Cairn
Terrier Association 18th November 2023 Firstly I
would like to thank the Committee of the CTA for inviting me to judge it’s Championship show, also for their hospitality and
generous gifts. My thanks also go to my excellent steward Sharon Confue who,
on her own, managed to organise the exhibitors ensuring the show ran
smoothly, as well as supporting me, making the day stress free and enjoyable. I had a
good entry and thank my exhibitors for entering under me. I was very pleased
with the overall quality of the Cairns, no obvious major faults, my only
gripe with our breed at the moment is size, there are quite a few up to size
exhibits in the ring at the moment, if we are not careful with our breeding
this could lead to coarseness. I had some difficult decisions and was pleased
with my final line up. VD/B
