26 May 2023 Veteran Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1ST Birselaw Dark Charmer for Macmoon ShCM VW
(Ms J & Mr B Lamb & Saltmarsh)
- Looking good for 9 years
young. Has a masculine head, with a clear bright eye of good colour, would
prefer slightly more stop, good mouth for his age, enough length of neck,
level back which he held on the move, good tailset, moved well around the
ring. Junior Dog
Entries: 2 Absentees: 0 1st Pendley Seafarer (Mrs J M Yates-Johnson)
- 14 month youngster has a lovely head
and expression, super ears which are well set, straight front with enough
width of chest, very good neck, shoulders and topline, standing well forward
and showing some forchest, good turn of stifle which gave him drive. 2nd Tycadno Tom Foolery (Mrs J A & Mr G
Jones & Arnold) – Has a lovely eye catching cream coat, having dark tips
to well set ears, now maturing and has a masculine head, with good
expression, good topline and tailset, he just lost out to 1 on his rear
movement. Post Graduate Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1st Glenrood Galaxy at Tribannon (Mrs A
Waugh) - He was really enjoying his day and being a
bit of a handful, I gave him a few runs around the ring to help settle him
down before going on the table, strong head all in proportion with very good
stop, lovely eye and ears, straight front showing some forechest, good depth
and spring of rib, liked his dark brindle coat which was of good texture, he
moved really well as he settled down.
Res CC Limit Dog Entries: 3 Absentees: 0 1st Carradine Arfa Pint JW (Miss L Hiam) - A real natural showman, has a lovely
outline and is good for size and proportions, good head and eye, good ear set
and dark tips, excellent mouth, strong topline held level on the move, good
tail for set and shape, best mover in this very good class. 2nd Lentrica Mystic Warrior (Miss S C &
Miss E S Munday) – Very close decision
between him and 1, Again a very showy young male, good expression, good stop
and nice dark eye, slightly bigger overall, but all in proportion, was
pinning very slightly coming towards, good rear action with drive. 3rd Uniquecottage Grey Borage (Miss A R
Parker-Tucker) Open Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1st Ch Cairngold Chico JW (Mr A, Mrs L &
Miss A M Firth) - What a super Cairn
to go over. He is a little unruly, but this all adds to his overall persona,
good for size, he has a super outline, harsh and dense double coat, excellent
expression, dark eye with well placed ears,
medium length of neck into well laid shoulders, good depth of chest
and well sprung ribs, super topline and tail set, good rear angulation, he
moved well in all directions and I was pleased to award him the CC & BOB Veteran Bitch Entries: 2 Absentees: 0 1st Canwood Misty Dawn at Gethlee (Miss J H
Smith) - A lovely cream 7 year old, she has a
beautiful expression, liked her head shape, good stop, eye and ears set off
with nice dark points, super topline and tail set, in good harsh coat, to be
critical I would prefer her a pound or two lighter. Best veteran 2nd Beranburh Barley Twist (Mrs A J & Mrs
C Davey & Baillie) - In profuse
coat, which made her look a touch short in leg, lovely head and eye, straight
front and showing some forechest, medium length of back which was held level
on the move, Puppy Bitch Entries: 3 Absentees: 0 1st Birselaw Floral Dancer of Uniquecottage
(Miss A R Parker-Tucker) - A lovely promising puppy, feminine head,
really nice expression, enough length of neck into well laid shoulders, good
depth of chest, firm topline and good tail set and carriage, liked her rear
angulation, will look a picture when her coat comes through. Best Puppy 2nd Cloverbrook Shining Star over Gethlee (Miss
J H Smith) - Liked this puppy a lot when standing, more
mature than 1 and has more coat, super front assembly, good straight front,
firm topline when judged on the table, however on the move I couldn’t make my
mind up if it was her coat or a slight rise over the loin. 3rd Cloverbrook Forget Me Not (Mrs J Ballinger) Junior Bitch Entries: 4 Absentees: 0 1st Pendley Sea Breeze (Mrs J M Yates-Johnson)
- I thought she was my CC winner when
she came into the ring and did a warm up lap, she’s a real show girl, super
head, eye and ears, good front, well sprung ribs, level toppling which was
held firm on the move, good tail set and very good rear angulation, very free
flowing as she moved around the ring. Res CC 2nd Be Gin Again at Tweslam (Mrs A & Mr A
Osborn) - She was being a little unruly for her
handler and making it hard work, but she has a lovely outline, good head and
very good stop, dark eye, medium length of neck, straight front, firm and
level topline, in good coat and moved really well as she settled. 3rd Svendalens Snow Drop (Miss S & Mrs A
Dennis & Waites) Res Furythor Marvel at Me (Miss S C & Miss
E S Munday) Post Graduate Bitch Entries: 3 Absentees: 0 1st Glenrood Midnight Spell (Mrs S E Dolan) - Has great ring presence, has good width of
skull, good strong jaw and teeth, straight front and really shows herself
off, well laid shoulders, straight back, in really good coat, good reach and
drive on the move. 2nd Birselaw Cora at Cairngold (Mr A, Mrs L
& Miss A M Firth) - More compact than 1, super head and
expression, good size ears which are set on well, lovely dark eye, good
proportions of muzzle to skull, well sloped shoulders, good topline and tail
set, mowed very well, a close thing in this class. 3rd Tweslam Be Gin The Magic (Mrs A & Mr A
Osborn) Limit Bitch Entries: 2 Absentees: 1 1st Castleline Maitree (Mr S Thompson) - Well presented and of good shape and
size, liked her head shape, very good stop, dark eye and good ear placement
with dark points, enough length of neck, straight back good tail set and
shape, in full coat of good texture, moved steadily. Open Bitch Entries: 4 Absentees: 1 1st Ch Cairngold Chiquitita (Mr A, Mrs L &
Miss A M Firth) - Such a well balanced
bitch, she presented a lovely profile, so easy to go over, in excellent coat
and condition, and sound throughout, she stood there saying “look at me”
lovely head and expression, well laid shoulders, straight front she has a
good depth of chest and well sprung ribs, level topline carried firmly on the
move, well set tail, very free flowing on the move in fact she moved slightly
better than the dog CC winner (but I couldn’t get past him). Well deserved CC 2nd Ch Glory Daze at Tribannon (Mrs A
Waugh) - Such a tough class this one, a 2 year old and still maturing, she has a
super outline, lovely head, dark oval eye, has well laid shoulders, good
depth and spring of rib, level back and well set on tail carried correctly,
in good coat and condition, just needs to come through a bit more., moved
soundly and true. 3rd Carradine Pumpkin Pie (Miss D & Miss R
A & Mrs R Inett & Harrison & Bateman) Judge : Mick Oxley
