SCTC Championship Show

Sunday 4^th February 2018

I would like to thank the SCTC for inviting me to judge their Championship Show ,

also to my ring stewards Sharon and Debs for keeping the ring moving smoothly.

It was nice to see so many quality exhibits, movement is still an issue with quite a lot moving close behind. In some classes I felt I was splitting hairs and positions could change on another day.

I was pleased with my line up in both dogs and bitches.

I apologise for my condensed critique and would to say that my winners fulfilled the necessary points of the standard for me even if not mentioned in their critique.

Dog CC & BIS Kinton’s Ch WOODTHORPE I KNOW THE CODE

This lovely all male dog stood out in the ring and did not disappoint on the table he is so sound, loved his head and expression, good stop, mouth with large teeth, good reach of neck and correct shoulders, good spring of ribs and is well muscled, moved round the ring with drive keeping his topline all the way, such a lovely outline when standing. He never put a foot wrong today,pleased to award him the CC and BIS. Ouality Champion.

Res Dog CC Mear’s GLENMEAR McINTYRE

Another quality masculine dog with a lovely head and expression, well balanced with good mouth,neck, shoulders and topline, he moved well round the ring, he seemed unsettled in his class and gave his handler a hard time.

Bitch CC Clarke’s Ch LENTRICA DOLLY DAYDREAM

I think everything has already been said about this Quality bitch she never put a foot wrong and never stopped showing, beautiful feminine head and expression, well balanced with a lovely outline, nothing not to like a credit to the breed, wish we had more of her type. Worthy Champion. A pleasure to award her the CC.

Res Bitch CC Shannon & Storr BRENNDARCY CLOUDBUSTING

A favourite of mine, she is so sound and well balanced, I love her head and expression, nice neck flowing into good shoulders, good topline which she held on the move, in good coat and condition, moved with drive and never stopped showing, lovely outline. Pity to meet Dolly today, her day will come soon I’m sure. Well deserved Res CC

Best Puppy Firth’s CAIRNGOLD CHICO

I loved this 7 month old pup so much to like about him, he is so balanced with a lovely outline, good bone and well muscled for his age, lovely head, good mouth, neck, topline and tailset, moved round the ring as if he owned it, what a showman, he will do well and I will watch with interest.

This bitch had such a lovely outline when standing, lovely feminine head and expression, good mouth, neck, topline and tailset, preferred movement of 1.

Balanced bitch with a lovely head, such a lot to like, mouth, neck, topline, are all good, coat of correct texture, nice girl.
