Southern Cairn Terrier Club 84th Ch  Show June 2023

Thank you for inviting me to judge the show. This was a super entry with some top quality Cairns present. In bitches I felt there were 5 or 6 worthy of a CC and some quality young males still to reach their potential. Exhibits were in good condition and nicely presented, and generally sound and of good Cairn type. I particularly noted good dentition and clean teeth.

It came down to my main winners being up on their toes, presenting a good outline and moving out with purpose in true Cairn style.

MPD (2,0)

1. Inett & Harrison’s Carradine Ayre Friar. Attractive red, 8 months. Nicely balnced for his age, full harsh coat. Typical Cairn head and expression. A little unsettled, but soon gaind confidence.

 2. McIntyre’s Macantsaoir Celtic Warrior. 7 months grey brindle. Good head, dark eye, alert, moved out steadily. Firm topline, preferred the size and type of 1.

Good bone, feet and pads. The best of heads with dark eye and alert expression. Flowing, positive  movement.  He never put a foot wrong, assertive and standing to attention up on his forepaws. Handled so well and excellent presentation with super harsh coat. He looked a picture. CC  BOB.
