MRS MARMALADE MEMORIAL STAKES

Midland Cairn Terrier Club - July 15 2017

Many thanks to the Midland Cairn Terrier Club for inviting me to judge at their championship show. An engagement I was happy at last to fulfill. My thanks to my stewards. I found one or two exhibits with incorrect mouths and missing teeth, something I feel needs to be of concern along with movement especially at the rear. My main winners pleased me and set a standard others should strive to attain.

Veteran Dog or Bitch 8 (2)

1^st Felters & Rumens CH Landbuck Jazz Hands JW. 9 year old wheaten in good harsh coat,correct head, eye, mouth tail set. Level topline, moved very well. Best Veteran

2^nd Osborn's Tweslam Maid by Magic JW Red in very good coat and condition with typical head. Good mouth level top line. Moved well

3^rd Smith's Ch Roscovale Razzle Dazzle

Minor Puppy Dog No Entries

Puppy Dog 2

1^st Peers Tweedsisle Lively Lad. Red brindle with good head, correct mouth. Excellent length of neck,good shoulders, straight front, well set tail. Moved with drive at the rear. Showed well when settled . Best Puppy

2^nd Reeves Cairngold Bubble. Red with good mouth,eye and ears. Level topline and well set tail. Needs to settle when moving.

Junior Dog 4 (1)

1^st Ball's Lentrica Let's Dance at Calamondin. Wheaten brindle with correct head and eye, level topline and good tail set. Good harsh coat coming through. Moved steadily.

2^nd Owen's Caldwall on Call. Wheaten brindle with very good head, dark eye, neck and shoulders. Level topline with good angulation at rear. A bit of a handful on the move needs time to settle.

3^rd Shannon and Storr's Brenndarcy Alladin Sane.

Graduate Dog 1

1^st Owen's Caldwall Called to Order. Wheaten with good mouth, correct head, level topline. In good coat and condition. Moved with drive.

Post Graduate Dog 4

1^st Shannon and Storr's Brenndarcy Tinsoldat. Red with correct head. In excellent coat and condition. Level topline. Moved well both front and rear, and deserved Res CC.

2^nd Smith's Roscovale Danish Delight. Good head but not using his ears well to-day.Moved well in front and showed well.

3^rd Purvis's Mighty Rearranger with Mosspur.

Limit Dog 7

1^st Waugh's Tribuns Licorice Coin at Tribannon.(Imp). Upstanding dark brindle with good neck topline and tail set. An out and out showman. Needed time to settle before moving correctly.

2^nd Catto's Birselaw Stay With Me. Dark brindle with good mouth, neck and shoulders. Moved well in front but preferred movement of 1.

3^rd Smith's Roscovale Distant Drums.

Open Dog 2

1^st Weinberger's Correnie Hurricanes Fly. Red brindle with typical head. Good mouth, eye and ears. Good neck and shoulders leading to level topline. Well set tail. In very good coat and condition. Moved correctly both front and rear. CC and BOB

2^nd Waites Ch Svendalens Snow Knight. Dark brindle with good mouth, eye and ears. Moved steadily preferred movement of 1

Special Beginners Dog or Bitch 4 (2)

1^st Purvis's Mighty Rearranger with Mosspur. Wheaten in good coat and condition.

2^nd Davis's Cloverbrook Harris Tweed.

Minor Puppy Bitch 2 (1)

1^st Osborn's Tweslam Over the Rainbow. Dark brindle with good eye and mouth. In good coat and condition.

Puppy Bitch 1

1^st Soper's Elitecharm Five of Diamonds. Wheaten with good mouth, dark eye,level topline and tail set. Between coats but with a new harsh coat coming in. Moved freely.

Junior Bitch 3

1^st Miller's Cornton Star Turn, Wheaten brindle with correct head, topline and tail set. In good coat and condition. Moved well when settled.

2^nd Felters and Rumens Lentricia Fame at Landbuck. Wheaten brindle with good head, topline and tail set. In very good coat and condition. Just preferred the movement of 1.

3^rd Petts Brenndarcy Hunky Dory Among Doonrae.

Gradate Bitch7 (2)

1^st Miller's Birselaw Midnight Sun over Cornton. Dark brindle with correct head, eye and good front. Correct tail set. Moved steadily when settled.

2^nd McGrath and Inett's Carradine Tinkerbelle for Owenreagh TAF. Dark brindle with good mouth,eye, ears and well set tail. Not as positive as 1 on the move.

3^rd Dennis's Svendalens Knight's Passion

Post Graduate Bitch 4

1^st Smith's Cannwood Misty Dawn at Gethlee. Wheaten with typical head, correct mouth. Good neck, shoulders and front. Level topline and tail set. In good coat and condition. Moved well both front and rear. Res CC

2^nd Catto's Birselaw Paige Turner. Dark brindle with good head, dark eye and level topline. Well set tail. In between coats. Preferred movement of 1.

3^rd Purvis's Mighty Rearranger with Mosspur.

Limit Bitch 3

1^st Miller's Cornton Rosemaree. Brindle with typical head, level topline, good front and well set tail. Moved well.

2^nd Shannon and Storr's Brenndarcy Cloudbursting. Red with correct mouth,eye and tail set. Coat in good condition. Moved steadily.

3^rd Osborn's Tweslam Born to Bewitch.

Open Bitch 4 (2)

1^st Robinson's Cruzo Capriole. Silver brindle with a quality head and expression and dark eye. Correct neck leading to level topline and good tail set. Good front and rear angulation. Moved well. In very good coat and condition. Just lacked a bit of sparkle in challenge for best in show. Bitch CC

2^nd Confue's Anjofra Mad About Me. Dark brindle. Smaller type to 1. Good mouth, eye and ears. In good coat and condition. Moved steadily.

Brace 2

1^st Osborn's. Two reds very alike. In good coat and condition.

2^nd Denis's
