. VD (1) 1 Parker-Tucker's
Uniquecottage Jumbuck. Seven and a half yrs, very good breed type, most
attractive head, good eye, hardy looking with weather resistant coat,
correctly medium in length, deep ribs, touch low on the leg. MPB (2) 1 Saich's Lindcoly
I Am Moana NAF. 6 mth brindle baby, good head and expression, well made body,
excellent jacket, used herself well on the move, just a little long and low
but time and the growing process may
well change that. 2 Keeves' Seveek Wishes N'
Dreams. 8 mths, raw and plainer headed, good neck and backline, good
quarters, harsh jacket, needs to tighten in front. PB (2) 1 Soper's
Elitecharm Five Of Diamonds. 11 mths, lovely type and conformation, all about
her was medium and balanced that gave her the correct leg length, really nice
head, scoring in eye and ear, ideal body length, good quarters, free moving
very promising. 2 Saich's L I Am Moana
NAF. JB (3) 1 Dolan's Glenrood
Spell Dance. 14 mths, cracking teenager of excellent breed type, absolutely
feminine, attractive head and eye, correctly balanced in angles as well as in
height and length, good ribs, level, good tail carriage, demonstrated reach
and drive, exciting youngster taking Res BCC to her half sister. 2 Sullivan's Glenrood
Magic Pettra. Litter sister, equally feminine and typy, narrower in muzzle,
good neck and backline, medium length, balanced, less forward in her
development, quality youngster. 3 Saich's Lindcoly Let's
Just Talk. PGB (3) 1 Thompson's
Castleline Caledonian Lass. 2 yrs, lovely head with good skull, eye and ear,
clean front, well bodied, medium length, medium leg length, went true and
active, should readily progress through the senior classes. 2 Parker-Tucker's
Uniquecottage Fennel. 2 yrs, good head type, firm topline, good rib and
quarters, just a little low on the leg for ideal, medium balance. 3 Saich's Lindcoly
Sweetest Oreo. OB (3) 1 Dolan's GLenrood
Scheherazade. Three and a half yrs, absolute quality, correct in so many
breed specifics, beautifully balanced with her medium proportions, good in
head, definite stop, all features duly aligned, good in neck and topline,
firm loin, good jacket, moved true and with reach and drive, ticked the most
boxes in the challenge to take BCC. 2 Parker-Tucker's
Uniquecottage Florey. Two and a half yrs, also very typy, good overall
conformation, lovely head and expression, sound, excellent jacket, just not
the balance, being relatively long and low. 3 Keeves' Seveek Hopes N'
Dreams JW ShCM. Howard Ogden |
