WELSH KENNEL CLUB - 2017

Thank you for the entry which at times was challenging, a number of the exhibits were shown in good order and were well handled, however there were a few who's chances were spoilt by nonchalant handling, to train a dog to walk up and down in a straight line, on a loose lead is something that anybody can do, it only takes a little time and effort.

PD 1 Peers Tweedisle Lively Lad, a most promising light red brindle dog from this established prefix, I have judged him on a previous occasion when just over 6 months  of age and pleased to see that everything is going in the right direction, liked his overall make  and shape, moved freely just needs to tighten in front, correct harsh coat, he is a good showman, pleased to award him Best Puppy

.

JD 1 Owens Caldwall On Call, a wheaten brindle, typical in outline, nice dark eye, well placed ears  and alert expression, good front, harsh double coat, moved freely when settled, at the in between stage at the moment.

ND 1 Owens Caldwall Call To Order, litter brother to 'On Call' and similar remarks apply.

GD 1 Balls Lentrica Let's Dance At Calamondin, a wheaten brindle with quality, shapely outline, appealed for his head  and expression, good neck  and well laid shoulders, level topline, correct tailset, good harsh coat, moved freely  and with purpose, given a touch more time and I'm sure he will trouble the best.

2 Gouds Vale Of Atholl's Earl Of Mansfield, another wheaten, good dark eye, well placed ears, has the desired double coat, well made quarters, moved with drive but failed in front movement, couldn't match the winners outline.

PGD 1 Thompsons Castleline Barn Dance, a good honest workmanlike wheaten with dark points, typy head  and expression, pleasing in body, good bone  and feet, has a double coat, moved well both ways, would prefer him to show with more animation but he did enough to win this place.

2 Peers Tweedisle Tugman, light red also with dark points, typical in outline, pleasing head  and expression, responsive showman, lost out in front movement to the winner.

3 Carter and Clarkes Lentrica Rocket Man At Carernwil.

LD (A very good class) 1 Shannon and Storrs Brenndarcy Tinsoldat, a red dog that appealed for his excellent breed type, size  and stance, typical masculine outline without being oversize, liked his head, well placed ears, dark eye  and defied stop, good bone, fair reach of neck, good spring of rib, well made quarters, moved freely  and with drive, not always showing off his full potential however the more I looked at him the more I liked him, won the CC over some strong opposition.

2 Waughs Tribuns Licorice Coin At Tribannon, a quality dark brindle dog, also owns a good head  and keen expression, good reach of neck, well laid shoulders, level topline, correct tailset, moved freely, looked well in profile, pushed the winner all the way and on today's form should certainly gain his crown, RCC.

3 Mears Glenmear Mcintyre

OD 1 Inett, Harrison, King and Leightons Ch Carradine George Flies with Harkinleigh, an eye catching dark brindle dog that was presented in super coat  and condition, liked his make  and shape, showed with style, his movement couldn't match that of the CC  and RCC winners.

VB 1 Smiths Glenmear Sproxton Lass Of Gethlee, a dark brindle of almost 8 years, good mouth, typical dark eye, well placed ears, good coat, moved freely.

MPB 1 Halls Carradine Let's Go, a very feminine dark brindle one, very typical, would prefer a touch more bone for her size, showed well, moved ok once settled.

2 Saichs Lindcoly I Am Moana, very much a baby needing time  and confidence.

PB 1 Sopers Elitecharm Five Of Diamonds, a wheaten bitch with a balanced outline, feminine head  and expression, in nice order, showed well.

2 Lindcoly I Am Moana

JB 1 Dolans Glenrood Spell Dance, an attractive silver brindle that scored with her feminine outline, has a dark eye, defied stop  and well placed ears, neck of fair reach, pleasing in body, nice quarters, correct tailset, she was presented in good coat  and condition, moved  and showed well, given time for maturity I think she is one for the future.

2 Petts Brenndarcy Hunky Dory Among Doonrae, a quality red exhibit with dark points, feminine head  and expression, very good make  and shape, a touch wilful and sometimes made movement difficult to assess.

3 Saichs Lindcoly Sweetest Oreo

NB 1 Fair and Fairs Carradine Miss Marcie At Myrtog, dark brindle with an appealing stance, liked her head  and expression, ample bone  and good feet, well presented harsh coat, good bend of stifle, moved true, handled to advantage.

2 Mcgrath and Inetts Carradine Tinkerbelle For Owenreagh, a red brindle that owns a typical outline, couldn't match the performance of the winner.

GB 1 Carradine Miss Marcie At Myrtog

2 Claytons Carradine Here Comes Dolly, a feminine red bitch with dark points, pleasing in make and shape, preferred the front movement of the winner.

3 Lindcoly Sweetest Oreo

PGB 1 Shorts Uniquecottage Gold Avill To Glenchess, an attractive wheaten that appealed for her overall make  and shape, has a double harsh coat, moved freely, needs to use her ears to better advantage.

2 Osborns Tweslam Gimme Gimme Magic, a showy red with dark points, many positive essentials, in good condition, just lost movement of the winner, but it was a close call.

3 Thompsons Castleline Caledonian Lass

LB 1 Shorts Splinterhill's Amazing Grace To Glenchess,a well presented dark brindle that had an appealing feminine outline, typical head  and keen expression, good spring of rib, level topline, correct tailset, nice quarters, moved freely  and showed well.

2 Shannon and Storrs Brenndarcy Cloudbusting, a light red, good in make  and shape, attractive head  and expression, her double coat was in good order, moved with drive, another close decision.

OB (A quality class) 1 Clarkes Ch Lentrica Dolly Daydream, an eye catching wheaten brindle that is full of quality, oozes breed type, loved her head  and expression, fair reach of neck, well laid shoulders, good front  and bone, big spring of rib, level topline  and correct tailset, moved freely  and with drive, showed with style, very pleased to award her the CC and later Best of Breed.

2 Dolans Glenrood Scheherazadea, a wheaten who again has many fine attributes, lovely outline, good in make  and shape, her coat was well presented, moved and showed very well, just preferred the expression of the winner today, well deserved the RCC.

3 Keeves Seveek Hopes 'N' Dreams.
