BELFAST - 2018 CAIRN TERRIER Thank you for the
honour of judging my first set of CCs at this show. I was delighted with the
quality of the dogs entered under me today. PD (1) 1 Gut's Iceman
From Deerpark NAF TAF. 11 mth old red, excellent coat texture, broad skull,
well placed ears, large perfect bite, moved better in hindquarters, front
needs to settle. JD (2) 1 Lamb &
Saltmarsh's Birselaw Come Dancing With Macmoon. Very promising alert boy in
fine form, coat and condition, super expression, strong rear and correct tail
set, held a good outline on the move. 2 Miller's Cornton Fyne
Fettle. Better in shoulders but not so positive in hind action, lovely head
and expression, in correct coat, well sprung in ribbing. LD (3) 1 Hogarty's
Cadagio Take That. DCC and BOB. Super dog, just what I was looking for,
holding a correct outline on the move, strong rear action, correct length of
body, broad skull, perfect bite, keen expression, coat of correct length and
texture, true show boy who was handled well and looked great in the Group. 2 Lamb &
Saltmarsh's Birselaw Fable Of Macmoon ShCM Ir Vet Ch. Another quality Cairn,
correct for breed type, impressive head, firm neck, strong thighs, free
flowing strides. 3 Lamb &
Saltmarsh's Birselaw Dark Charmer For Macmoon ShCM. Great head and
expression, held topline on the move. OD (4, 1) 1 Gut's Leroy
Of Black Rocky's. RCC. Red boy, excellent head and expression, in excellent
coat and condition, moved out well from correct shoulders and firm short,
strong hocks, level back, thick padded feet. 2 Lamb & Saltmarsh's Renshaw There And
Back Again Under Macmoon ShCM. Hard to believe this boy is 8 yrs old, brindle
coat texture correct, super shoulders, moved out well in the challenge could
have put more effort in, lovely head and expression. 3 Gut's Louis Vuitton
Du Harpouy D'auzan. Another quality boy. PB (1) 1 Catto's
Birselaw Viking Princess. RBCC. Oh she was just what I wish for in a puppy.
Nothing overdone, super head and skull, good pigmentation, super rich red
coat of correct length and texture, throws out her front at the moment but
correct in shoulders, time is on her side and I'm sure she will do well,
level back of medium length, free flowing movement, well handled. I had to
award her the BP and RBCC, she looked great in the Puppy Group. Thank you for
staying. JB (1) 1 Lunn's Trouble
With A Capital Tee. Carrying some extra weight which spoilt the outline,
excellent hindquarters, large perfect bite, shoulders could have been
cleaner, would like to see her with some weight off to complete the picture,
good feet. PGB (2) 1 Miller's
Cornton Starr Turn. Feminine headpiece, super expression, well placed ears,
well ribbed, holding correct topline on the move. 2 Gut's Mata Harie Du
Harpouy D'auzan. Another pretty head, dark eye, correct in hindquarters, body
could have more length. LB (2) 1 Catto's
Birselaw Paige Turner. Broad skull, perfect bite, well placed ears, correct
pigmentation, large perfect bite, strong neck, carrying extra weight, firm in
shoulders, well angulated in hindquarters, moved out well, in super pelt. 2 Alexander's Coharra Class Act. Another
super head and expression, small well placed and carried ears, another
carrying extra weight today, moved as expected, well handled, correct coat
texture. OB (3) 1 Hogarty's Ir
Ch Cadagio As Long As You Have Me. Lovely feminine head, perfect large bite,
small ears, super rich red coat of correct length and texture. The best of
shoulders, straight front, holding a typy outline on the move which was free
and easy. I loved her and felt she looked great next to the RBCC. 2 Gut's Ir Ch Lauren
Bacal Du Harpouy D'auzan. Another promising very feminine head, did consider
for RCC, another day perhaps, well set on neck leading into correct
shoulders, firm well padded feet. 3 Alexander's Coharra
